¹⁰The person loving a brother and sister stays in the light, and there is nothing in the light that causes a person to stumble.

New International Version

¹⁰Anyone who loves their brother and sister^[a] lives in the light,^(A) and there is nothing in them to make them stumble.^(B)

1 John 2:10 The Greek word for brother and sister (adelphos) refers here to a believer, whether man or woman, as part of God’s family; also in 3:10; 4:20, 21.

¹⁰He that loveth his brother abideth in the light, and there is none occasion of stumbling in him.
