¹⁴ and continued to be successful in all his activities because the Lord was with him.^(A)

¹⁰ David became more and more powerful,^(A) and the Lord God of Armies was with him.^(B)

⁶ Then he placed garrisons in Aram of Damascus, and the Arameans became David’s subjects and brought tribute. The Lord made David victorious wherever he went.^(A)
