Figli di Davide
3 Questi sono i figli che nacquero a Davide in Ebron: il primogenito Amnòn, nato da Achinoàm di Izreèl; Daniele secondo, nato da Abigàil del Carmelo; 2 Assalonne terzo, figlio di Maaca figlia di Talmài, re di Ghesur; Adonia quarto, figlio di Agghìt; 3 Sefatìa quinto, nato da Abitàl; Itràm sesto, figlio della moglie Egla. 4 Sei gli nacquero in Ebron, ove egli regnò sette anni e sei mesi, mentre regnò trentatrè anni in Gerusalemme. 5 I seguenti gli nacquero in Gerusalemme: Simèa, Sobàb, Natàn e Salomone, ossia quattro figli natigli da Betsabea, figlia di Ammièl; 6 inoltre Ibcàr, Elisàma, Elifèlet, 7 Noga, Nefeg, Iafia, 8 Elisamà, Eliadà ed Elifèlet, ossia nove figli. 9 Tutti costoro furono figli di Davide, senza contare i figli delle sue concubine. Tamàr era loro sorella.

10 Figli di Salomone: Roboamo, di cui fu figlio Abia, di cui fu figlio Asa, di cui fu figlio Giòsafat, 11 di cui fu figlio Ioram, di cui fu figlio Acazia, di cui fu figlio Ioas, 12 di cui fu figlio Amazia, di cui fu figlio Azaria, di cui fu figlio Iotam, 13 di cui fu figlio Acaz, di cui fu figlio Ezechia, di cui fu figlio Manàsse, 14 di cui fu figlio Amòn, di cui fu figlio Giosia. 15 Figli di Giosia: Giovanni primogenito, Ioakìm secondo, Sedecìa terzo, Sallùm quarto. 16 Figli di Ioakìm: Ieconia, di cui fu figlio Sedecìa.

17 Figli di Ieconia, il prigioniero: Sealtièl, 18 Malchiràm, Pedaià, Seneazzàr, Iekamià, Hosamà e Nedabia. 19 Figli di Pedaià: Zorobabele e Simei. Figli di Zorobabele: Mesullàm e Anania e Selomìt, loro sorella. 20 Figli di Mesullàm: Casubà, Oel, Berechia, Casadia, Iusab-Chèsed: cinque figli. 21 Figli di Anania: Pelatia, di cui fu figlio Isaia, di cui fu figlio Refaià, di cui fu figlio Arnan, di cui fu figlio Abdia, di cui fu figlio Secania. 22 Figli di Secania: Semaià, Cattùs, Igheal, Barìach, Naaria e Safàt: sei. 23 Figli di Naaria: Elioenài, Ezechia e Azrikàm: tre. 24 Figli di Elioenài: Odavià, Eliasìb, Pelaià, Akub, Giovanni, Delaià e Anani: sette.

De nakomelingen van David
3 Koning Davids oudste zoon was Amnon, die in Hebron ter wereld werd gebracht door zijn vrouw Ahinoam uit Jizreël. De tweede was Daniël, wiens moeder Abigaïl uit Karmel was. 2 De derde was Absalom, de zoon van zijn vrouw Maächa, die een dochter was van koning Talmai van Gesur. De vierde was Adonia, de zoon van zijn vrouw Haggith. 3 De vijfde was Sefatja, de zoon van zijn vrouw Abital. De zesde was Jithream, de zoon van zijn vrouw Egla. 4 Deze zes werden geboren in Hebron, waar koning David zevenenhalf jaar regeerde. Daarna verhuisde hij naar zijn hoofdstad Jeruzalem, waar hij nog eens drieëndertig jaar regeerde. 5 Tijdens zijn verblijf in Jeruzalem bracht zijn vrouw Bathséba, de dochter van Ammiël, haar zonen Simea, Sobab, Nathan en Salomo ter wereld.
6-8 David had bovendien nog negen andere zonen. Dat waren achtereenvolgens: Jibhar, Elisama, Elifelet, Nogah, Nefeg, Jafia, Elisama, Eljada en Elifelet. 9 In deze lijst zijn de zonen van zijn bijvrouwen niet opgenomen. David had ook nog een dochter, Tamar.
10-14 Dit zijn de nakomelingen van koning Salomo: Rehabeam, Abia, Asa, Josafat, Joram, Ahazia, Joas, Amazia, Azaria, Jotham, Achaz, Hizkia, Manasse, Amon en Josia. 15 De zonen van Josia waren: Johanan, de oudste, Jojakim, Zedekia en Sallum. 16 De zonen van Jojakim waren Jechonja en Zedekia.
17,18 Dit zijn de zonen die koning Jechonja kreeg: Assir en zijn zoon Sealthiël, Malchiram, Pedaja, Senassar, Jekamja, Hosama en Nedabja. 19,20 Pedaja was de vader van Zerubbabel en Simi. De kinderen van Zerubbabel waren Mesullam, Hananja, Hasuba, Ohel, Berechja, Hasadja, Jusab-Hesed en een dochter, die Selomit heette. 21 Hananjaʼs zoon was Pelatja, Pelatjaʼs zoon was Jesaja, 22 Jesajaʼs zoon was Refaja, Refajaʼs zoon was Arnan, Arnans zoon was Obadja, Obadjaʼs zoon was Sechanja, Sechanjaʼs zoon was Semaja. Semaja had zes zonen, onder wie Hattus, Jigal, Bariah, Nearja en Safat. 23 Nearja had drie zonen: Eljoënai, Hizkia en Azrikam. 24 Eljoënaiʼs zeven zonen waren Hodajeva, Eljasib, Pelaja, Akkub, Johanan, Delaja en Anani.

The Sons of David(A)(B)
3 These were the sons of David(C) born to him in Hebron:
The firstborn was Amnon the son of Ahinoam(D) of Jezreel;(E)
the second, Daniel the son of Abigail(F) of Carmel;
2 the third, Absalom the son of Maakah daughter of Talmai king of Geshur;
the fourth, Adonijah(G) the son of Haggith;
3 the fifth, Shephatiah the son of Abital;
and the sixth, Ithream, by his wife Eglah.
4 These six were born to David in Hebron,(H) where he reigned seven years and six months.(I)
David reigned in Jerusalem thirty-three years, 5 and these were the children born to him there:
Shammua,[a] Shobab, Nathan and Solomon. These four were by Bathsheba[b](J) daughter of Ammiel. 6 There were also Ibhar, Elishua,[c] Eliphelet, 7 Nogah, Nepheg, Japhia, 8 Elishama, Eliada and Eliphelet—nine in all. 9 All these were the sons of David, besides his sons by his concubines. And Tamar(K) was their sister.(L)

14 Amon(Z) his son,
Josiah(AA) his son.
15 The sons of Josiah:
Johanan the firstborn,
Jehoiakim(AB) the second son,
Zedekiah(AC) the third,
Shallum(AD) the fourth.
16 The successors of Jehoiakim:
and Zedekiah.(AF)

17 The descendants of Jehoiachin the captive:
Shealtiel(AG) his son, 18 Malkiram, Pedaiah, Shenazzar,(AH) Jekamiah, Hoshama and Nedabiah.(AI)
19 The sons of Pedaiah:
Zerubbabel(AJ) and Shimei.
The sons of Zerubbabel:
Meshullam and Hananiah.
Shelomith was their sister.
20 There were also five others:
Hashubah, Ohel, Berekiah, Hasadiah and Jushab-Hesed.
21 The descendants of Hananiah:
Pelatiah and Jeshaiah, and the sons of Rephaiah, of Arnan, of Obadiah and of Shekaniah.
22 The descendants of Shekaniah:
Shemaiah and his sons:
Hattush,(AK) Igal, Bariah, Neariah and Shaphat—six in all.
23 The sons of Neariah:
Elioenai, Hizkiah and Azrikam—three in all.
24 The sons of Elioenai:
Hodaviah, Eliashib, Pelaiah, Akkub, Johanan, Delaiah and Anani—seven in all.
