Ang Pulong Sa Dios
Giilog ni David ang Raba
(2 Sam. 12:26-31)
20 Sa panahon sa tingpanglakaw sa mga hari aron sa pagpakiggira, si Joab ang nangulo sa mga sundalo sa pagpakiggira, samtang si Haring David nagpabilin sa Jerusalem. Gilaglag nila ni Joab ang yuta sa mga Amonihanon, unya gisulong nila ang Raba, hangtod nga nailog nila kini. 2 Miadto si David sa Raba, ug gikuha niya ang bulawan nga korona gikan sa ulo sa hari sa mga Amonihanon ug gibutang sa iyang ulo. May gibug-aton nga mga 35 ka kilo ang korona, ug aduna kini mga batong mahalon. Daghang mga kabtangan ang nakuha ni David niadto nga siyudad. 3 Giulipon niya ang mga lumulupyo niini ug gipatrabaho ginamit ang mga gabas, piko, ug atsa. Mao kini ang gihimo ni David sa mga lumulupyo sa tanan nga lungsod sa mga Amonihanon. Unya mipauli si David ug ang iyang tibuok kasundalohan sa Jerusalem.
Ang Gira Batok sa mga Filistihanon
(2 Sam. 21:15-22)
4 Wala madugay, naggira na usab ang mga Filistihanon ug mga Israelinhon, ug didto kini mahitabo sa Gezer. Niini nga gira gipatay ni Sibecai nga taga-Husha si Sipai, nga usa sa mga kaliwat sa mga Rafa.[a] Ug napildi ang mga Filistihanon. 5 Sa usa pa nila ka gira, gipatay ni Elhanan nga anak ni Jair si Lami nga igsoon ni Goliat nga taga-Gat. Ang bangkaw ni Lami bug-at ug baga.[b]
6 Naggira pag-usab ang mga Filistihanon ug mga Israelinhon, ug didto kini nahitabo sa Gat. Niini nga gira, may tawo nga labihan kaayo kadako. May unom siya ka tudlo sa matag kamot ug tiil. Usa usab siya sa mga kaliwat sa mga Rafa. 7 Sa dihang gibugalbugalan niya ang mga Israelinhon, gipatay siya ni Jonatan nga anak sa igsoon ni David nga si Shimea.
8 Kadto nga mga Filistihanon mga kaliwat sa mga Rafa nga taga-Gat. Gipamatay sila ni David ug sa iyang mga tawo.

20 (A)Y aconteció que en la primavera[a], en el tiempo en que los reyes salen a la guerra, Joab sacó el ejército y devastó la tierra de los hijos de Amón, y fue y puso sitio a Rabá; pero David se quedó en Jerusalén(B). Y Joab hirió a Rabá y la destruyó(C). 2 David tomó la corona de la cabeza de su rey[b], y halló que pesaba un talento[c] de oro y que tenía en ella una piedra preciosa; y fue puesta[d] sobre la cabeza de David. Sacó además una gran cantidad de botín de la ciudad(D). 3 Y a la gente que había en ella, la sacó y la puso[e] a trabajar con sierras, con trillos de hierro y con hachas. Y así hizo David a todas las ciudades de los hijos de Amón. Entonces regresó David con todo el pueblo a Jerusalén(E).
4 (F)Sucedió después de esto que se suscitó[f] guerra en Gezer[g] contra los filisteos; entonces Sibecai husatita mató[h] a Sipai, uno de los descendientes de los gigantes[i], los cuales[j] fueron dominados. 5 De nuevo hubo guerra contra los filisteos, y Elhanán, hijo de Jair, mató a Lahmi, hermano de Goliat geteo(G); el asta de su lanza era como un rodillo de tejedor(H). 6 Y hubo guerra otra vez en Gat, donde había un hombre de gran estatura que tenía veinticuatro dedos, seis en cada mano y seis en cada pie; él también descendía de los gigantes. 7 Cuando desafió a Israel, lo mató Jonatán, hijo de Simea, hermano de David. 8 Estos descendían de los gigantes en Gat y cayeron por mano de David y por mano de sus siervos.

20 And it came to pass, that after the year was expired, at the time that kings go out to battle, Joab led forth the power of the army, and wasted the country of the children of Ammon, and came and besieged Rabbah. But David tarried at Jerusalem. And Joab smote Rabbah, and destroyed it.
2 And David took the crown of their king from off his head, and found it to weigh a talent of gold, and there were precious stones in it; and it was set upon David's head: and he brought also exceeding much spoil out of the city.
3 And he brought out the people that were in it, and cut them with saws, and with harrows of iron, and with axes. Even so dealt David with all the cities of the children of Ammon. And David and all the people returned to Jerusalem.
4 And it came to pass after this, that there arose war at Gezer with the Philistines; at which time Sibbechai the Hushathite slew Sippai, that was of the children of the giant: and they were subdued.
5 And there was war again with the Philistines; and Elhanan the son of Jair slew Lahmi the brother of Goliath the Gittite, whose spear staff was like a weaver's beam.
6 And yet again there was war at Gath, where was a man of great stature, whose fingers and toes were four and twenty, six on each hand, and six on each foot and he also was the son of the giant.
7 But when he defied Israel, Jonathan the son of Shimea David's brother slew him.
8 These were born unto the giant in Gath; and they fell by the hand of David, and by the hand of his servants.
