2 Kings 1:8-10
The Message
8 “Shaggy,” they said, “and wearing a leather belt.”
He said, “That has to be Elijah the Tishbite!”
9 The king sent a captain with fifty men to Elijah. Meanwhile Elijah was sitting, big as life, on top of a hill. The captain said, “O Holy Man! King’s orders: Come down!”
10 Elijah answered the captain of the fifty, “If it’s true that I’m a ‘holy man,’ lightning strike you and your fifty men!” Out of the blue lightning struck and incinerated the captain and his fifty.

2 Kings 1:8-10
New International Version
8 They replied, “He had a garment of hair[a](A) and had a leather belt around his waist.”
The king said, “That was Elijah the Tishbite.”
9 Then he sent(B) to Elijah a captain(C) with his company of fifty men. The captain went up to Elijah, who was sitting on the top of a hill, and said to him, “Man of God, the king says, ‘Come down!’”
10 Elijah answered the captain, “If I am a man of God, may fire come down from heaven and consume you and your fifty men!” Then fire(D) fell from heaven and consumed the captain and his men.
