23 Porque yo recibí del Señor lo mismo que os he enseñado[a](A): que (B)el Señor Jesús, la noche en que fue entregado, tomó pan, 24 y después de dar gracias, lo partió y dijo: Esto es mi cuerpo que es[b] para vosotros; haced esto en memoria de mí. 25 De la misma manera tomó también la copa después de haber cenado, diciendo: Esta copa es el nuevo pacto(C) en mi sangre(D); haced esto cuantas veces la bebáis en memoria de mí. 26 Porque todas las veces que comáis este pan y bebáis esta copa, la muerte del Señor proclamáis hasta que Él venga(E). 27 De manera que el que coma el pan o beba la copa del Señor indignamente, será culpable del cuerpo y de la sangre del Señor(F). 28 Por tanto, examínese cada uno[c] a sí mismo(G), y entonces coma del pan y beba de la copa. 29 Porque el que come y bebe sin discernir correctamente el cuerpo del Señor, come y bebe juicio para sí. 30 Por esta razón hay muchos débiles y enfermos entre vosotros, y muchos duermen[d](H).

23 For I received from the Lord(A) what I also passed on to you:(B) The Lord Jesus, on the night he was betrayed, took bread, 24 and when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, “This is my body,(C) which is for you; do this in remembrance of me.” 25 In the same way, after supper he took the cup, saying, “This cup is the new covenant(D) in my blood;(E) do this, whenever you drink it, in remembrance of me.” 26 For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes.(F)
27 So then, whoever eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of sinning against the body and blood of the Lord.(G) 28 Everyone ought to examine themselves(H) before they eat of the bread and drink from the cup. 29 For those who eat and drink without discerning the body of Christ eat and drink judgment on themselves. 30 That is why many among you are weak and sick, and a number of you have fallen asleep.(I)
