Các Ban Thầy Tế Lễ
24 Các phân ban trong con cháu A-rôn: Các con trai của A-rôn là Na-đáp, A-bi-hu, Ê-lê-a-sa và Y-tha-ma. 2 Nhưng Na-đáp và A-bi-hu chết trước cha chúng và không có con; Ê-lê-a-sa và Y-tha-ma trở nên thầy tế lễ. 3 Vua Đa-vít cùng với Xa-đốc, thuộc dòng dõi Ê-lê-a-sa, và A-hi-mê-léc thuộc dòng dõi Y-tha-ma, phân chia các thầy tế lễ thành các ban phục vụ. 4 Giữa vòng con cháu Ê-lê-a-sa có nhiều trưởng tộc hơn là con cháu Y-tha-ma nên người ta phân chia như sau: Mười sáu trưởng tộc thuộc dòng dõi Ê-lê-a-sa và tám trưởng tộc thuộc dòng dõi Y-tha-ma. 5 Những người này được phân chia theo ban bằng cách rút thăm vì họ đều là những viên chức đền thánh, viên chức của Đức Chúa Trời, thuộc con cháu Ê-lê-a-sa và Y-tha-ma.
6 Sê-ma-gia là thư ký, con của Na-tha-na-ên, thuộc bộ tộc Lê-vi, ghi chép tên của họ trước mặt vua, các quan, thầy tế lễ Xa-đốc, A-hi-mê-léc, con trai A-bia-tha, và các trưởng tộc của thầy tế lễ và người Lê-vi: Cứ mỗi gia tộc thuộc Ê-lê-a-sa thì một gia tộc thuộc Y-tha-ma lại được rút thăm.
7 Thăm thứ nhất trúng Giê-hô-gia-ríp;
thăm thứ nhì vào Giê-đa-ê-gia;
8 thăm thứ ba trúng Ha-rim,
thứ tư vào Sê-ô-rim,
9 thứ năm trúng Manh-ki-gia,
thứ sáu vào Mia-min,
10 thứ bảy trúng Cốt,
thứ tám vào A-bi-gia,
11 thứ chín trúng Giê-sua,
thứ mười vào Sê-ca-nia,
12 thứ mười một trúng Ê-li-a-síp,
thứ mười hai vào Gia-kim,
13 thứ mười ba trúng Húp-ba,
thứ mười bốn vào Giê-sê-báp,
14 thứ mười lăm trúng Binh-ga,
thứ mười sáu vào Y-mê,
15 thứ mười bảy trúng Hê-xia,
thứ mười tám vào Phi-xết,
16 thứ mười chín trúng Phê-ta-hia,
thứ hai mươi vào Ê-xê-chi-ên,
17 thứ hai mươi mốt trúng Gia-kin,
thứ hai mươi hai vào Ga-mun,
18 thứ hai mươi ba trúng Đê-la-gia,
thứ hai mươi bốn vào Ma-a-xia.
19 Đây là các ban phục vụ trong đền thờ CHÚA theo những luật lệ mà tổ phụ họ là A-rôn thiết lập như CHÚA, Đức Chúa Trời của Y-sơ-ra-ên đã truyền.
20 Những con cháu còn lại của Lê-vi:
Trong con cháu Am-ram có Su-ba-ên,
trong con cháu Su-ba-ên có Giê-đia.
21 Còn về con cháu Rê-ha-bia,
Di-si-gia là trưởng.
22 Trong con cháu Dít-sê-ha có Sê-lô-mốt;
trong con cháu Sê-lô-hốt có Gia-hát.
23 Trong con cháu Hếp-rôn có Giê-ri-gia, con trưởng, A-ma-ria thứ nhì, Gia-ha-xi-ên thứ ba, và Gia-ca-mê-am thứ tư.
24 Trong con cháu U-xi-ên có Mi-ca;
trong con cháu Mi-ca có Sa-mia.
25 Anh em của Mi-ca là Dít-hi-gia;
trong con cháu Dít-hi-gia có Xa-cha-ri.
26 Trong con cháu Mê-ra-ri có Mách-li và Mu-si;
trong con cháu của Gia-a-xi-gia có Bê-nô.
27 Các con trai của Mê-ra-ri là
Bê-nô, Sô-ham, Xác-cua và Y-bê-ri.
28 Về dòng Mách-li có Ê-lê-a-sa, người không có con trai.
29 Trong con cháu Kích có
Giê-rác-mê-ên.
30 Các con trai của Mu-si là Mách-li, Ê-đe và Giê-ri-mốt.
Đó là con cháu Lê-vi theo tông tộc của chúng. 31 Họ cũng bắt thăm như những anh em của họ thuộc dòng dõi A-rôn đã làm trước mặt vua Đa-vít, Xa-đốc, A-bi-mê-léc cùng trước mặt các trưởng tộc của những thầy tế lễ và người Lê-vi. Những trưởng tộc cũng bắt thăm như những người em của mình.

24 Ðây là các đơn vị của họ, được phân chia theo nhiệm vụ đã trao cho các con của A-rôn. Các con của A-rôn là Na-đáp và A-bi-hu, Ê-lê-a-xa và I-tha-ma. 2 Nhưng Na-đáp và A-bi-hu đã qua đời trước cha của họ, và vì họ không có con nối dõi, nên Ê-lê-a-xa và I-tha-ma đảm trách chức vụ tư tế.

Trong con cháu của Ê-lê-a-xa có mười sáu người là thủ lãnh các gia tộc của họ; còn trong con cháu của I-tha-ma chỉ có tám người là thủ lãnh các gia tộc của họ. 5 Vì thế để được công bằng, họ bốc thăm chia thời khóa biểu phục vụ cho các thủ lãnh của hai thị tộc, vì họ đều là những viên chức cao cấp trong khu vực thánh và những viên chức của Ðức Chúa Trời trong vòng con cháu của Ê-lê-a-xa và con cháu của I-tha-ma. 6 Thư Ký Sê-ma-gia con của Nê-tha-nên, một người Lê-vi, ghi tên họ trước mặt vua, các nhà lãnh đạo, Tư Tế Xa-đốc, A-hi-mê-léc con của A-bi-a-tha, các tộc trưởng của các thị tộc tư tế, và các tộc trưởng của người Lê-vi, cứ một thăm cho thị tộc Ê-lê-a-xa thì một thăm cho thị tộc I-tha-ma.
7 Khi ấy thăm thứ nhất trúng Giê-hô-gia-ríp,

14 thăm thứ mười lăm trúng Bin-ga,
thăm thứ mười sáu trúng Im-me,
15 thăm thứ mười bảy trúng Hê-xia,
thăm thứ mười tám trúng Ha-pi-xê,
16 thăm thứ mười chín trúng Pê-tha-hi-a,
thăm thứ hai mươi trúng Giê-hê-kên,
17 thăm thứ hai mươi mốt trúng Gia-kin,
thăm thứ hai mươi hai trúng Gia-mun,
18 thăm thứ hai mươi ba trúng Ðê-la-gia,
thăm thứ hai mươi bốn trúng Ma-a-xi-a.
19 Ðó là thứ tự của họ để được vào phục vụ trong nhà Chúa theo như quy luật do A-rôn tổ phụ của họ đã định cho họ, mà Chúa, Ðức Chúa Trời của I-sơ-ra-ên, đã truyền cho ông.
Các Ðơn Vị Người Lê-vi
20 Các con cháu còn lại của Lê-vi gồm:
Trong các con của Am-ram có Su-ba-ên; trong các con của Su-ba-ên có Giê-đê-gia.
21 Về Rê-ha-bi-a: trong các con của Rê-ha-bi-a có I-si-a làm thủ lãnh.
22 Trong các con của Ít-ha có Sê-lô-mốt; trong các con của Sê-lô-mốt có Gia-hát.
23 Trong các con của Hếp-rôn có Giê-ri-a làm thủ lãnh,[a] A-ma-ri-a thứ nhì, Gia-ha-xi-ên thứ ba, Giê-ca-mê-am thứ tư.
24 Trong các con của U-xi-ên có Mi-ca; trong các con của Mi-ca có Sa-mia. 25 Trong dòng họ của Mi-ca có I-si-a; trong các con của I-si-a có Xa-cha-ri-a.
26 Trong các con của Mê-ra-ri có Ma-li và Mu-si.
Trong các con của Gia-a-xi-a có Bê-nô.[b]
27 Trong các con của Mê-ra-ri có Gia-a-xi-a, Bê-nô,[c] Sô-ham, Xác-cua, và Íp-ri.
28 Về dòng dõi của Ma-hi có Ê-lê-a-xa, ông không có con trai kế tự.
29 Về dòng dõi Kích: trong các con của Kích có Giê-ra-mê-ên.
30 Trong các con của Mu-si có Ma-hi, Ê-đe, và Giê-ri-mốt. Ðó là các con cháu của người Lê-vi, theo gia phả trong gia tộc họ.
31 Những người ấy cũng làm như bà con của họ là con cháu của A-rôn: trong vòng họ bất kể là thủ lãnh trong gia tộc hay người có vai vế thấp nhất trong gia tộc, ai cũng được bắt thăm để phục vụ, trước sự chứng kiến của Vua Ða-vít, Xa-đốc, A-hi-mê-léc, các thủ lãnh của các gia tộc tư tế, và các thủ lãnh của các gia tộc người Lê-vi.

The Divisions of Priests
24 These were the divisions(A) of the descendants of Aaron:(B)
The sons of Aaron were Nadab, Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar.(C) 2 But Nadab and Abihu died before their father did,(D) and they had no sons; so Eleazar and Ithamar served as the priests. 3 With the help of Zadok(E) a descendant of Eleazar and Ahimelek a descendant of Ithamar, David separated them into divisions for their appointed order of ministering. 4 A larger number of leaders were found among Eleazar’s descendants than among Ithamar’s, and they were divided accordingly: sixteen heads of families from Eleazar’s descendants and eight heads of families from Ithamar’s descendants. 5 They divided them impartially by casting lots,(F) for there were officials of the sanctuary and officials of God among the descendants of both Eleazar and Ithamar.
6 The scribe Shemaiah son of Nethanel, a Levite, recorded their names in the presence of the king and of the officials: Zadok the priest, Ahimelek(G) son of Abiathar and the heads of families of the priests and of the Levites—one family being taken from Eleazar and then one from Ithamar.
7 The first lot fell to Jehoiarib,
the second to Jedaiah,(H)
8 the third to Harim,(I)
the fourth to Seorim,
9 the fifth to Malkijah,
the sixth to Mijamin,
10 the seventh to Hakkoz,
the eighth to Abijah,(J)
11 the ninth to Jeshua,
the tenth to Shekaniah,
12 the eleventh to Eliashib,
the twelfth to Jakim,
13 the thirteenth to Huppah,
the fourteenth to Jeshebeab,
14 the fifteenth to Bilgah,
the sixteenth to Immer,(K)
15 the seventeenth to Hezir,(L)
the eighteenth to Happizzez,
16 the nineteenth to Pethahiah,
the twentieth to Jehezkel,
17 the twenty-first to Jakin,
the twenty-second to Gamul,
18 the twenty-third to Delaiah
and the twenty-fourth to Maaziah.
19 This was their appointed order of ministering when they entered the temple of the Lord, according to the regulations prescribed for them by their ancestor Aaron, as the Lord, the God of Israel, had commanded him.
The Rest of the Levites
20 As for the rest of the descendants of Levi:(M)
from the sons of Amram: Shubael;
from the sons of Shubael: Jehdeiah.
21 As for Rehabiah,(N) from his sons:
Ishiah was the first.
22 From the Izharites: Shelomoth;
from the sons of Shelomoth: Jahath.
23 The sons of Hebron:(O) Jeriah the first,[a] Amariah the second, Jahaziel the third and Jekameam the fourth.
24 The son of Uzziel: Micah;
from the sons of Micah: Shamir.
25 The brother of Micah: Ishiah;
from the sons of Ishiah: Zechariah.
26 The sons of Merari:(P) Mahli and Mushi.
The son of Jaaziah: Beno.
27 The sons of Merari:
from Jaaziah: Beno, Shoham, Zakkur and Ibri.
28 From Mahli: Eleazar, who had no sons.
29 From Kish: the son of Kish:
Jerahmeel.
30 And the sons of Mushi: Mahli, Eder and Jerimoth.
These were the Levites, according to their families. 31 They also cast lots,(Q) just as their relatives the descendants of Aaron did, in the presence of King David and of Zadok, Ahimelek, and the heads of families of the priests and of the Levites. The families of the oldest brother were treated the same as those of the youngest.

21 Concerning Rehabiah: of the sons of Rehabiah, the first was Isshiah.

4 There were more leaders found of the sons of Eleazar than of the sons of Ithamar, and thus they were divided. Among the sons of Eleazar were sixteen heads of their fathers’ houses, and eight heads of their fathers’ houses among the sons of Ithamar. 5 Thus they were divided by lot, one group as another, for there were officials of the sanctuary and officials of the house of God, from the sons of Eleazar and from the sons of Ithamar. 6 And the scribe, Shemaiah the son of Nethanel, one of the Levites, wrote them down before the king, the leaders, Zadok the priest, Ahimelech the son of Abiathar, and the heads of the fathers’ houses of the priests and Levites, one father’s house taken for Eleazar and one for Ithamar.

30 Also (J)the sons of Mushi were Mahli, Eder, and Jerimoth. These were the sons of the Levites according to their fathers’ houses.
31 These also cast lots just as their brothers the sons of Aaron did, in the presence of King David, Zadok, Ahimelech, and the heads of the fathers’ houses of the priests and Levites. The chief fathers did just as their younger brethren.
