⁶ So the administrators and high officers went to the king and said, “Long live King Darius!

¹⁰ But when the queen mother heard what was happening, she hurried to the banquet hall. She said to Belshazzar, “Long live the king! Don’t be so pale and frightened.

⁴ Then the astrologers answered the king in Aramaic,^[a] “Long live the king! Tell us the dream, and we will tell you what it means.”

⁷ Give to everyone what you owe them: Pay your taxes and government fees to those who collect them, and give respect and honor to those who are in authority.

⁴ Then a herald shouted out, “People of all races and nations and languages, listen to the king’s command! ⁵ When you hear the sound of the horn, flute, zither, lyre, harp, pipes, and other musical instruments,^[a] bow to the ground to worship King Nebuchadnezzar’s gold statue.
