³³ Do not be deceived:

⁴ Jesus answered them, “Beware that no one leads you astray.^(A)

⁶ Your boasting is not a good thing. Do you not know that a little yeast leavens all of the dough?^(A)

¹⁶ Avoid profane chatter, for it will lead people^[a] into more and more impiety,^{(A) 17} and their talk will spread like gangrene. Among them are Hymenaeus and Philetus,^{(B) 18} who have swerved from the truth, saying resurrection^[b] has already occurred. They are upsetting the faith of some.^(C)

⁶ Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes on those who are disobedient.^[a](A)

⁷ Do not be deceived; God is not mocked, for you reap whatever you sow.^(A)

⁹ Do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived! The sexually immoral, idolaters, adulterers, male prostitutes,^[a] men who engage in illicit sex,^[b](A)
