9 Nailista ang lahat ng Israelita sa talaan ng mga lahi sa Aklat ng Kasaysayan ng mga hari ng Israel. Ang mga mamamayan ng Juda ay binihag sa Babilonia dahil hindi sila naging tapat sa Panginoon. 2 Ang unang nakabalik sa kanilang mga bayan sa sariling lupain ay ang mga ordinaryong Israelita, mga pari, mga Levita, at mga utusan sa templo.[a]
3 Ito ang mga lahi nina Juda, Benjamin, Efraim at Manase na nakabalik at tumira sa Jerusalem:
4 Si Utai na anak ni Amihud (si Amihud ay anak ni Omri; si Omri ay anak ni Imri; si Imri ay anak ni Bani na mula sa angkan ni Perez na anak ni Juda).
5 Sa mga Shilonita: si Asaya (ang panganay) at ang mga anak niya.
6 Sa mga Zerahita: ang pamilya ni Jeuel.
Silang lahat ay 690 mula sa lahi ni Juda.
7 Sa lahi ni Benjamin: si Salu na anak ni Meshulam (si Meshulam ay anak ni Hodavia; si Hodavia ay anak ni Hasenua), 8 si Ibneya na anak ni Jeroham, si Elah na anak ni Uzi (si Uzi ay anak ni Micri), at si Meshulam na anak ni Shefatia (si Shefatia ay anak ni Reuel; si Reuel ay anak ni Ibnia).
9 Silang lahat ang pinuno ng kanilang mga pamilya. Mula sa lahi ni Benjamin, ang lahat ng nakabalik na lalaki ay 956 ayon sa talaan ng kanilang mga lahi.
10 Sa mga pari: si Jedaya, si Jehoyarib, si Jakin, 11 si Azaria na pinakamataas na opisyal sa templo ng Dios (anak siya ni Hilkia; si Hilkia ay anak ni Meshulam; si Meshulam ay anak ni Zadok; si Zadok ay anak ni Merayot; si Merayot ay anak ni Ahitub), 12 si Adaya na anak ni Jeroham (si Jeroham ay anak ni Pashur; si Pashur ay anak ni Malkia), at si Maasai na anak ni Adiel (si Adiel ay anak ni Jazera; si Jezera ay anak ni Meshulam; si Meshulam ay anak ni Meshilemit; si Meshilemit ay anak ni Imer).
13 Ang mga pari na nakabalik ay 1,760 lahat. Mahuhusay silang pinuno ng kanilang mga pamilya. Sila ang mga pinagkatiwalaan sa paglilingkod sa templo ng Dios.
14 Sa mga Levita: si Shemaya na anak ni Hashub (si Hashub ay anak ni Azrikam; si Azrikam ay anak ni Hashabia na mula sa angkan ni Merari), 15 si Bakbakar, si Heres, si Galal, si Matania na anak ni Mica (si Mica ay anak ni Zicri; si Zicri ay anak ni Asaf), 16 si Obadias na anak ni Shemaya (si Shemaya ay anak ni Galal; si Galal ay anak ni Jedutun), at si Berekia na anak ni Asa at apo ni Elkana, na tumira sa baryo ng mga Netofatno.
17 Ang mga guwardya ng pintuan: sina Shalum, Akub, Talmon, Ahiman, at ang kanilang mga kamag-anak.
Si Shalum ang pinuno nila.
18 Hanggang ngayon, sila pa rin ang guwardya ng Pintuan ng Hari sa bandang silangan ng lungsod. Sila noon ang mga guwardya ng pintuang papasok sa kampo ng mga Levita.
19 Si Shalum ay anak ni Kore at apo ni Ebiasaf,[b] na mula sa pamilya ni Kora. Si Shalum at ang kanyang mga kamag-anak na mula sa angkan ni Kora ang pinagkatiwalaan sa pagbabantay ng pintuan ng Tolda katulad ng kanilang mga ninuno na pinagkatiwalaan sa pagbabantay ng pintuan ng bahay[c] ng Panginoon.
20 Si Finehas na anak ni Eleazar ang namamahala noon sa mga guwardya ng pintuan, at sinamahan siya ng Panginoon.
21 Si Zacarias na anak ni Meshelemia ay guwardya rin ng pintuan ng Toldang Tipanan.
22 Ang mga guwardya ng pintuan ay 212 lahat, at itinala sila ayon sa talaan ng mga angkan nila sa kanilang bayan. Ang nagbigay ng tungkulin sa kanilang mga ninuno bilang mga guwardya ng pintuan (dahil maaasahan sila) ay sina David at Propeta Samuel. 23 Sila at ang kanilang mga angkan ang pinagkakatiwalaang magbantay sa mga pintuan ng bahay ng Panginoon – na tinatawag ding Tolda. 24 Nagbabantay sila sa apat na sulok: sa silangan, kanluran, hilaga at timog. 25 Kung minsan ang mga kamag-anak nilang nakatira sa mga bayan ang pumapalit sa kanila na magbantay sa loob ng pitong araw. 26 Pero ang apat na pinuno ng mga guwardya ng pintuan, na mula sa mga Levita, ang siyang responsable sa mga kwarto at mga bodega ng templo. 27 Nagpupuyat sila sa pagbabantay sa paligid ng templo dahil kailangan nila itong bantayan at sila ang tagabukas ng pinto tuwing umaga.
28 Ang iba sa kanilaʼy pinagkatiwalaan sa pag-aasikaso ng mga gamit sa pagsamba. Binibilang nila ito bago at pagkatapos gamitin. 29 Ang ibaʼy pinagkatiwalaan sa pag-aasikaso ng iba pang mga gamit sa templo gaya ng harina, katas ng ubas, langis, insenso at mga pampalasa. 30 Ngunit katungkulan ng mga pari ang pagtitimpla ng mga pampalasa. 31 Si Matitia na Levita, at panganay na anak ni Shalum na mula sa angkan ni Kora, ang pinagkatiwalaan sa pagluluto ng tinapay para ihandog. 32 Ang ibang angkan ni Kohat ang pinagkatiwalaan sa paghahanda at paglalagay ng mga tinapay sa mesa tuwing Araw ng Pamamahinga. 33 Ang mga musikero sa templo na mga pinuno rin ng mga pamilyang Levita ay doon na rin tumira sa mga silid sa templo. At wala na silang iba pang gawain, dahil ginagawa nila ito araw at gabi. 34 Silang lahat ang pinuno ng mga pamilyang Levita, nailista sila sa talaan ng kanilang lahi. Tumira sila sa Jerusalem.

35 Si Jeyel na ama ni Gibeon ay tumira sa Gibeon. Ang pangalan ng asawa niya ay Maaca. 36 Ang mga anak niyang lalaki mula sa panganay hanggang sa pinakabata ay sina Abdon, Zur, Kish, Baal, Ner, Nadab, 37 Gedor, Ahio, Zacarias at Miklot 38 (na ama ni Shimeam). Tumira sila malapit sa mga kamag-anak nila sa Jerusalem. 39 Si Ner ang ama ni Kish, si Kish ang ama ni Saul, at si Saul ang ama nina Jonatan, Malki Shua, Abinadab at Eshbaal. 40 Ang anak ni Jonatan ay si Merib Baal[d] na ama ni Micas. 41 Ang mga anak na lalaki ni Micas ay sina Piton, Melec, Tarea at Ahaz.[e] 42 Si Ahaz ang ama ni Jada,[f] at si Jada ang ama nina Alemet, Azmavet at Zimri. Si Zimri ang ama ni Moza, 43 at si Moza ang ama ni Binea. Ang anak ni Binea ay si Refaya, ang anak ni Refaya ay si Eleasa, at ang anak ni Eleasa ay si Azel. 44 Si Azel ay may anim na anak na sina: Azrikam, Bokeru, Ishmael, Shearia, Obadias at Hanan.

9 Sa gayo'y ang buong Israel ay nabilang ayon sa mga talaan ng lahi; at, narito, sila'y nangasusulat sa aklat ng mga hari sa Israel. At ang Juda'y dinalang bihag sa Babilonia dahil sa kanilang pagsalangsang.
2 Ang mga unang mananahanan na nagsitahan sa kanilang mga pag-aari sa kanilang mga bayan ay ang Israel, ang mga saserdote, ang mga Levita, at ang mga Nethineo.

16 At si Obadias na anak ni Semeias, na anak ni Galal, na anak ni Iduthum, at si Berechias na anak ni Asa na anak ni Elcana, na tumahan sa mga nayon ng mga Nethophatita.
17 At ang mga tagatanod-pinto: si Sallum, at si Accub, at si Talmon, at si Ahiman: at ang kanilang mga kapatid (si Sallum ang puno),
18 Na hanggang ngayo'y namamalagi sa pintuang-daan ng hari na dakong silanganan: sila ang mga tagatanod-pinto sa kampamento ng mga anak ni Levi.
19 At si Sallum na anak ni Core, na anak ni Abiasath, na anak ni Corah, at ang kaniyang mga kapatid, sa sangbahayan ng kaniyang magulang, ang mga Koraita ay nangamamahala sa gawaing paglilingkod, na mga tagapagingat ng mga pintuang-daan ng tabernakulo; at ang kanilang mga magulang ay nangapasa kampamento ng Panginoon, na mga tagapagingat ng pasukan.
20 At si Phinees na anak ni Eleazar ay pinuno sa kanila nang panahong nakaraan, at ang Panginoon ay sumasa kaniya.
21 Si Zacarias na anak ni Meselemia ay tagatanod-pinto ng tabernakulo ng kapisanan.
22 Lahat ng mga ito na mga napili upang maging mga tagatanod-pinto sa mga pintuang-daan ay dalawang daan at labing dalawa. Ang mga ito'y nangabilang ayon sa talaan ng lahi sa kanilang mga nayon, na siyang pinagkatiwalaan sa kanilang katungkulan ni David at ni Samuel na tagakita.
23 Sa gayo'y sila, at ang kanilang mga anak ay namahala na pinakabantay sa mga pintuang-daan ng bahay ng Panginoon, sa makatuwid baga'y ng bahay ng tabernakulo, ayon sa paghahalinhinan.
24 Na sa apat na sulok ang mga tagatanod-pinto, sa dakong silanganan, kalunuran, hilagaan, at timugan.
25 At ang kanilang mga kapatid, sa kanilang mga nayon, ay paroroon sa bawa't pitong araw, tuwing kapanahunan upang sumakanila:
26 Sapagka't ang apat na punong tagatanod-pinto, na mga Levita, ay nangasa takdang katungkulan, at nangasa mga silid at sa mga ingatangyaman sa bahay ng Dios.
27 At sila'y nagsitahan sa palibot ng bahay ng Dios, sapagka't ang katungkulan doon ay kanila, at sa kanila nauukol ang pagbubukas tuwing umaga.
28 At ang ilan sa kanila ay may katungkulan sa mga kasangkapan na ipinaglilingkod; sapagka't ayon sa bilang ipinapasok, at ayon sa bilang inilalabas.
29 Ang ilan naman sa kanila ay nangahalal sa kasangkapan, at sa lahat ng mga kasangkapan ng santuario, at sa mainam na harina, at sa alak, at sa langis, at sa kamangyan, at sa mga espesia.
30 At ang ilan sa mga anak ng mga saserdote ay nagsisipaghanda ng paghahalohalo ng mga espesia.
31 At si Mathathias, na isa sa mga Levita, na siyang panganay ni Sallum na Coraita, may takdang katungkulan sa mga bagay na niluluto sa kawali.
32 At ang ilan sa kanilang mga kapatid sa mga anak ng mga Coatita, ay nangasa tinapay na handog upang ihanda bawa't sabbath.
33 At ang mga ito ang mga mangaawit, na mga pangulo sa mga sangbahayan ng mga magulang ng mga Levita, na mga nagsisitahan sa mga silid, at mga laya sa ibang katungkulan: sapagka't sila'y nangalalagay sa kanilang gawain araw at gabi.
34 Ang mga ito ay mga pangulo sa mga sangbahayan ng mga magulang ng mga Levita, ayon sa kanilang lahi na mga lalaking pinuno: ang mga ito'y nagsitahan sa Jerusalem.
35 At sa Gabaon ay tumahan ang ama ni Gabaon, si Jehiel, na ang pangalan ng kaniyang asawa ay Maacha:
36 At ang anak niyang panganay si Abdon, at si Sur, at si Cis, at si Baal, at si Ner, at si Nadab;
37 At si Gedor, at si Ahio, at si Zacharias, at si Micloth.
38 At naging anak ni Micloth si Samaam. At sila nama'y nagsitahan na kasama ng kanilang mga kapatid sa Jerusalem, sa tapat ng kanilang mga kapatid.
39 At naging anak ni Ner si Cis; at naging anak ni Cis si Saul; at naging anak ni Saul si Jonathan, at si Malchi-sua, at si Abinadab, at si Esbaal.
40 At ang anak ni Jonathan ay si Merib-baal; at naging anak ni Merib-baal si Micha.
41 At ang mga anak ni Micha: si Phiton, at si Melech, at si Tharea, at si Ahaz.

9 All Israel(A) was listed in the genealogies recorded in the book of the kings of Israel and Judah. They were taken captive to Babylon(B) because of their unfaithfulness.(C)
The People in Jerusalem(D)
2 Now the first to resettle on their own property in their own towns(E) were some Israelites, priests, Levites and temple servants.(F)
3 Those from Judah, from Benjamin, and from Ephraim and Manasseh who lived in Jerusalem were:
4 Uthai son of Ammihud, the son of Omri, the son of Imri, the son of Bani, a descendant of Perez son of Judah.(G)
5 Of the Shelanites[a]:
Asaiah the firstborn and his sons.
6 Of the Zerahites:
Jeuel.
The people from Judah numbered 690.
7 Of the Benjamites:
Sallu son of Meshullam, the son of Hodaviah, the son of Hassenuah;
8 Ibneiah son of Jeroham; Elah son of Uzzi, the son of Mikri; and Meshullam son of Shephatiah, the son of Reuel, the son of Ibnijah.
9 The people from Benjamin, as listed in their genealogy, numbered 956. All these men were heads of their families.

Jedaiah; Jehoiarib; Jakin;
11 Azariah son of Hilkiah, the son of Meshullam, the son of Zadok, the son of Meraioth, the son of Ahitub, the official in charge of the house of God;
12 Adaiah son of Jeroham, the son of Pashhur,(H) the son of Malkijah; and Maasai son of Adiel, the son of Jahzerah, the son of Meshullam, the son of Meshillemith, the son of Immer.
13 The priests, who were heads of families, numbered 1,760. They were able men, responsible for ministering in the house of God.
14 Of the Levites:
Shemaiah son of Hasshub, the son of Azrikam, the son of Hashabiah, a Merarite; 15 Bakbakkar, Heresh, Galal and Mattaniah(I) son of Mika, the son of Zikri, the son of Asaph; 16 Obadiah son of Shemaiah, the son of Galal, the son of Jeduthun; and Berekiah son of Asa, the son of Elkanah, who lived in the villages of the Netophathites.(J)
17 The gatekeepers:(K)
Shallum, Akkub, Talmon, Ahiman and their fellow Levites, Shallum their chief 18 being stationed at the King’s Gate(L) on the east, up to the present time. These were the gatekeepers belonging to the camp of the Levites. 19 Shallum(M) son of Kore, the son of Ebiasaph, the son of Korah, and his fellow gatekeepers from his family (the Korahites) were responsible for guarding the thresholds of the tent just as their ancestors had been responsible for guarding the entrance to the dwelling of the Lord. 20 In earlier times Phinehas(N) son of Eleazar was the official in charge of the gatekeepers, and the Lord was with him. 21 Zechariah(O) son of Meshelemiah was the gatekeeper at the entrance to the tent of meeting.
22 Altogether, those chosen to be gatekeepers(P) at the thresholds numbered 212. They were registered by genealogy in their villages. The gatekeepers had been assigned to their positions of trust by David and Samuel the seer.(Q) 23 They and their descendants were in charge of guarding the gates of the house of the Lord—the house called the tent of meeting. 24 The gatekeepers were on the four sides: east, west, north and south. 25 Their fellow Levites in their villages had to come from time to time and share their duties for seven-day(R) periods. 26 But the four principal gatekeepers, who were Levites, were entrusted with the responsibility for the rooms and treasuries(S) in the house of God. 27 They would spend the night stationed around the house of God,(T) because they had to guard it; and they had charge of the key(U) for opening it each morning.
28 Some of them were in charge of the articles used in the temple service; they counted them when they were brought in and when they were taken out. 29 Others were assigned to take care of the furnishings and all the other articles of the sanctuary,(V) as well as the special flour and wine, and the olive oil, incense and spices. 30 But some(W) of the priests took care of mixing the spices. 31 A Levite named Mattithiah, the firstborn son of Shallum the Korahite, was entrusted with the responsibility for baking the offering bread. 32 Some of the Kohathites, their fellow Levites, were in charge of preparing for every Sabbath the bread set out on the table.(X)
33 Those who were musicians,(Y) heads of Levite families, stayed in the rooms of the temple and were exempt from other duties because they were responsible for the work day and night.(Z)
34 All these were heads of Levite families, chiefs as listed in their genealogy, and they lived in Jerusalem.
The Genealogy of Saul(AA)
35 Jeiel(AB) the father[b] of Gibeon lived in Gibeon.
His wife’s name was Maakah, 36 and his firstborn son was Abdon, followed by Zur, Kish, Baal, Ner, Nadab, 37 Gedor, Ahio, Zechariah and Mikloth. 38 Mikloth was the father of Shimeam. They too lived near their relatives in Jerusalem.
39 Ner(AC) was the father of Kish,(AD) Kish the father of Saul, and Saul the father of Jonathan,(AE) Malki-Shua, Abinadab and Esh-Baal.[c](AF)
40 The son of Jonathan:
Merib-Baal,[d](AG) who was the father of Micah.
41 The sons of Micah:
Pithon, Melek, Tahrea and Ahaz.[e]
42 Ahaz was the father of Jadah, Jadah[f] was the father of Alemeth, Azmaveth and Zimri, and Zimri was the father of Moza. 43 Moza was the father of Binea; Rephaiah was his son, Eleasah his son and Azel his son.
44 Azel had six sons, and these were their names:
Azrikam, Bokeru, Ishmael, Sheariah, Obadiah and Hanan. These were the sons of Azel.

9 So all Israel were reckoned by genealogies; and, behold, they were written in the book of the kings of Israel and Judah, who were carried away to Babylon for their transgression.
2 Now the first inhabitants that dwelt in their possessions in their cities were, the Israelites, the priests, Levites, and the Nethinims.
3 And in Jerusalem dwelt of the children of Judah, and of the children of Benjamin, and of the children of Ephraim, and Manasseh;

19 And Shallum the son of Kore, the son of Ebiasaph, the son of Korah, and his brethren, of the house of his father, the Korahites, were over the work of the service, keepers of the gates of the tabernacle: and their fathers, being over the host of the Lord, were keepers of the entry.
20 And Phinehas the son of Eleazar was the ruler over them in time past, and the Lord was with him.
21 And Zechariah the son of Meshelemiah was porter of the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.
22 All these which were chosen to be porters in the gates were two hundred and twelve. These were reckoned by their genealogy in their villages, whom David and Samuel the seer did ordain in their set office.
23 So they and their children had the oversight of the gates of the house of the Lord, namely, the house of the tabernacle, by wards.
24 In four quarters were the porters, toward the east, west, north, and south.
25 And their brethren, which were in their villages, were to come after seven days from time to time with them.
26 For these Levites, the four chief porters, were in their set office, and were over the chambers and treasuries of the house of God.
27 And they lodged round about the house of God, because the charge was upon them, and the opening thereof every morning pertained to them.
28 And certain of them had the charge of the ministering vessels, that they should bring them in and out by tale.
29 Some of them also were appointed to oversee the vessels, and all the instruments of the sanctuary, and the fine flour, and the wine, and the oil, and the frankincense, and the spices.
30 And some of the sons of the priests made the ointment of the spices.
31 And Mattithiah, one of the Levites, who was the firstborn of Shallum the Korahite, had the set office over the things that were made in the pans.
32 And other of their brethren, of the sons of the Kohathites, were over the shewbread, to prepare it every sabbath.
33 And these are the singers, chief of the fathers of the Levites, who remaining in the chambers were free: for they were employed in that work day and night.
34 These chief fathers of the Levites were chief throughout their generations; these dwelt at Jerusalem.
35 And in Gibeon dwelt the father of Gibeon, Jehiel, whose wife's name was Maachah:
36 And his firstborn son Abdon, then Zur, and Kish, and Baal, and Ner, and Nadab.
37 And Gedor, and Ahio, and Zechariah, and Mikloth.
38 And Mikloth begat Shimeam. And they also dwelt with their brethren at Jerusalem, over against their brethren.
39 And Ner begat Kish; and Kish begat Saul; and Saul begat Jonathan, and Malchishua, and Abinadab, and Eshbaal.
40 And the son of Jonathan was Meribbaal: and Meribbaal begat Micah.
41 And the sons of Micah were, Pithon, and Melech, and Tahrea, and Ahaz.
42 And Ahaz begat Jarah; and Jarah begat Alemeth, and Azmaveth, and Zimri; and Zimri begat Moza;
43 And Moza begat Binea; and Rephaiah his son, Eleasah his son, Azel his son.
44 And Azel had six sons, whose names are these, Azrikam, Bocheru, and Ishmael, and Sheariah, and Obadiah, and Hanan: these were the sons of Azel.
