¹⁹But Peter and John replied, “Which is right in God’s eyes: to listen to you, or to him?^(A) You be the judges!

²⁰We cannot keep quiet about what we have seen and heard.”

²⁰As for us, we cannot help speaking^(A) about what we have seen and heard.”^(B)

²⁹Peter and the apostles replied:

We don't obey people. We obey God.

²⁹Peter and the other apostles replied: “We must obey God rather than human beings!^(A)
