Daniel 2:11-13
New English Translation
11 What the king is asking is too difficult, and no one exists who can disclose it to the king, except for the gods—but they don’t live among mortals!”[a]
12 Because of this the king got furiously angry[b] and gave orders to destroy all the wise men of Babylon. 13 So a decree went out, and the wise men were about[c] to be executed. They also sought[d] Daniel and his friends so that they could be executed.

New International Version
11 What the king asks is too difficult. No one can reveal it to the king except the gods,(A) and they do not live among humans.”
12 This made the king so angry and furious(B) that he ordered the execution(C) of all the wise men of Babylon. 13 So the decree was issued to put the wise men to death, and men were sent to look for Daniel and his friends to put them to death.(D)
