² To the church of God that is in Corinth, to those ^(A)sanctified in Christ Jesus, ^(B)called to be saints together with all those who in every place ^(C)call upon the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, both their Lord and ours:

^8 (A)who will sustain you to the end, ^(B)guiltless ^(C)in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.

¹⁵ If anyone's work is burned up, he will suffer loss, though he himself will be saved, ^(A)but only as through fire.

^16 (B)Do you not know that you^[a] are God's temple and that God's Spirit dwells in you? ¹⁷ If anyone destroys God's temple, God will destroy him. For ^(C)God's temple is holy, and you are that temple.

⁵ Nevertheless, with most of them God was not pleased, for ^(A)they were overthrown^[a] in the wilderness.

⁶ Now these things took place as examples for us, that we might not desire evil as ^(B)they did.
