Acts 2:27-33
New American Standard Bible 1995
27 Because You will not abandon my soul to (A)Hades,
(B)Nor [a]allow Your [b]Holy One to [c]undergo decay.
28 ‘You have made known to me the ways of life;
You will make me full of gladness with Your presence.’
29 “[d]Brethren, I may confidently say to you regarding the (C)patriarch David that he both (D)died and (E)was buried, and (F)his tomb is [e]with us to this day. 30 And so, because he was (G)a prophet and knew that (H)God had sworn to him with an oath to seat one [f]of his descendants on his throne, 31 he looked ahead and spoke of the resurrection of [g]the Christ, that (I)He was neither abandoned to Hades, nor did His flesh [h]suffer decay. 32 This Jesus (J)God raised up again, to which we are all (K)witnesses. 33 Therefore having been exalted [i](L)to the right hand of God, and (M)having received from the Father (N)the promise of the Holy Spirit, He has (O)poured forth this which you both see and hear.
