11 Tularan(A) ninyo ako, gaya ng pagtulad ko kay Cristo.
Pagtatakip sa Ulo Kung Sumasamba
2 Pinupuri ko kayo dahil naaalala ninyo ako at sinusunod ninyo ang mga turo na ibinigay ko sa inyo. 3 Ngunit nais kong maunawaan ninyo na si Cristo ang ulo ng bawat lalaki, ang lalaki ang ulo ng kanyang asawa,[a] at ang Diyos naman ang ulo ni Cristo. 4 Ang lalaking nananalangin o nagpapahayag ng mensaheng mula sa Diyos nang may takip ang ulo ay nagdudulot ng kahihiyan sa kanyang ulo. 5 Ang babae namang nananalangin o nagpapahayag ng mensaheng mula sa Diyos nang walang talukbong ang ulo ay nagdudulot ng kahihiyan sa kanyang ulo, para na rin siyang babaing inahitan ang ulo. 6 Kung ayaw magtalukbong ng ulo ang isang babae, magpagupit na rin siya ng buhok. Yamang kahiya-hiya sa babae ang magpaahit o magpagupit ng buhok, dapat siyang magtalukbong. 7 Hindi(B) dapat magtalukbong ng ulo ang lalaki dahil siya'y larawan at karangalan ng Diyos. Ngunit ang babae ay karangalan ng lalaki, 8 sapagkat(C) hindi mula sa babae ang lalaki, kundi ang babae ay nagmula sa lalaki. 9 At hindi rin nilalang ang lalaki para sa babae, kundi ang babae ay nilalang para sa lalaki. 10 Alang-alang sa mga anghel, dapat magtalukbong ng ulo ang babae bilang tanda na siya'y nasasakop ng kanyang asawa. 11 Gayunman, sa ating buhay sa Panginoon ay kailangan ng babae ang lalaki at kailangan din naman ng lalaki ang babae. 12 Nagmula man sa lalaki ang babae, ang lalaki nama'y isinisilang ng babae, at mula sa Diyos ang lahat.
13 Kayo na ang humatol, angkop ba sa isang babae ang makitang nananalangin nang walang talukbong sa ulo? 14 Hindi ba't kalikasan na rin ang nagtuturo sa inyo na kahiya-hiya sa isang lalaki ang magpahaba ng buhok, 15 ngunit karangalan naman ito ng babae? Sapagkat ibinigay sa kanya ang buhok bilang pantakip sa kanyang ulo. 16 Ngunit kung may gusto pang makipagtalo tungkol dito, ang masasabi ko ay ito: sa pagsamba, wala kaming ibang kaugalian, gayundin ang mga iglesya ng Diyos.
Mga Maling Pagsasagawa ng Banal na Hapunan
17 Tungkol sa mga babanggitin ko ngayon, hindi ko kayo maaaring purihin dahil ang inyong pagtitipon ay hindi nakakabuti, subalit nakakasama. 18 Una sa lahat, nabalitaan ko na kayo'y nagpapangkat-pangkat sa inyong pagtitipon, at ako'y naniniwalang may katotohanan iyan. 19 Talaga namang magkakaroon ng pagkakabaha-bahagi sa inyo upang makilala kung sino sa inyo ang mga tapat. 20 Kaya't sa inyong pagtitipon, hindi Banal na Hapunan ng Panginoon ang kinakain ninyo. 21 Sapagkat ang bawat isa sa inyo'y nagmamadali sa pagkain ng kanyang sariling pagkain, kaya't nagugutom ang iba at ang iba nama'y nalalasing. 22 Wala ba kayong sariling bahay upang doon kumain at uminom? Hindi ba ninyo pinapahalagahan ang iglesya ng Diyos at hinihiya ninyo ang mahihirap? Ano ang gagawin ko ngayon? Pupurihin ko ba kayo dahil sa bagay na iyon? Hinding-hindi ko gagawin iyon!
Ang Banal na Hapunan(D)
23 Sapagkat ito ang turo na tinanggap ko mula sa Panginoon at ibinigay ko naman sa inyo: noong gabing siya'y ipagkanulo, ang Panginoong Jesus ay dumampot ng tinapay, 24 nagpasalamat at pinagpira-piraso iyon, at sinabi, “Ito ang aking katawan na inihahandog para sa inyo. Gawin ninyo ito bilang pag-aalaala sa akin.” 25 Matapos(E) maghapunan, dumampot din siya ng kopa at sinabi, “Ang kopang ito ang bagong tipan na pinagtitibay ng aking dugo. Tuwing iinumin ninyo ito, gawin ninyo bilang pag-aalaala sa akin.” 26 Sapagkat tuwing kakain kayo ng tinapay na ito at iinom sa kopang ito, ipinapahayag ninyo ang kamatayan ng Panginoon hanggang sa kanyang muling pagparito.
27 Kaya, ang sinumang kumakain ng tinapay at umiinom sa kopa ng Panginoon sa paraang di nararapat ay nagkakasala sa katawan at dugo ng Panginoon. 28 Kaya't dapat siyasatin ng tao ang kanyang sarili bago siya kumain ng tinapay at uminom sa kopa. 29 Sapagkat ang sinumang kumakain at umiinom nang hindi kinikilala ang kahalagahan ng katawan ng Panginoon ay kumakain at umiinom ng kahatulan laban sa kanyang sarili. 30 Iyan ang dahilan kung bakit mahihina at sakitin ang marami sa inyo, at may ilan ngang namatay na.[b] 31 Kung sisiyasatin natin ang ating sarili, hindi tayo hahatulan ng Panginoon. 32 Ngunit hinahatulan tayo ng Panginoon dahil itinutuwid niya tayo, upang hindi tayo maparusahang kasama ng sanlibutan.
33 Kaya nga, mga kapatid, kapag nagkakatipon kayo upang kumain, maghintayan kayo. 34 Kung may nagugutom, kumain na muna siya sa bahay upang hindi humantong sa hatol na kaparusahan ang inyong pagtitipon. Tungkol naman sa ibang mga bagay, saka ko na aayusin pagdating ko riyan.

O uso do véu na igreja de Corinto
2 Eu os elogio porque vocês se lembram de mim em tudo e seguem todos os ensinamentos que eu lhes dei. 3 Mas quero que vocês entendam que Cristo é o cabeça sobre todo homem,[a] e o homem é o cabeça sobre a mulher, e Deus é o cabeça sobre Cristo. 4 Todo homem que ora ou profetiza com a sua cabeça coberta, envergonha aquele que é o cabeça sobre ele. 5 Toda mulher que ora ou profetiza, com a cabeça sem véu, envergonha aquele que é o cabeça sobre ela, pois é como a mulher que tem sua cabeça rapada. 6 Portanto, se a mulher não usa véu, é como se tivesse a sua cabeça rapada. Mas desde que é uma vergonha para a mulher cortar todo o seu cabelo, ou rapar sua cabeça, ela deve usar o véu. 7 O homem não deve cobrir a cabeça, porque ele é a imagem de Deus e a glória de Deus. Mas a mulher é a glória do homem. 8 Pois o homem não foi feito da mulher, mas a mulher, feita do homem. 9 E o homem não foi criado por causa da mulher, mas a mulher foi criada por causa do homem. 10 Portanto, a mulher deve trazer um véu na cabeça para mostrar que ela está debaixo de autoridade,[b] e também por causa dos anjos.
11 No Senhor, porém, nem a mulher é independente do homem, e nem o homem é independente da mulher. 12 Porque como a mulher foi feita do homem, assim também o homem nasce da mulher. E tudo vem de Deus. 13 Julguem vocês mesmos: É certo uma mulher orar a Deus sem ter o véu na cabeça? 14 Até a própria natureza ensina que é uma vergonha para o homem ter cabelo comprido. 15 Mas para a mulher, o cabelo comprido é uma glória, pois o seu cabelo lhe foi dado para cobrir a cabeça. 16 Algumas pessoas talvez queiram discutir sobre o que eu acabei de dizer. Mas o costume que nós e as outras igrejas de Deus seguimos é o seguinte: as mulheres podem orar ou profetizar as mensagens vindas de Deus desde que estejam com as suas cabeças cobertas.
A Ceia do Senhor
17 Naquilo que vou lhes dizer agora, eu não os elogio, porquanto as reuniões de vocês fazem mais mal do que bem. 18 Em primeiro lugar, ouvi dizer que há muitas divisões entre vocês quando se reúnem como igreja. E eu, até certo ponto, acredito nisso. 19 (Não há dúvida de que é necessário que haja partidos entre vocês, para que aqueles que são aprovados entre vocês se tornem conhecidos!) 20 Quando vocês se reúnem, não é a Ceia do Senhor[c] que vocês comem. 21 Pois quando comem, cada pessoa come sua própria ceia, sem esperar pelos outros. E há aqueles que ficam sem comida, enquanto outros ficam bêbados. 22 Vocês não têm casas onde comer e beber? Dessa forma vocês fazem pouco da igreja de Deus e envergonham aqueles que são pobres! O que vou dizer a vocês? Vou elogiá-los pelo que fazem? Com certeza nisto eu não os elogio.
23 O ensino que eu lhes dei é o mesmo que recebi do Senhor: na noite em que Jesus foi traído, ele pegou o pão 24 e agradeceu a Deus por ele. Depois partiu o pão e disse: “Isto é o meu corpo, que é dado a favor de vocês. Façam isto para se lembrar de mim”. 25 Do mesmo modo, depois de ter comido, Jesus pegou o cálice do vinho e disse: “Este cálice é a nova aliança feita por Deus com o seu povo, e esta nova aliança começa por meio do meu sangue. Cada vez que vocês beberem deste cálice, façam isto para se lembrar de mim”. 26 Todas as vezes que vocês comerem este pão e beberem deste cálice, vocês anunciam a morte do Senhor. Façam isto até que ele volte.
27 Por isso, se alguém comer o pão ou beber do cálice do Senhor de maneira imprópria, peca contra o corpo e o sangue do Senhor. 28 Cada pessoa deve examinar a si mesma antes de comer o pão e beber do cálice. 29 Porque se alguém comer o pão e beber do cálice sem reconhecer o significado do corpo do Senhor, come e bebe para a sua própria condenação. 30 Esta é a razão pela qual muitos do grupo de vocês estão doentes e fracos, e muitos outros já morreram. 31 Mas se nós examinássemos a nós mesmos, o Senhor não nos julgaria. 32 Mas quando o Senhor nos julga, ele nos disciplina para não sermos condenados com o mundo.
33 Portanto, irmãos, quando vocês se reunirem para comer, esperem uns pelos outros. 34 Se alguém estiver com fome, deve comer em casa. Façam isto para que as reuniões de vocês não tragam a condenação de Deus sobre vocês.
A respeito das outras coisas, eu darei instruções para vocês quando chegar aí.

11 Imitate(A) me, just as I also imitate Christ.
Head Coverings
2 Now I praise you, brethren, that you remember me in all things and keep the traditions just as I delivered them to you. 3 But I want you to know that (B)the head of every man is Christ, (C)the head of woman is man, and (D)the head of Christ is God. 4 Every man praying or (E)prophesying, having his head covered, dishonors his head. 5 But every woman who prays or prophesies with her head uncovered dishonors her head, for that is one and the same as if her head were (F)shaved. 6 For if a woman is not covered, let her also be shorn. But if it is (G)shameful for a woman to be shorn or shaved, let her be covered. 7 For a man indeed ought not to cover his head, since (H)he is the image and glory of God; but woman is the glory of man. 8 For man is not from woman, but woman (I)from man. 9 Nor was man created for the woman, but woman (J)for the man. 10 For this reason the woman ought to have a symbol of authority on her head, because of the angels. 11 Nevertheless, (K)neither is man independent of woman, nor woman independent of man, in the Lord. 12 For as woman came from man, even so man also comes through woman; but all things are from God.
13 Judge among yourselves. Is it proper for a woman to pray to God with her head uncovered? 14 Does not even nature itself teach you that if a man has long hair, it is a dishonor to him? 15 But if a woman has long hair, it is a glory to her; for her hair is given [a]to her for a covering. 16 But (L)if anyone seems to be contentious, we have no such custom, (M)nor do the churches of God.
Conduct at the Lord’s Supper
17 Now in giving these instructions I do not praise you, since you come together not for the better but for the worse. 18 For first of all, when you come together as a church, (N)I hear that there are divisions among you, and in part I believe it. 19 For (O)there must also be factions among you, (P)that those who are approved may be [b]recognized among you. 20 Therefore when you come together in one place, it is not to eat the Lord’s Supper. 21 For in eating, each one takes his own supper ahead of others; and one is hungry and (Q)another is drunk. 22 What! Do you not have houses to eat and drink in? Or do you despise (R)the church of God and (S)shame [c]those who have nothing? What shall I say to you? Shall I praise you in this? I do not praise you.
Institution of the Lord’s Supper(T)
23 For (U)I received from the Lord that which I also delivered to you: (V)that the Lord Jesus on the same night in which He was betrayed took bread; 24 and when He had given thanks, He broke it and said, [d]“Take, eat; this is My body which is [e]broken for you; do this in remembrance of Me.” 25 In the same manner He also took the cup after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood. This do, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me.”
26 For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death (W)till He comes.
Examine Yourself
27 Therefore whoever eats (X)this bread or drinks this cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of the body and [f]blood of the Lord. 28 But (Y)let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of the bread and drink of the cup. 29 For he who eats and drinks [g]in an unworthy manner eats and drinks judgment to himself, not discerning the [h]Lord’s body. 30 For this reason many are weak and sick among you, and many [i]sleep. 31 For (Z)if we would judge ourselves, we would not be judged. 32 But when we are judged, (AA)we are chastened by the Lord, that we may not be condemned with the world.
33 Therefore, my brethren, when you (AB)come together to eat, wait for one another. 34 But if anyone is hungry, let him eat at home, lest you come together for judgment. And the rest I will set in order when I come.
