The Day of Pentecost

2 When (A)the day of Pentecost [a]had come, they were all together in one place. 2 And suddenly a noise like a violent rushing wind came from heaven, and it filled (B)the whole house where they were sitting. 3 And tongues that looked like fire appeared to them, [b]distributing themselves, and a tongue [c]rested on each one of them. 4 And they were all (C)filled with the Holy Spirit and began to (D)speak with different [d]tongues, as the Spirit was giving them the ability to speak out.

5 Now there were Jews residing in Jerusalem, (E)devout men from every nation under heaven. 6 And when (F)this sound occurred, the crowd came together and they were bewildered, because each one of them was hearing them speak in his own [e]language. 7 (G)They were amazed and astonished, saying, “[f]Why, are not all these who are speaking (H)Galileans? 8 And how is it that we each hear them in our own [g]language [h]to which we were born? 9 Parthians, Medes, and Elamites, and residents of Mesopotamia, Judea, and (I)Cappadocia, (J)Pontus and [i](K)Asia, 10 (L)Phrygia and (M)Pamphylia, Egypt and the parts of Libya around (N)Cyrene, and [j](O)visitors from Rome, both Jews and [k](P)proselytes, 11 Cretans and Arabs—we hear them speaking in our own [l]tongues of the mighty deeds of God.” 12 And (Q)they all continued in amazement and great perplexity, saying to one another, “What does this mean?” 13 But others were jeering and saying, “(R)They are full of [m]sweet wine!”

Peter’s Sermon

14 But Peter, taking his stand with (S)the other eleven, raised his voice and declared to them: “Men of Judea and all you who live in Jerusalem, [n]know this, and pay attention to my words. 15 For these people are not drunk, as you assume, (T)since it is only the [o]third hour of the day; 16 but this is what has been spoken through the prophet Joel:

17 ‘(U)And it shall be in the last days,’ God says,
‘That I will pour out My Spirit on all [p]mankind;
And your sons and your daughters will prophesy,
And your young men will see visions,
And your old men will [q]have dreams;
18 And even on My male and female [r]servants
I will pour out My Spirit in those days,
And they will prophesy.
19 And I will [s]display wonders in the sky above
And signs on the earth below,
Blood, fire, and [t]vapor of smoke.
20 The sun will be turned into darkness
And the moon into blood,
Before the great and glorious day of the Lord comes.
21 And it shall be that (V)everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.’

22 “Men of Israel, listen to these words: (W)Jesus the Nazarene, (X)a Man [u]attested to you by God with [v]miracles and (Y)wonders and [w]signs which God performed through Him in your midst, just as you yourselves know— 23 this Man, delivered over by the (Z)predetermined plan and foreknowledge of God, (AA)you nailed to a cross by the hands of [x]godless men and put Him to death. 24 [y]But (AB)God raised Him from the dead, putting an end to the [z]agony of death, since it (AC)was impossible for Him to be held [aa]in its power. 25 For David says of Him,

‘(AD)I saw the Lord continually before me,
Because He is at my right hand, so that I will not be shaken.
26 Therefore my heart was glad and my tongue was overjoyed;
Moreover my flesh also will live in hope;
27 For You will not abandon my soul to (AE)Hades,
(AF)Nor will You [ab]allow Your [ac]Holy One to [ad]undergo decay.
28 You have made known to me the ways of life;
You will make me full of gladness with Your presence.’

29 “[ae]Brothers, I may confidently say to you regarding the (AG)patriarch David that he both (AH)died and (AI)was buried, and (AJ)his tomb is [af]with us to this day. 30 So because he was (AK)a prophet and knew that (AL)God had sworn to him with an oath to seat one [ag]of his descendants on his throne, 31 he looked ahead and spoke of the resurrection of the [ah]Christ, that (AM)He was neither abandoned to Hades, nor did His flesh [ai]suffer decay. 32 It is this Jesus whom (AN)God raised up, [aj]a fact to which we are all (AO)witnesses. 33 Therefore, [ak]since He has been exalted [al](AP)at the right hand of God, and (AQ)has received (AR)the promise of the Holy Spirit from the Father, He has (AS)poured out this which you both see and hear. 34 For it was not David who ascended into [am]heaven, but he himself says:

‘(AT)The Lord said to my Lord,
“Sit at My right hand,
35 Until I make Your enemies a footstool for Your feet.”’

36 Therefore let all the (AU)house of Israel know for certain that God has made Him both (AV)Lord and [an]Christ—this Jesus (AW)whom you crucified.”

37 Now when they heard this, they were [ao]pierced to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, “[ap]Brothers, (AX)what are we to do?” 38 Peter said to them, “(AY)Repent, and each of you be (AZ)baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. 39 For (BA)the promise is for you and your children and for all who are (BB)far away, as many as the Lord our God will call to Himself.” 40 And with many other words he solemnly (BC)testified and kept on urging them, saying, “[aq]Be saved from this (BD)perverse generation!” 41 So then, those who had received his word were baptized; and that day there were added about three thousand [ar](BE)souls. 42 They were (BF)continually devoting themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to (BG)the breaking of bread and (BH)to [as]prayer.

43 [at]Everyone kept feeling a sense of awe; and many (BI)wonders and [au]signs were taking place through the apostles. 44 And all the believers [av]were together and (BJ)had all things in common; 45 and they (BK)would sell their property and possessions and share them with all, to the extent that anyone had need. 46 (BL)Day by day continuing with one mind in the temple, and (BM)breaking bread [aw]from house to house, they were taking their [ax]meals together with gladness and [ay]sincerity of heart, 47 praising God and (BN)having favor with all the people. And the Lord (BO)was adding to [az]their number day by day (BP)those who were being saved.

The Holy Spirit Comes at Pentecost

2 When the day of Pentecost(A) came, they were all together(B) in one place. 2 Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting.(C) 3 They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. 4 All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit(D) and began to speak in other tongues[a](E) as the Spirit enabled them.

5 Now there were staying in Jerusalem God-fearing(F) Jews from every nation under heaven. 6 When they heard this sound, a crowd came together in bewilderment, because each one heard their own language being spoken. 7 Utterly amazed,(G) they asked: “Aren’t all these who are speaking Galileans?(H) 8 Then how is it that each of us hears them in our native language? 9 Parthians, Medes and Elamites; residents of Mesopotamia, Judea and Cappadocia,(I) Pontus(J) and Asia,[b](K) 10 Phrygia(L) and Pamphylia,(M) Egypt and the parts of Libya near Cyrene;(N) visitors from Rome 11 (both Jews and converts to Judaism); Cretans and Arabs—we hear them declaring the wonders of God in our own tongues!” 12 Amazed and perplexed, they asked one another, “What does this mean?”

13 Some, however, made fun of them and said, “They have had too much wine.”(O)

Peter Addresses the Crowd

14 Then Peter stood up with the Eleven, raised his voice and addressed the crowd: “Fellow Jews and all of you who live in Jerusalem, let me explain this to you; listen carefully to what I say. 15 These people are not drunk, as you suppose. It’s only nine in the morning!(P) 16 No, this is what was spoken by the prophet Joel:

17 “‘In the last days, God says,
    I will pour out my Spirit on all people.(Q)
Your sons and daughters will prophesy,(R)
    your young men will see visions,
    your old men will dream dreams.
18 Even on my servants, both men and women,
    I will pour out my Spirit in those days,
    and they will prophesy.(S)
19 I will show wonders in the heavens above
    and signs on the earth below,(T)
    blood and fire and billows of smoke.
20 The sun will be turned to darkness
    and the moon to blood(U)
    before the coming of the great and glorious day of the Lord.
21 And everyone who calls
    on the name of the Lord(V) will be saved.’[c](W)

22 “Fellow Israelites, listen to this: Jesus of Nazareth(X) was a man accredited by God to you by miracles, wonders and signs,(Y) which God did among you through him,(Z) as you yourselves know. 23 This man was handed over to you by God’s deliberate plan and foreknowledge;(AA) and you, with the help of wicked men,[d] put him to death by nailing him to the cross.(AB) 24 But God raised him from the dead,(AC) freeing him from the agony of death, because it was impossible for death to keep its hold on him.(AD) 25 David said about him:

“‘I saw the Lord always before me.
    Because he is at my right hand,
    I will not be shaken.
26 Therefore my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices;
    my body also will rest in hope,
27 because you will not abandon me to the realm of the dead,
    you will not let your holy one see decay.(AE)
28 You have made known to me the paths of life;
    you will fill me with joy in your presence.’[e](AF)

29 “Fellow Israelites,(AG) I can tell you confidently that the patriarch(AH) David died and was buried,(AI) and his tomb is here(AJ) to this day. 30 But he was a prophet and knew that God had promised him on oath that he would place one of his descendants on his throne.(AK) 31 Seeing what was to come, he spoke of the resurrection of the Messiah, that he was not abandoned to the realm of the dead, nor did his body see decay.(AL) 32 God has raised this Jesus to life,(AM) and we are all witnesses(AN) of it. 33 Exalted(AO) to the right hand of God,(AP) he has received from the Father(AQ) the promised Holy Spirit(AR) and has poured out(AS) what you now see and hear. 34 For David did not ascend to heaven, and yet he said,

“‘The Lord said to my Lord:
    “Sit at my right hand
35 until I make your enemies
    a footstool for your feet.”’[f](AT)

36 “Therefore let all Israel be assured of this: God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord(AU) and Messiah.”(AV)

37 When the people heard this, they were cut to the heart and said to Peter and the other apostles, “Brothers, what shall we do?”(AW)

38 Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized,(AX) every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins.(AY) And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.(AZ) 39 The promise is for you and your children(BA) and for all who are far off(BB)—for all whom the Lord our God will call.”

40 With many other words he warned them; and he pleaded with them, “Save yourselves from this corrupt generation.”(BC) 41 Those who accepted his message were baptized, and about three thousand were added to their number(BD) that day.

The Fellowship of the Believers

42 They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching(BE) and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread(BF) and to prayer.(BG) 43 Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs performed by the apostles.(BH) 44 All the believers were together and had everything in common.(BI) 45 They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need.(BJ) 46 Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts.(BK) They broke bread(BL) in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, 47 praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people.(BM) And the Lord added to their number(BN) daily those who were being saved.

2 Cuando llegó[a] el día de Pentecostés(A), estaban todos juntos[b] en un mismo lugar. 2 De repente vino del cielo un ruido como el de una ráfaga de viento impetuoso que[c] llenó toda la casa donde estaban sentados(B), 3 y se les aparecieron lenguas como de fuego que, repartiéndose[d], se posaron[e] sobre cada uno de ellos. 4 Todos fueron llenos del Espíritu Santo(C) y comenzaron a hablar en otras lenguas(D), según el Espíritu les daba habilidad para expresarse.

Primer sermón de Pedro

14 Entonces Pedro, poniéndose en pie con los once(R), alzó la voz y les declaró: Varones judíos y todos los que vivís en Jerusalén, sea esto de vuestro conocimiento y prestad atención a mis palabras, 15 porque estos no están borrachos como vosotros suponéis, pues apenas es la hora tercera[l] del día(S); 16 sino que esto es lo que fue dicho por medio del profeta Joel:

17 (T)Y sucederá en los Últimos días —dice Dios—
que derramaré de mi Espíritu sobre toda carne;
y vuestros hijos y vuestras hijas profetizarán,
vuestros jóvenes verán visiones,
y vuestros ancianos soñarán sueños;
18 y aun sobre mis siervos y sobre mis siervas
derramaré de mi Espíritu en esos días,
y profetizarán.
19 Y mostraré prodigios arriba en el cielo
y señales abajo en la tierra:
sangre, fuego y columna[m] de humo.
20 El sol se convertirá en tinieblas
y la luna en sangre,
antes que venga el día grande y glorioso[n] del Señor.
21 Y sucederá[o] que todo aquel que invoque el nombre del Señor será salvo(U).

22 Varones israelitas, escuchad estas palabras: Jesús el Nazareno(V), varón confirmado[p] por Dios entre vosotros con milagros[q], prodigios y señales[r](W) que Dios hizo en medio vuestro a través de Él(X), tal como vosotros mismos sabéis, 23 a este, entregado por el plan predeterminado y el previo conocimiento[s] de Dios(Y), clavasteis en una cruz por manos de impíos[t] y le matasteis(Z), 24 a quien Dios resucitó(AA), poniendo fin a la agonía[u] de la muerte, puesto que no era posible que Él quedara bajo el dominio de ella(AB). 25 Porque David dice de Él:

(AC)Veía siempre al Señor en mi presencia;
pues está a mi diestra para que yo no sea conmovido.
26 Por lo cual mi corazón se alegró y mi lengua se regocijó;
y aun hasta mi carne descansará en esperanza;
27 pues tú no abandonarás mi alma en el Hades[v](AD),
ni permitirás[w] que tu Santo vea corrupción(AE).
28 Me has hecho conocer los caminos de la vida;
me llenarás de gozo con tu presencia.

29 Hermanos[x], del patriarca(AF) David os puedo decir confiadamente que murió y fue sepultado(AG), y su sepulcro(AH) está entre nosotros hasta el día de hoy. 30 Pero siendo profeta(AI), y sabiendo que Dios le había jurado sentar a uno de sus descendientes[y] en su trono(AJ), 31 miró hacia el futuro y habló de la resurrección de Cristo[z], que no fue abandonado en el Hades[aa], ni su carne sufrió[ab] corrupción(AK). 32 A este Jesús resucitó Dios(AL), de lo cual todos nosotros somos testigos(AM). 33 Así que, exaltado a[ac] la diestra de Dios(AN), y habiendo recibido del Padre la promesa(AO) del Espíritu Santo(AP), ha derramado(AQ) esto que vosotros veis y oís. 34 Porque David no ascendió a los cielos, pero él mismo dice:

(AR)Dijo el Señor a mi Señor:
«Siéntate a mi diestra,
35 hasta que ponga a tus enemigos por estrado de tus pies».

36 Sepa, pues, con certeza toda la casa de Israel(AS), que a este Jesús a quien vosotros crucificasteis(AT), Dios le ha hecho Señor y Cristo[ad](AU).

Efectos del sermón de Pedro

37 Al oír esto, compungidos de corazón[ae], dijeron a Pedro y a los demás apóstoles: Hermanos[af], ¿qué haremos(AV)? 38 Y Pedro les dijo: Arrepentíos(AW) y sed bautizados(AX) cada uno de vosotros en el nombre de Jesucristo para perdón de vuestros pecados, y recibiréis el don del Espíritu Santo. 39 Porque la promesa es para vosotros y para vuestros hijos(AY) y para todos los que están lejos(AZ), para tantos como el Señor nuestro Dios llame. 40 Y con muchas otras palabras testificaba(BA) solemnemente y les exhortaba diciendo: Sed salvos[ag] de esta perversa generación(BB). 41 Entonces los que habían recibido su palabra fueron bautizados; y se añadieron aquel día como tres mil almas[ah](BC). 42 Y se dedicaban continuamente(BD) a las enseñanzas de los apóstoles, a la comunión, al partimiento del pan(BE) y a la oración[ai](BF).

Comunión de los creyentes

43 Sobrevino temor a toda persona; y muchos prodigios y señales[aj](BG) eran hechas por los apóstoles[ak]. 44 Todos los que habían creído estaban juntos y tenían todas las cosas en común(BH); 45 vendían todas sus propiedades y sus bienes y los compartían con todos(BI), según la necesidad de cada uno. 46 Día tras día continuaban unánimes en el templo y partiendo el pan(BJ) en los hogares(BK), comían juntos[al] con alegría y sencillez de corazón, 47 alabando a Dios y hallando favor con todo el pueblo(BL). 5 Àwọn Júù olùfọkànsìn láti orílẹ̀-èdè gbogbo lábẹ́ ọ̀run sì ń gbé Jerusalẹmu. 6 Nígbà tí wọn sì gbọ́ ìró yìí, ọ̀pọ̀lọpọ̀ ènìyàn péjọ pẹ̀lú ìyàlẹ́nu, nítorí tí olúkúlùkù gbọ́ tí wọ́n ń sọ̀rọ̀ ní èdè rẹ̀. 7 Ẹnu sì yà wọ́n, wọn ń wí fún ara wọn pé, “Ǹjẹ́ ara Galili kọ́ ni gbogbo àwọn tí ń sọ̀rọ̀ wọ̀nyí jẹ́? 8 Èéha sì tí ṣe ti olúkúlùkù wa fi ń gbọ́ bí wọ́n tí ń fi èdè sọ̀rọ̀? 9 Àwọn ará Partia, àti Media, àti Elamu; àti àwọn tí ń gbé Mesopotamia, Judea, àti Kappadokia, Pọntu àti Asia. 10 Frigia, àti pamfilia, Ejibiti, àti agbègbè Libia níhà Kirene; àti àwọn àtìpó Romu, àwọn Júù àti àwọn aláwọ̀ṣe Júù 11 (àti àwọn Júù àti àwọn tí a ti ipa ẹ̀sìn sọ di Júù); àwọn ará Krete àti Arabia; àwa gbọ́ tí wọ́n sọ̀rọ̀ iṣẹ́ ìyanu ńlá Ọlọ́run ni èdè wa.” 12 Ẹnu sì ya gbogbo wọn, wọ́n sì wárìrì. Wọn wí fún ara wọn pé, “Kí ni èyí túmọ̀ sí?”

13 Ṣùgbọ́n àwọn ẹlòmíràn ń ṣẹ̀fẹ̀, wọn sí wí pé, “Àwọn ọkùnrin wọ̀nyí kún fún wáìnì tuntun”.

Peteru wàásù sí ọ̀pọ̀ ènìyàn

14 Nígbà náà ni Peteru dìde dúró pẹ̀lú àwọn mọ́kànlá yòókù, ó gbé ohùn rẹ̀ sókè, ó sì wí fún wọn pé, “Ẹ̀yin Júù ènìyàn mi àti gbogbo ẹ̀yin tí ń gbé Jerusalẹmu, ẹ jẹ́ kí èyí kí ó yé yin; kí ẹ sì fetísí ọ̀rọ̀ mi. 15 Àwọn wọ̀nyí kò mu ọtí yó, bí ẹ̀yin tí rò ó; wákàtí kẹta ọjọ́ sá à ni èyí. 16 Bẹ́ẹ̀ kọ́, èyí ni ọ̀rọ̀ ti a ti sọ láti ẹnu wòlíì Joeli wá pé:

17 (A)“Ọlọ́run wí pé, ‘Ní ìkẹyìn ọjọ́,
    Èmi yóò tú nínú Ẹ̀mí mí jáde sára ènìyàn gbogbo,
àwọn ọmọ yín ọkùnrin àti àwọn ọmọ yín obìnrin yóò máa sọtẹ́lẹ̀
    àwọn ọ̀dọ́mọkùnrin yín yóò sì máa ríran,
    àwọn arúgbó yín yóò sì máa lá àlá;
18 Àti sára àwọn ọmọ ọ̀dọ̀ mi ọkùnrin àti sára àwọn ọmọ ọ̀dọ̀ mi obìnrin,
    ni Èmi yóò tú nínú Ẹ̀mí mi jáde ni ọjọ́ wọ̀n-ọn-nì:
    wọn yóò sì máa sọtẹ́lẹ̀;
19 Èmi yóò sì fi iṣẹ́ ìyanu hàn lójú ọ̀run,
    àti àwọn ààmì nísàlẹ̀ ilẹ̀;
    ẹ̀jẹ̀ àti iná àti rírú èéfín;
20 A ó sọ oòrùn di òkùnkùn,
    àti òṣùpá di ẹ̀jẹ̀,
    kí ọjọ́ ńlá àti ọjọ́ ológo Olúwa tó dé.
21 Yóò sì ṣe, ẹnikẹ́ni tí ó bá ké pe
    orúkọ Olúwa ni a ó gbàlà.’

22 “Ẹ̀yin ènìyàn Israẹli, ẹ gbọ́ ọ̀rọ̀ wọ̀nyí; Jesu tí Nasareti, ọkùnrin tí a mọ̀ láti ọ̀dọ̀ Ọlọ́run wá nípa iṣẹ́ agbára àti tí ìyanu, àti ààmì ti Ọlọ́run ti ọwọ́ rẹ̀ ṣe láàrín yín, bí ẹ̀yin tìkára yín ti mọ̀ pẹ̀lú. 23 Ẹni tí a ti fi lé yín lọ́wọ́ nípa ìpinnu ìmọ̀ àti ìmọ̀tẹ́lẹ̀ Ọlọ́run; àti ẹ̀yin pẹ̀lú, pẹ̀lú ìrànlọ́wọ́ àwọn ènìyàn búburú kàn mọ́ àgbélébùú, tí a sì pa á. 24 Ṣùgbọ́n Ọlọ́run jí dìde kúrò nínú òkú, gbà á kúrò nínú ìrora ikú: nítorí tí kò ṣe é ṣe fún ikú láti dìímú. 25 (B)Dafidi tí wí nípa tirẹ̀ pé:

“ ‘Mo rí Olúwa nígbà gbogbo níwájú mí,
    nítorí tí ó ń bẹ lọ́wọ́ ọ̀tún mi,
    a kì ó ṣí mi ní ipò.
26 Nítorí náà inú mi dùn, ahọ́n mi sì yọ̀:
    pẹ̀lúpẹ̀lú ara mi yóò sì sinmi ní ìrètí.
27 Nítorí tí ìwọ kí yóò fi ọkàn mi sílẹ̀ ni isà òkú,
    bẹ́ẹ̀ ni ìwọ kí yóò jẹ́ kí Ẹni Mímọ́ rẹ rí ìdíbàjẹ́.
28 Ìwọ mú mi mọ ọ̀nà ìyè,
    ìwọ yóò mú mi kún fún ayọ̀ ni iwájú rẹ.’

29 “Ará, èmí lè sọ fún yín pẹ̀lú ìgboyà pé Dafidi baba ńlá kú, a sì sin ín, ibojì rẹ̀ sì ń bẹ lọ́dọ̀ wa títí di òní yìí. 30 (C)Ṣùgbọ́n ó jẹ́ wòlíì, àti bí ó mọ́ pé, Ọlọ́run ti ṣe ìlérí fún òun nínú ìbúra pé nínú irú-ọmọ inú rẹ̀, òun yóò mú ọ̀kan jókòó lórí ìtẹ́ rẹ̀. 31 (D)Ní rí rí èyí tẹ́lẹ̀, ó sọ ti àjíǹde Kristi, pé a kò fi ọkàn rẹ̀ sílẹ̀ ni isà òkú, bẹ́ẹ̀ ni ara rẹ̀ kò rí ìdíbàjẹ́. 32 Jesu náà yìí ni Ọlọ́run ti jí dìde sí ìyè, àwa pẹ̀lú sì jẹ́rìí sí èyí. 33 A ti gbéga sí ọwọ́ ọ̀tún Ọlọ́run, ó ti gba ìlérí Ẹ̀mí Mímọ́ láti ọ̀dọ̀ Baba, ó tu èyí tí ẹ̀yin rí àti gbọ́ nísinsin yìí síta. 34 (E)Nítorí Dafidi kò gòkè lọ sí ọ̀run ṣùgbọ́n òun tìkára rẹ̀ wí pé,

“ ‘Olúwa sọ fún Olúwa mi pé:
    “Jókòó ní ọwọ́ ọ̀tún mi
35 títí èmi yóò fi sọ àwọn ọ̀tá rẹ
    dí àpótí ìtìsẹ̀ fún ẹsẹ̀ rẹ.” ’

36 “Ǹjẹ́ kí gbogbo ilé Israẹli mọ̀ dájúdájú pé: Ọlọ́run ti fi Jesu náà, ti ẹ̀yin kàn mọ́ àgbélébùú, ṣe Olúwa àti Kristi.”

37 Nígbà tí wọ́n sì gbọ́, ọkàn wọn gbọgbẹ́, wọn sì wí fún Peteru àti àwọn aposteli yòókù pé, “Ará, kín ni àwa yóò ṣe?”

38 Peteru sì wí fún wọn pé, “Ẹ ronúpìwàdà, kí a sì bamitiisi olúkúlùkù yín ní orúkọ Jesu Kristi fún ìdáríjì ẹ̀ṣẹ̀ yín. Ẹ̀yin yóò sì gba ẹ̀bùn Ẹ̀mí Mímọ́ 39 (F)Nítorí fún yín ni ìlérí náà, àti fún àwọn ọmọ yín, àti fún gbogbo àwọn tí ó jìnnà réré, àní gbogbo àwọn tí Olúwa Ọlọ́run wa yóò pè.”

40 Pẹ̀lú ọ̀rọ̀ púpọ̀ mìíràn ni ó fi ń kìlọ̀ tí ó sì ń fi ń rọ̀ wọ́n wí pé, “Ẹ gba ara yín là lọ́wọ́ ìran àrékérekè yìí.” 41 Nítorí náà àwọn tí ó fi ayọ̀ gba ọ̀rọ̀ rẹ̀ a bamitiisi wọn, lọ́jọ́ náà a sì kà ìwọ̀n ẹgbẹ̀rún mẹ́ta ọkàn kún wọn.

Ìsọ̀kan àwọn ará tí o gbàgbọ́

42 Wọ́n sì dúró ṣinṣin nínú ẹ̀kọ́ àwọn aposteli, àti ní ìdàpọ̀, ní bíbu àkàrà àti nínú àdúrà. 43 Ẹ̀rù sí ba gbogbo ọkàn; iṣẹ́ ìyanu àti iṣẹ́ ààmì púpọ̀ ni a ti ọwọ́ àwọn aposteli ṣe. 44 (G)Gbogbo àwọn tí ó sì gbàgbọ́ wà ni ibìkan, wọn ní ohun gbogbo sọ́kàn; 45 Wọn si ń ta ohun ìní àti ẹrù wọn, wọn sì ń pín wọn fún olúkúlùkù, gẹ́gẹ́ bí ẹnikẹ́ni tí í ṣe aláìní sí. 46 Wọ́n fi ọkàn kan dúró lójoojúmọ́ nínú tẹmpili. Wọ́n ń bu àkàrà ní ilé wọn, wọn ń fi inú dídùn àti ọkàn òtítọ́ jẹ oúnjẹ wọn. 47 Wọ́n yín Ọlọ́run, wọn sì rí ojúrere lọ́dọ̀ ènìyàn gbogbo, Olúwa sí ń yàn kún wọn lójoojúmọ́, àwọn tí à ń gbàlà.
