⁵⁸ Then ^(A)they cast him out of the city and ^(B)stoned him. And ^(C)the witnesses laid down their garments ^(D)at the feet of a young man named Saul. ⁵⁹ And as they were stoning Stephen, ^(E)he called out, “Lord Jesus, ^(F)receive my spirit.” ⁶⁰ And ^(G)falling to his knees he cried out with a loud voice, ^(H)“Lord, do not hold this sin against them.” And when he had said this, ^(I)he fell asleep.

²⁰ And when the blood of Stephen ^(A)your witness was being shed, ^(B)I myself was standing by and ^(C)approving and ^(D)watching over the garments of those who killed him.’
