³ But I am sending the brothers so that our boasting about you in this matter would not prove empty, and so that you would be ready just as I said.

¹⁶ by holding firm to the word^(A) of life. Then I can boast^(B) in the day of Christ^(C) that I didn’t run or labor for nothing.

4 So then, my dearly loved and longed for brothers and sisters, my joy and crown,^(A) in this manner stand firm^(B) in the Lord, dear friends.

¹⁹ For who is our hope or joy^(A) or crown^(B) of boasting^(C) in the presence of our Lord^(D) Jesus at his coming?^(E) Is it not you?^{(F) 20} Indeed you are our glory^(G) and joy!
