⁹But Saul, who was also called Paul, ^(A)filled with the Holy Spirit, looked intently at him ¹⁰and said, “You ^(B)son of the devil, you enemy of all righteousness, full of all deceit and ^(C)villainy, will you not stop ^(D)making crooked ^(E)the straight paths of the Lord? ¹¹And now, behold, ^(F)the hand of the Lord is upon you, and you will be blind and unable to see the sun for a time.” Immediately mist and darkness fell upon him, and he went about seeking ^(G)people to lead him by the hand. ¹²Then the proconsul believed, when he saw what had occurred, for he was astonished at ^(H)the teaching of the Lord.

¹³Now Paul and his companions set sail from Paphos and came to Perga in Pamphylia. And ^(I)John left them and returned ^(J)to Jerusalem, ¹⁴but they went on from Perga and came to Antioch in Pisidia. And ^(K)on the Sabbath day ^(L)they went into the synagogue and sat down. ¹⁵After ^(M)the reading from ^(N)the Law and the Prophets, ^(O)the rulers of the synagogue sent a message to them, saying, “Brothers, if you have any ^(P)word of encouragement for the people, say it.” ¹⁶So Paul stood up, and ^(Q)motioning with his hand said:
