22 Mas os seguidores de Onri eram mais fortes do que os de Tibni, filho de Ginate. Então Tibni morreu e Onri passou a ser o rei.
23 No ano trinta e um do reinado de Asa em Judá, Onri começou a reinar em Israel. Onri governou Israel durante doze anos, seis dos quais foram desde a cidade de Tirza. 24 Mas Onri comprou a Sêmer o monte de Samaria por sessenta e seis quilos[a] de prata. Onri construiu uma cidade no monte e lhe deu o nome de Samaria, de acordo com o nome Sêmer, o antigo dono do monte.

New International Version
22 But Omri’s followers proved stronger than those of Tibni son of Ginath. So Tibni died and Omri became king.
23 In the thirty-first year of Asa king of Judah, Omri became king of Israel, and he reigned twelve years, six of them in Tirzah.(A) 24 He bought the hill of Samaria from Shemer for two talents[a] of silver and built a city on the hill, calling it Samaria,(B) after Shemer, the name of the former owner of the hill.
