6 But the Yad Hashem was heavy upon the Ashdodim, and He brought desolation, and struck them with techorim (tumors), even Ashdod and the vicinity thereof.
7 And when the anshei Ashdod saw that it was so, they said, The Aron Elohei Yisroel shall not abide with us; for His Yad is hard upon us, and upon Dagon eloheinu.

6 But the (A)hand of the Lord was heavy on the people of Ashdod, and He (B)ravaged them and struck them with (C)tumors,[a] both Ashdod and its (D)territory. 7 And when the men of Ashdod saw how it was, they said, “The ark of the (E)God of Israel must not remain with us, for His hand is harsh toward us and Dagon our god.”
