3 Lo que hemos visto y oído se lo anunciamos también a ustedes para que tengan compañerismo con nosotros, así como nosotros tenemos compañerismo con el Padre y con su Hijo, Jesucristo. 4 Les escribimos esto para aumentar al máximo nuestra alegría.

5 Este es el mensaje que hemos oído de Jesucristo y se lo estamos anunciando a ustedes: Dios es luz y no hay oscuridad en él.

3 We proclaim to you what we have seen and heard,(A) so that you also may have fellowship with us. And our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son, Jesus Christ.(B) 4 We write this(C) to make our[a] joy complete.(D)
Light and Darkness, Sin and Forgiveness
5 This is the message we have heard(E) from him and declare to you: God is light;(F) in him there is no darkness at all.
