26 Sedan föddes den andre tvillingen med sin hand om Esaus häl. Därför kallade de honom Jakob[a]. Isak var sextio år gammal när tvillingarna föddes.
Esau säljer sin förstfödslorätt
27 Allt eftersom pojkarna växte upp blev Esau en skicklig jägare, som höll till ute på markerna, medan Jakob var mer stillsam och trivdes hemma i tälten. 28 Esau var Isaks favorit, för han tyckte om köttet som Esau kom hem med. Men Rebecka älskade Jakob.

New International Version
26 After this, his brother came out,(A) with his hand grasping Esau’s heel;(B) so he was named Jacob.[a](C) Isaac was sixty years old(D) when Rebekah gave birth to them.
27 The boys grew up, and Esau became a skillful hunter,(E) a man of the open country,(F) while Jacob was content to stay at home among the tents. 28 Isaac, who had a taste for wild game,(G) loved Esau, but Rebekah loved Jacob.(H)
