^24 (A)And he too stripped off his clothes, and he too prophesied before Samuel and lay naked all that day and all that night. Thus it is said, ^(B)“Is Saul also among the prophets?”

² at that time the Lord spoke by Isaiah the son of Amoz, saying, “Go, and loose the sackcloth from your waist and take off your sandals from your feet,” and he did so, walking ^(A)naked and barefoot.

²⁰ And David returned to bless his household. But Michal the daughter of Saul came out to meet David and said, “How the king of Israel honored himself today, ^(A)uncovering himself today before the eyes of his servants' female servants, as one of the ^(B)vulgar fellows shamelessly uncovers himself!”

¹⁰ When they came to ^(A)Gibeah,^[a] behold, a group of prophets met him, ^(B)and the Spirit of God rushed upon him, and he prophesied among them. ¹¹ And when all who knew him previously saw how he prophesied with the prophets, the people said to one another, “What has come over the son of Kish? ^(C)Is Saul also among the prophets?” ¹² And a man of the place answered, ^(D)“And who is their father?” Therefore it became a proverb, ^(E)“Is Saul also among the prophets?”

²¹ And all who heard him were amazed and said, “Is not this the man who ^(A)made havoc ^(B)in Jerusalem of those who called upon this name? And has he not come here for this purpose, to bring them bound before the chief priests?”

¹⁴ And David ^(A)danced before the Lord with all his might. And David was ^(B)wearing a linen ephod.
