Then (A)the Spirit of the Lord will come upon you, and (B)you will prophesy with them and be turned into another man. And let it be, when these (C)signs come to you, that you do as the occasion demands; for (D)God is with you. You shall go down before me (E)to Gilgal; and surely I will come down to you to offer burnt offerings and make sacrifices of peace offerings. (F)Seven days you shall wait, till I come to you and show you what you should do.”

So it was, when he had turned his back to go from Samuel, that God [a]gave him another heart; and all those signs came to pass that day. 10 (G)When they came there to the hill, there was (H)a group of prophets to meet him; then the Spirit of God came upon him, and he prophesied among them. 11 And it happened, when all who knew him formerly saw that he indeed prophesied among the prophets, that the people said to one another, “What is this that has come upon the son of Kish? 1. 1 Samuel 10:9 changed his heart

At that time the Spirit of the Lord will come powerfully upon you, and you will prophesy with them. You will be changed into a different person. After these signs take place, do what must be done, for God is with you. Then go down to Gilgal ahead of me. I will join you there to sacrifice burnt offerings and peace offerings. You must wait for seven days until I arrive and give you further instructions.”

How did the son of Kish become a prophet?”

12 And one of those standing there said, “Can anyone become a prophet, no matter who his father is?”[a] So that is the origin of the saying “Is even Saul a prophet?”

13 When Saul had finished prophesying, he went up to the place of worship.
