1 Corinthians 9:15-23
New King James Version
15 But (A)I have used none of these things, nor have I written these things that it should be done so to me; for (B)it would be better for me to die than that anyone should make my boasting void. 16 For if I preach the gospel, I have nothing to boast of, for (C)necessity is laid upon me; yes, woe is me if I do not preach the gospel! 17 For if I do this willingly, (D)I have a reward; but if against my will, (E)I have been entrusted with a stewardship. 18 What is my reward then? That (F)when I preach the gospel, I may present the gospel [a]of Christ without charge, that I (G)may not abuse my authority in the gospel.
Serving All Men
19 For though I am (H)free from all men, (I)I have made myself a servant to all, (J)that I might win the more; 20 and (K)to the Jews I became as a Jew, that I might win Jews; to those who are under the law, as under the [b]law, that I might win those who are under the law; 21 (L)to (M)those who are without law, as without law (N)(not being without [c]law toward God, but under [d]law toward Christ), that I might win those who are without law; 22 (O)to the weak I became [e]as weak, that I might win the weak. (P)I have become all things to all men, (Q)that I might by all means save some. 23 Now this I do for the gospel’s sake, that I may be partaker of it with you.

15 But I have (A)used none of these things. And I have not written these things so that it will be done so in my case; for it would be better for me to die than that. No one shall make (B)my boast an empty one! 16 For if I preach the gospel, I have nothing to boast about, for (C)I am under compulsion; for woe to me if I do not preach (D)the gospel. 17 For if I do this voluntarily, I have a (E)reward; but if against my will, I have been entrusted with a (F)commission nonetheless. 18 What, then, is my (G)reward? That, when I preach the gospel, I may offer the gospel (H)without charge, so as (I)not to make full use of my right in the gospel.
19 For though I am (J)free from all people, I have made myself (K)a slave to all, so that I may (L)gain more. 20 (M)To the Jews I became as a Jew, so that I might gain Jews; to those who are under the Law, I became as one under the Law, though (N)not being under the Law myself, so that I might gain those who are under the Law; 21 to those who are (O)without the Law, I became (P)as one without the Law, though not being without the law of God but (Q)under the law of Christ, so that I might gain those who are without the Law. 22 To the (R)weak I became weak, that I might gain the weak; I have become (S)all things to all people, (T)so that I may by all means save some. 23 I do all things for the sake of the gospel, so that I may become a fellow partaker of it.

15 But I have used none of these things: and I write not these things that it may be so done in my case; for it were good for me rather to die, than that any man should make my glorying void. 16 For if I [a]preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of; for necessity is laid upon me; for woe is unto me, if I [b]preach not the gospel. 17 For if I do this of mine own will, I have a reward: but if not of mine own will, I have a stewardship intrusted to me. 18 What then is my reward? That, when I [c]preach the gospel, I may make the [d]gospel without charge, so as not to use to the full my right in the [e]gospel. 19 For though I was free from all men, I brought myself under bondage to all, that I might gain the more. 20 And to the Jews I became as a Jew, that I might gain Jews; to them that are under the law, as under the law, not being myself under the law, that I might gain them that are under the law; 21 to them that are without law, as without law, not being without law to God, but under law to Christ, that I might gain them that are without law. 22 To the weak I became weak, that I might gain the weak: I am become all things to all men, that I may by all means save some. 23 And I do all things for the [f]gospel’s sake, that I may be a joint partaker thereof.
