¹⁶ The king of the North who comes against him will do whatever he wants,^(A) and no one can oppose him. He will establish himself in the beautiful land^[a](B) with total destruction in his hand.

⁴¹ He will also invade the beautiful land,^(A) and many will fall. But these will escape from his power: Edom, Moab, and the prominent people^[a] of the Ammonites.^(B)

⁴⁵ He will pitch his royal tents between the sea and^[a] the beautiful holy mountain,^(A) but he will meet his end with no one to help him.
