2 Los hijos de Israel[a] fueron Rubén, Simeón, Leví, Judá, Isacar, Zabulón, 2 Dan, José, Benjamín, Neftalí, Gad y Aser.
Descendientes de Judá
3 Judá tuvo tres hijos con Bet-súa, una mujer cananea. Sus nombres fueron Er, Onán y Sela; pero el Señor vio que Er, el hijo mayor, era un hombre perverso, de manera que le quitó la vida. 4 Tiempo después Judá tuvo mellizos con Tamar, su nuera viuda. Sus nombres fueron Fares y Zera. En total, Judá tuvo cinco hijos.
5 Los hijos de Fares fueron Hezrón y Hamul.
6 Los hijos de Zera fueron Zimri, Etán, Hemán, Calcol y Darda,[b] cinco en total.
7 El hijo de Carmi (un descendiente de Zimri) fue Acán,[c] quien trajo calamidad sobre Israel cuando tomó el botín que había sido apartado para el Señor.[d]
8 El hijo de Etán fue Azarías.

9 Los hijos de Hezrón fueron Jerameel, Ram y Caleb.[e]
10 Ram fue el padre de Aminadab.

Otros descendientes de Hezrón
18 Caleb, hijo de Hezrón, tuvo hijos con Azuba, su esposa, y con Jeriot.[g] Los hijos de ella se llamaban Jeser, Sobab y Ardón. 19 Después de la muerte de Azuba, Caleb se casó con Efrata,[h] y tuvieron un hijo llamado Hur. 20 Hur fue el padre de Uri, y Uri fue el padre de Bezalel.
21 Cuando Hezrón tenía sesenta años de edad se casó con la hermana de Galaad, hija de Maquir, y tuvieron un hijo llamado Segub. 22 Segub fue el padre de Jair, quien gobernó veintitrés ciudades en la tierra de Galaad 23 (pero Gesur y Aram conquistaron las Ciudades de Jair,[i] y también tomaron Kenat y sus sesenta aldeas vecinas). Todos ellos fueron descendientes de Maquir, padre de Galaad.
24 Poco después de la muerte de Hezrón en la ciudad de Caleb-efrata, su esposa Abías dio a luz un hijo llamado Asur (padre de[j] Tecoa).
Descendientes de Jerameel, hijo de Hezrón
25 Los hijos de Jerameel, hijo mayor de Hezrón, fueron Ram (el mayor), Buna, Orén, Ozem y Ahías. 26 Jerameel tuvo una segunda esposa llamada Atara, quien fue la madre de Onam.
27 Los hijos de Ram, el hijo mayor de Jerameel, fueron Maaz, Jamín y Equer.
28 Los hijos de Onam fueron Samai y Jada.
Los hijos de Samai fueron Nadab y Abisur.
29 Los hijos de Abisur y su esposa Abihail fueron Ahbán y Molid.
30 Los hijos de Nadab fueron Seled y Apaim. Seled murió sin hijos, 31 pero Apaim tuvo un hijo llamado Isi. El hijo de Isi fue Sesán, quien tuvo un descendiente llamado Ahlai.
32 Los hijos de Jada, el hermano de Samai, fueron Jeter y Jonatán. Jeter murió sin hijos, 33 pero Jonatán tuvo dos hijos llamados Pelet y Zaza.
Todos ellos fueron descendientes de Jerameel.
34 Sesán no tuvo hijos, aunque sí tuvo hijas. También tuvo un sirviente egipcio llamado Jarha. 35 Sesán le dio a Jarha una de sus hijas como esposa y tuvieron un hijo llamado Atai.
36 Atai fue el padre de Natán.
Natán fue el padre de Zabad.
37 Zabad fue el padre de Eflal.
Eflal fue el padre de Obed.
38 Obed fue el padre de Jehú.
Jehú fue el padre de Azarías.
39 Azarías fue el padre de Heles.
Heles fue el padre de Elasa.
40 Elasa fue el padre de Sismai.
Sismai fue el padre de Salum.
41 Salum fue el padre de Jecamías.
Jecamías fue el padre de Elisama.
Descendientes de Caleb, hijo de Hezrón
42 Entre los descendientes de Caleb, hermano de Jerameel, se encontraba Mesa (el hijo mayor), quien fue el padre de Zif. También entre los descendientes de Caleb estaban los hijos de Maresa, el padre de Hebrón.[k]
43 Los hijos de Hebrón fueron Coré, Tapúa, Requem y Sema. 44 Sema fue el padre de Raham, y Raham fue el padre de Jorcoam. Requem fue el padre de Samai. 45 El hijo de Samai fue Maón, y Maón fue el padre de Bet-sur.
46 La concubina de Caleb, Efa, dio a luz a Harán, a Mosa y a Gazez. Harán fue el padre de Gazez.
47 Los hijos de Jahdai fueron Regem, Jotam, Gesam, Pelet, Efa y Saaf.

Descendientes de Hur, hijo de Caleb
Los hijos de Hur, el hijo mayor de Efrata, la esposa de Caleb, fueron Sobal (el fundador de Quiriat-jearim), 51 Salma (el fundador de Belén) y Haref (el fundador de Bet-gader).
52 Los descendientes de Sobal (el fundador de Quiriat-jearim) fueron Haroe, la mitad de los manahetitas, 53 y las familias de Quiriat-jearim: los itritas, los futitas, los sumatitas y los misraítas, de quienes procedía la gente de Zora y Estaol.
54 Los descendientes de Salma fueron la gente de Belén, los netofatitas, Atrot-bet-joab, la otra mitad de los manahetitas, los zoraítas, 55 y las familias de escribas que vivieron en Jabes: los tirateos, los simeateos y los sucateos. 2 These were the sons of Israel:
Reuben, Simeon, Levi, Judah, Issachar, Zebulun, 2 Dan, Joseph, Benjamin, Naphtali, Gad and Asher.
Judah(B)
To Hezron’s Sons
3 The sons of Judah:(C)
Er, Onan and Shelah.(D) These three were born to him by a Canaanite woman, the daughter of Shua.(E) Er, Judah’s firstborn, was wicked in the Lord’s sight; so the Lord put him to death.(F) 4 Judah’s daughter-in-law(G) Tamar(H) bore Perez(I) and Zerah to Judah. He had five sons in all.
5 The sons of Perez:(J)
Hezron(K) and Hamul.
6 The sons of Zerah:
Zimri, Ethan, Heman, Kalkol and Darda[a]—five in all.
7 The son of Karmi:
Achar,[b](L) who brought trouble on Israel by violating the ban on taking devoted things.[c](M)
8 The son of Ethan:
Azariah.
9 The sons born to Hezron(N) were:
Jerahmeel, Ram and Caleb.[d]
From Ram Son of Hezron
10 Ram(O) was the father of
Amminadab(P), and Amminadab the father of Nahshon,(Q) the leader of the people of Judah. 11 Nahshon was the father of Salmon,[e] Salmon the father of Boaz, 12 Boaz(R) the father of Obed and Obed the father of Jesse.(S)
13 Jesse(T) was the father of
Eliab(U) his firstborn; the second son was Abinadab, the third Shimea, 14 the fourth Nethanel, the fifth Raddai, 15 the sixth Ozem and the seventh David. 16 Their sisters were Zeruiah(V) and Abigail. Zeruiah’s(W) three sons were Abishai, Joab(X) and Asahel. 17 Abigail was the mother of Amasa,(Y) whose father was Jether the Ishmaelite.
Caleb Son of Hezron
18 Caleb son of Hezron had children by his wife Azubah (and by Jerioth). These were her sons: Jesher, Shobab and Ardon. 19 When Azubah died, Caleb(Z) married Ephrath, who bore him Hur. 20 Hur was the father of Uri, and Uri the father of Bezalel.(AA)
21 Later, Hezron, when he was sixty years old, married the daughter of Makir the father of Gilead.(AB) He made love to her, and she bore him Segub. 22 Segub was the father of Jair, who controlled twenty-three towns in Gilead. 23 (But Geshur and Aram captured Havvoth Jair,[f](AC) as well as Kenath(AD) with its surrounding settlements—sixty towns.) All these were descendants of Makir the father of Gilead.
24 After Hezron died in Caleb Ephrathah, Abijah the wife of Hezron bore him Ashhur(AE) the father[g] of Tekoa.
Jerahmeel Son of Hezron
25 The sons of Jerahmeel the firstborn of Hezron:
Ram his firstborn, Bunah, Oren, Ozem and[h] Ahijah. 26 Jerahmeel had another wife, whose name was Atarah; she was the mother of Onam.
27 The sons of Ram the firstborn of Jerahmeel:
Maaz, Jamin and Eker.
28 The sons of Onam:
Shammai and Jada.
The sons of Shammai:
Nadab and Abishur.
29 Abishur’s wife was named Abihail, who bore him Ahban and Molid.
30 The sons of Nadab:
Seled and Appaim. Seled died without children.
31 The son of Appaim:
Ishi, who was the father of Sheshan.
Sheshan was the father of Ahlai.
32 The sons of Jada, Shammai’s brother:
Jether and Jonathan. Jether died without children.
33 The sons of Jonathan:
Peleth and Zaza.
These were the descendants of Jerahmeel.
34 Sheshan had no sons—only daughters.
He had an Egyptian servant named Jarha. 35 Sheshan gave his daughter in marriage to his servant Jarha, and she bore him Attai.
36 Attai was the father of Nathan,
Nathan the father of Zabad,(AF)
37 Zabad the father of Ephlal,
Ephlal the father of Obed,
38 Obed the father of Jehu,
Jehu the father of Azariah,
39 Azariah the father of Helez,
Helez the father of Eleasah,
40 Eleasah the father of Sismai,
Sismai the father of Shallum,
41 Shallum the father of Jekamiah,
and Jekamiah the father of Elishama.
The Clans of Caleb
42 The sons of Caleb(AG) the brother of Jerahmeel:
Mesha his firstborn, who was the father of Ziph, and his son Mareshah,[i] who was the father of Hebron.
43 The sons of Hebron:
Korah, Tappuah, Rekem and Shema. 44 Shema was the father of Raham, and Raham the father of Jorkeam. Rekem was the father of Shammai. 45 The son of Shammai was Maon(AH), and Maon was the father of Beth Zur.(AI)
46 Caleb’s concubine Ephah was the mother of Haran, Moza and Gazez. Haran was the father of Gazez.
47 The sons of Jahdai:
Regem, Jotham, Geshan, Pelet, Ephah and Shaaph.
48 Caleb’s concubine Maakah was the mother of Sheber and Tirhanah. 49 She also gave birth to Shaaph the father of Madmannah(AJ) and to Sheva the father of Makbenah and Gibea. Caleb’s daughter was Aksah.(AK) 50 These were the descendants of Caleb.
The sons of Hur(AL) the firstborn of Ephrathah:
Shobal the father of Kiriath Jearim,(AM) 51 Salma the father of Bethlehem, and Hareph the father of Beth Gader.
52 The descendants of Shobal the father of Kiriath Jearim were:
Haroeh, half the Manahathites, 53 and the clans of Kiriath Jearim: the Ithrites,(AN) Puthites, Shumathites and Mishraites. From these descended the Zorathites and Eshtaolites.
54 The descendants of Salma:
Bethlehem, the Netophathites,(AO) Atroth Beth Joab, half the Manahathites, the Zorites, 55 and the clans of scribes[j] who lived at Jabez: the Tirathites, Shimeathites and Sucathites. These are the Kenites(AP) who came from Hammath,(AQ) the father of the Rekabites.[k](AR)

53 And the families of Kirjathjearim; the Ithrites, and the Puhites, and the Shumathites, and the Mishraites; of them came the Zareathites, and the Eshtaulites,
54 The sons of Salma; Bethlehem, and the Netophathites, Ataroth, the house of Joab, and half of the Manahethites, the Zorites.
55 And the families of the scribes which dwelt at Jabez; the Tirathites, the Shimeathites, and Suchathites. These are the Kenites that came of Hemath, the father of the house of Rechab.
