2 Mose ensam ska komma nära Herren och ingen av det övriga folket får komma upp med honom.”
3 Mose kom och förkunnade för folket vad Herren hade talat och gav dem hans stadgar och hela folket svarade med en mun: ”Vi ska göra allt vad Herren har sagt.”
4 Mose skrev ner alla Herrens ord och tidigt följande morgon byggde han ett altare vid bergets fot. Han reste tolv stenstoder för de tolv stammarna i Israel.

2 but Moses alone is to approach(A) the Lord; the others must not come near. And the people may not come up with him.”
3 When Moses went and told the people all the Lord’s words and laws,(B) they responded with one voice, “Everything the Lord has said we will do.”(C) 4 Moses then wrote(D) down everything the Lord had said.
He got up early the next morning and built an altar(E) at the foot of the mountain and set up twelve stone pillars(F) representing the twelve tribes of Israel.
