^16 (A)The cup of blessing that we bless, is it not a participation in the blood of Christ? ^(B)The bread that we break, is it not a participation in the body of Christ?

²⁵ In the same way also he took the cup, after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood. Do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of me.” ²⁶ For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the Lord's death ^(A)until he comes.

¹⁷ This is what I mean: the law, which came ^(A)430 years afterward, does not annul a covenant previously ratified by God, so as ^(B)to make the promise void.
