13 As for Hannah, (A)she was speaking in her heart; only her lips were moving, but her voice was not heard. So Eli thought she was drunk. 14 Then Eli said to her, “(B)How long will you make yourself drunk? Put away your wine from you.” 15 But Hannah answered and said, “No, my lord, I am a woman [a]oppressed in spirit; I have drunk neither wine nor strong drink, but I (C)have poured out my soul before Yahweh.

13 Hannah was praying in her heart, and her lips were moving but her voice was not heard. Eli thought she was drunk 14 and said to her, “How long are you going to stay drunk? Put away your wine.”
15 “Not so, my lord,” Hannah replied, “I am a woman who is deeply troubled.(A) I have not been drinking wine or beer; I was pouring(B) out my soul to the Lord.
