1 Thessalonians 4:2-9
English Standard Version
2 For (A)you know what instructions we gave you through the Lord Jesus. 3 For this is the will of God, (B)your sanctification:[a] (C)that you abstain from sexual immorality; 4 that each one of you know how to control his own (D)body[b] in holiness and (E)honor, 5 not in (F)the passion of lust (G)like the Gentiles (H)who do not know God; 6 that no one transgress and (I)wrong his brother in this matter, because the Lord is (J)an avenger in all these things, as we told you beforehand and solemnly warned you. 7 For (K)God has not called us for (L)impurity, but in holiness. 8 Therefore (M)whoever disregards this, disregards not man but God, (N)who gives his Holy Spirit to you.
9 Now concerning (O)brotherly love (P)you have no need for anyone to write to you, for you yourselves have been (Q)taught by God (R)to love one another,

1 Thessalonians 4:2-9
King James Version
2 For ye know what commandments we gave you by the Lord Jesus.
3 For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication:
4 That every one of you should know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honour;
5 Not in the lust of concupiscence, even as the Gentiles which know not God:
6 That no man go beyond and defraud his brother in any matter: because that the Lord is the avenger of all such, as we also have forewarned you and testified.
7 For God hath not called us unto uncleanness, but unto holiness.
8 He therefore that despiseth, despiseth not man, but God, who hath also given unto us his holy Spirit.
9 But as touching brotherly love ye need not that I write unto you: for ye yourselves are taught of God to love one another.

2 For you know what instructions we gave you [a]by the authority of the Lord Jesus. 3 For this is the will of God, your sanctification; that is, that you (A)abstain from sexual immorality; 4 that (B)each of you know how to [b]possess his own [c](C)vessel in sanctification and (D)honor, 5 not in [d](E)lustful passion, like the Gentiles who (F)do not know God; 6 and that no one violate the rights and (G)take advantage of his brother or sister (H)in the matter, because (I)the Lord is the avenger in all these things, just as we also (J)told you previously and solemnly warned you. 7 For (K)God has not called us for [e](L)impurity, but in sanctification. 8 Therefore, the one who rejects this is not rejecting man, but the God who (M)gives His Holy Spirit to you.
9 Now as to the (N)love of the brothers and sisters, you (O)have no need for anyone to write to you, for you yourselves are (P)taught by God to love one another;
