18 Căci Scriptura spune: „Să nu legi gura boului în timp ce treieră grâul“[a] şi „Vrednic este lucrătorul de plata lui.“[b] 19 Să nu accepţi nici o acuzaţie împotriva unui bătrân[c], decât dacă sunt doi sau trei martori. 20 Pe aceia dintre ei care păcătuiesc, mustră-i înaintea tuturor, astfel încât şi ceilalţi să aibă frică.

18 For Scripture says, “Do not muzzle an ox while it is treading out the grain,”[a](A) and “The worker deserves his wages.”[b](B) 19 Do not entertain an accusation against an elder(C) unless it is brought by two or three witnesses.(D) 20 But those elders who are sinning you are to reprove(E) before everyone, so that the others may take warning.(F)
