Na nagsiahong mula sa pagpaligo;
(J)May anim na pung reina, at walong pung babae;
At mga dalaga na walang bilang.
Ang aking kalapati, ang aking (K)sakdal ay isa lamang;
Siya ang bugtong ng kaniyang ina;
Siya ang pili ng nanganak sa kaniya.
(L)Nakita siya ng mga anak na babae, at tinawag siyang mapalad;
10 (M)Sino siyang tumitinging parang umaga,
13 Bumalik ka, bumalik ka, (P)Oh Sulamita;

1 The Church assureth herself of the love of Christ.  3 The praises of the Church. 8 She is but one and undefiled.

My well-beloved is gone down into his [a]garden to the beds of spices, to feed in the gardens, and to gather lilies.

I am my well-beloved’s, and my well-beloved is mine, who feedeth among the lilies.

Thou art beautiful, my love, as [b]Tirzah, comely as Jerusalem, terrible as an army with banners.

[c]Turn away thine eyes from me: for they overcome me: (A)thine hair is like a flock of goats, which look down from Gilead.

Thy teeth are like a flock of sheep, which go up from the washing, which every one bring out twins, and none is barren among them.

Thy temples are within thy locks as a piece of a pomegranate.

There are [d]threescore Queens, and fourscore concubines, and of the damsels without number.

But my dove is alone, and my undefiled, she is the only daughter of her mother, and she is dear to her that bare her: the daughters have seen her, and counted her blessed: even the Queens and the concubines, and they have praised her.

[e]Who is she that looketh forth as the morning, fair as the moon, pure as the sun, terrible as an army with banners!

10 I went down to the [f]garden of nuts, to see the fruits of the valley, to see if the vine budded, and if the pomegranates flourished.

11 [g]I knew nothing, my soul set me [h]as the chariots of my noble people.

12 Return, return, O [i]Shulamite, return: return that we may behold thee. What shall you see in the Shulamite, but as the company of an army?

Friends

Where has your beloved(A) gone,
    most beautiful of women?(B)
Which way did your beloved turn,
    that we may look for him with you?

She

My beloved has gone(C) down to his garden,(D)
    to the beds of spices,(E)
to browse in the gardens
    and to gather lilies.
I am my beloved’s and my beloved is mine;(F)
    he browses among the lilies.(G)

He

You are as beautiful as Tirzah,(H) my darling,
    as lovely as Jerusalem,(I)
    as majestic as troops with banners.(J)
Turn your eyes from me;
    they overwhelm me.
Your hair is like a flock of goats
    descending from Gilead.(K)
Your teeth are like a flock of sheep
    coming up from the washing.
Each has its twin,
    not one of them is missing.(L)
Your temples behind your veil(M)
    are like the halves of a pomegranate.(N)
Sixty queens(O) there may be,
    and eighty concubines,(P)
    and virgins beyond number;
but my dove,(Q) my perfect one,(R) is unique,
    the only daughter of her mother,
    the favorite of the one who bore her.(S)
The young women saw her and called her blessed;
    the queens and concubines praised her.

Friends

10 Who is this that appears like the dawn,
    fair as the moon, bright as the sun,
    majestic as the stars in procession?

He

11 I went down to the grove of nut trees
    to look at the new growth in the valley,
to see if the vines had budded
    or the pomegranates were in bloom.(T)
12 Before I realized it,
    my desire set me among the royal chariots of my people.[a]

Friends

13 Come back, come back, O Shulammite;
    come back, come back, that we may gaze on you!

He

Why would you gaze on the Shulammite
    as on the dance(U) of Mahanaim?[b]
