^2 (A)as newborn babes, desire the pure ^(B)milk of the word, that you may grow ^[a]thereby,

Spiritual Immaturity

¹² For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you again the first principles of the ^[a]oracles of God; and you have come to need ^(A)milk and not solid food. ¹³ For everyone who partakes only of milk is unskilled in the word of righteousness, for he is ^(B)a babe.

¹⁵ but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the ^(A)head—Christ—

¹⁵ Assuredly, I say to you, ^(A)whoever does not receive the kingdom of God as a little child will ^(B)by no means enter it.”

^18 (A)but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

^(B)To Him be the glory both now and forever. Amen.

Sectarianism Is Carnal

3 And I, brethren, could not speak to you as to spiritual people but as to carnal, as to ^(A)babes in Christ. ² I fed you with ^(B)milk and not with solid food; ^(C)for until now you were not able to receive it, and even now you are still not able;

³ and said, “Assuredly, I say to you, ^(A)unless you are converted and become as little children, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven.

Tongues a Sign to Unbelievers

²⁰ Brethren, ^(A)do not be children in understanding; however, in malice ^(B)be babes, but in understanding be mature.
