27 And he has slandered your servant to my lord the king. My lord the king is like an angel(A) of God; so do whatever you wish. 28 All my grandfather’s descendants deserved nothing but death(B) from my lord the king, but you gave your servant a place among those who eat at your table.(C) So what right do I have to make any more appeals to the king?”

29 The king said to him, “Why say more? I order you and Ziba to divide the land.”

Do whatever seems appropriate to you. 28 After all, there was no one in the entire house of my grandfather[c] who did not deserve death from my lord the king. But instead you allowed me to eat at your own table![d] What further claim do I have to ask[e] the king for anything?”

29 Then the king replied to him, “Why should you continue speaking like this? You and Ziba will inherit the field together.”
