25 For David saith concerning him,

[a]I beheld the Lord always before my face;
For he is on my right hand, that I should not be moved:
26 Therefore my heart was glad, and my tongue rejoiced;
Moreover my flesh also shall [b]dwell in hope:
27 Because thou wilt not leave my soul unto Hades,
Neither wilt thou give thy Holy One to see corruption.
28 Thou madest known unto me the ways of life;
Thou shalt make me full of gladness [c]with thy countenance.

29 Brethren, I may say unto you freely of the patriarch David, that he both died and was buried, and his tomb is with us unto this day. 30 Being therefore a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins [d]he would set one upon his throne; 31 he foreseeing this spake of the resurrection of the Christ, that neither was he left unto Hades, nor did his flesh see corruption. 32 This Jesus did God raise up, [e]whereof we all are witnesses. 33 Being therefore [f]by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, he hath poured forth this, which ye see and hear. 34 For David ascended not into the heavens: but he saith himself,

[g]The Lord said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand,

25 For David says of Him,

(A)I saw the Lord always in my presence;
For He is at my right hand, so that I will not be shaken.
26 Therefore my heart was glad and my tongue exulted;
Moreover my flesh also will live in hope;
27 Because You will not abandon my soul to (B)Hades,
(C)Nor [a]allow Your [b]Holy One to [c]undergo decay.
28 You have made known to me the ways of life;
You will make me full of gladness with Your presence.’

29 [d]Brethren, I may confidently say to you regarding the (D)patriarch David that he both (E)died and (F)was buried, and (G)his tomb is [e]with us to this day. 30 And so, because he was (H)a prophet and knew that (I)God had sworn to him with an oath to seat one [f]of his descendants on his throne, 31 he looked ahead and spoke of the resurrection of [g]the Christ, that (J)He was neither abandoned to Hades, nor did His flesh [h]suffer decay. 32 This Jesus (K)God raised up again, to which we are all (L)witnesses. 33 Therefore having been exalted [i](M)to the right hand of God, and (N)having received from the Father (O)the promise of the Holy Spirit, He has (P)poured forth this which you both see and hear. 34 For it was not David who ascended into [j]heaven, but he himself says:

(Q)The Lord said to my Lord,
Sit at My right hand,

29 “Fellow Israelites,(C) I can tell you confidently that the patriarch(D) David died and was buried,(E) and his tomb is here(F) to this day. 30 But he was a prophet and knew that God had promised him on oath that he would place one of his descendants on his throne.(G) 31 Seeing what was to come, he spoke of the resurrection of the Messiah, that he was not abandoned to the realm of the dead, nor did his body see decay.(H) 32 God has raised this Jesus to life,(I) and we are all witnesses(J) of it. 33 Exalted(K) to the right hand of God,(L) he has received from the Father(M) the promised Holy Spirit(N) and has poured out(O) what you now see and hear. 34 For David did not ascend to heaven, and yet he said,
