I will establish his kingdom permanently, if he remains committed to obeying my commands and regulations, as you are doing this day.’[a] So now, in the sight of all Israel, the Lord’s assembly, and in the hearing of our God, I say this:[b] Carefully observe[c] all the commands of the Lord your God, so that you may possess this good land and may leave it as a permanent inheritance for your children after you.

“And you, Solomon my son, obey[d] the God of your father and serve him with a submissive attitude and a willing spirit,[e] for the Lord examines all minds and understands every motive of one’s thoughts. If you seek him, he will let you find him,[f] but if you abandon him, he will reject you permanently.

Now therefore in the sight of all Israel the congregation of the Lord, and in the audience of our God, keep and seek for all the commandments of the Lord your God: that ye may possess this good land, and leave it for an inheritance for your children after you for ever.

And thou, Solomon my son, know thou the God of thy father, and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind: for the Lord searcheth all hearts, and understandeth all the imaginations of the thoughts: if thou seek him, he will be found of thee; but if thou forsake him, he will cast thee off for ever.
