23 Humagulgol ang mga tao sa Jerusalem habang dumadaan ang mga tauhan ni David. Tumawid si David sa Lambak ng Kidron kasama ang kanyang mga tauhan patungo sa disyerto.

24 Nandoon ang mga paring sina Zadok at Abiatar, at ang mga Levita na buhat ang Kahon ng Kasunduan ng Dios. Inilagay nila ang Kahon ng Kasunduan sa tabi ng daan at naghandog si Abiatar hanggang sa makaalis ang lahat ng tauhan ni David sa lungsod. 25 Pagkatapos, sinabi ni David kay Zadok, “Ibalik ang Kahon ng Dios sa Jerusalem. Kung nalulugod sa akin ang Panginoon, pababalikin niya ako sa Jerusalem at makikita ko itong muli at ang lugar na kinalalagyan nito.

23 The whole countryside wept aloud(A) as all the people passed by. The king also crossed the Kidron Valley,(B) and all the people moved on toward the wilderness.

24 Zadok(C) was there, too, and all the Levites who were with him were carrying the ark(D) of the covenant of God. They set down the ark of God, and Abiathar(E) offered sacrifices until all the people had finished leaving the city.

25 Then the king said to Zadok, “Take the ark of God back into the city. If I find favor in the Lord’s eyes, he will bring me back and let me see it and his dwelling place(F) again.

24 And lo Zadok also, and all the Levites were with him, bearing the ark of the covenant of God: and they set down the ark of God; and Abiathar went up, until all the people had done passing out of the city.

25 And the king said unto Zadok, Carry back the ark of God into the city: if I shall find favour in the eyes of the Lord, he will bring me again, and shew me both it, and his habitation:

23 All the land was weeping loudly[a] as all these people were leaving.[b] As the king was crossing over the Kidron Valley, all the people were leaving[c] on the road that leads to the desert. 24 Zadok and all the Levites who were with him were carrying the ark of the covenant of God. When they positioned the ark of God, Abiathar offered sacrifices until all the people had finished leaving[d] the city.

25 Then the king said to Zadok, “Take the ark of God back to the city. If I find favor in the Lord’s sight he will bring me back and enable me to see both it and his dwelling place again.
