15 Y dijo: Bendito sea el SEÑOR Dios de Israel, que habló de su boca a David mi padre, y con su mano lo ha cumplido, diciendo:
16 Desde el día que saqué a mi pueblo Israel de Egipto, no he escogido ciudad de todas las tribus de Israel para edificar Casa en la cual estuviera mi nombre, aunque escogí a David para que presidiera en mi pueblo Israel.
17 Y David mi padre tuvo en el corazón edificar Casa para el nombre del SEÑOR Dios de Israel.

15 Then he said:
“Praise be to the Lord,(A) the God of Israel, who with his own hand has fulfilled what he promised with his own mouth to my father David. For he said, 16 ‘Since the day I brought my people Israel out of Egypt,(B) I have not chosen a city in any tribe of Israel to have a temple built so that my Name(C) might be there, but I have chosen(D) David(E) to rule my people Israel.’
17 “My father David had it in his heart(F) to build a temple(G) for the Name of the Lord, the God of Israel.
