Saul in Jerusalem

²⁶ And ^(A)when he had come to Jerusalem, he attempted to join the disciples. And they were all afraid of him, for they did not believe that he was a disciple. ²⁷ But ^(B)Barnabas took him and ^(C)brought him to the apostles and declared to them ^(D)how on the road he had seen the Lord, who spoke to him, and ^(E)how at Damascus he had ^(F)preached boldly in the name of Jesus. ²⁸ So he went ^(G)in and out among them at Jerusalem, preaching boldly in the name of the Lord.

⁴ And he said to them, ^(A)“Is it lawful on the Sabbath to do good or to do harm, to save life or to kill?” But they were silent. ⁵ And he ^(B)looked around at them with anger, grieved at ^(C)their hardness of heart, and said to the man, “Stretch out your hand.” ^(D)He stretched it out, and his hand was restored. ^6 (E)The Pharisees went out and immediately ^(F)held counsel with ^(G)the Herodians against him, how to destroy him.
