1 Corinthians 1:13-17

¹³ Has Christ been divided? Paul was not crucified for you, was he?^[a] Or were you baptized in the name of Paul? ¹⁴ I give thanks^[b] that I baptized none of you except Crispus and Gaius, ¹⁵ lest anyone should say that you were baptized in my name. ¹⁶ (Now I also baptized the household of Stephanas. Beyond that I do not know if I baptized anyone else.) ¹⁷ For Christ did not send me to baptize, but to proclaim the gospel, not with clever speech^[c], lest the cross of Christ be emptied.
