The Divisions of the Priests
24 The divisions of the descendants of Aaron were as follows: Aaron’s sons were Nadab, Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar.(A) 2 But Nadab and Abihu died before their father, and they had no sons, so Eleazar and Ithamar served as priests.(B) 3 Together with Zadok(C) from the descendants of Eleazar and Ahimelech from the descendants of Ithamar, David divided them according to the assigned duties of their service. 4 Since more leaders were found among Eleazar’s descendants than Ithamar’s, they were divided accordingly: sixteen heads of ancestral families[a] were from Eleazar’s descendants, and eight heads of ancestral families were from Ithamar’s. 5 They(D) were assigned by lot, for there were officers of the sanctuary and officers of God among both Eleazar’s and Ithamar’s descendants.
6 The secretary, Shemaiah son of Nethanel, a Levite, recorded them in the presence of the king and the officers, the priest Zadok, Ahimelech(E) son of Abiathar, and the heads of families of the priests and the Levites. One ancestral family[b] was taken for Eleazar, and then one for Ithamar.
7 The first lot fell to Jehoiarib, the second to Jedaiah,
8 the third to Harim, the fourth to Seorim,
9 the fifth to Malchijah, the sixth to Mijamin,
10 the seventh to Hakkoz, the eighth to Abijah,(F)
11 the ninth to Jeshua, the tenth to Shecaniah,
12 the eleventh to Eliashib, the twelfth to Jakim,
13 the thirteenth to Huppah, the fourteenth to Jeshebeab,
14 the fifteenth to Bilgah, the sixteenth to Immer,
15 the seventeenth to Hezir, the eighteenth to Happizzez,
16 the nineteenth to Pethahiah, the twentieth to Jehezkel,
17 the twenty-first to Jachin, the twenty-second to Gamul,
18 the twenty-third to Delaiah, and the twenty-fourth to Maaziah.
19 These had their assigned duties for service when they entered the Lord’s temple, according to their regulations, which they received from their ancestor Aaron, as the Lord God of Israel had commanded him.
The Rest of the Levites
20 As for the rest of Levi’s sons:
from Amram’s sons: Shubael;
from Shubael’s sons: Jehdeiah.
21 From Rehabiah:
from Rehabiah’s sons: Isshiah was the first.
22 From the Izharites: Shelomoth;
from Shelomoth’s sons: Jahath.
Jeriah the first, Amariah the second,
Jahaziel the third, and Jekameam the fourth.
24 From Uzziel’s sons: Micah;
from Micah’s sons: Shamir.
25 Micah’s brother: Isshiah;
from Isshiah’s sons: Zechariah.
26 Merari’s sons: Mahli and Mushi,
and from his sons, Jaaziah his son.[d]
27 Merari’s sons, by his son Jaaziah:[e]
Shoham, Zaccur, and Ibri.
28 From Mahli: Eleazar, who had no sons.
29 From Kish, from Kish’s sons: Jerahmeel.
30 Mushi’s sons: Mahli, Eder, and Jerimoth.
Those were the descendants of the Levites according to their ancestral families.[f] 31 They also cast lots the same way as their relatives the descendants of Aaron did in the presence of King David, Zadok, Ahimelech, and the heads of the families of the priests and Levites—the family heads and their younger brothers alike.(H)

7 Den första lotten föll på Jojarib, den andra på Jedaja, 8 den tredje på Harim, den fjärde på Seorim, 9 den femte på Malkia, den sjätte på Mijamin, 10 (D) den sjunde på Hackos, den åttonde på Abia, 11 den nionde på Jeshua, den tionde på Shekanja, 12 den elfte på Eljashib, den tolfte på Jakim, 13 den trettonde på Huppa, den fjortonde på Jeshebab, 14 den femtonde på Bilga, den sextonde på Immer, 15 den sjuttonde på Hesir, den artonde på Happisses, 16 den nittonde på Petaja, den tjugonde på Hesekiel, 17 den tjugoförsta på Jakin, den tjugoandra på Gamul, 18 den tjugotredje på Delaja, den tjugofjärde på Maasja.
19 Detta blev den ordning, i vilken de skulle tjänstgöra, när de gick in i Herrens hus, som det var föreskrivet för dem genom deras fader Aron efter den befallning Herren, Israels Gud, hade gett honom.

26 Meraris barn var Mahli och Mushi. Jaasjas son var Beno. 27 Meraris barn var dessa: Av Jaasia Beno, dessutom Shoham, Sackur och Ibri. 28 Mahlis son var Eleasar, men han hade inga söner. 29 Till Kish, alltså Kishs barn, hörde Jerameel. 30 Men Mushis barn var Mahli, Eder och Jerimot.
Dessa var leviternas barn, efter deras familjer.
31 (F) Dessa kastade också lott, liksom deras bröder, Arons söner, i närvaro av kung David, Sadok, Ahimelek och huvudmännen för prästernas och leviternas familjer, huvudmännen för familjerna liksom deras yngsta bröder.

thăm thứ mười sáu trúng Im-me,
15 thăm thứ mười bảy trúng Hê-xia,
thăm thứ mười tám trúng Ha-pi-xê,
16 thăm thứ mười chín trúng Pê-tha-hi-a,
thăm thứ hai mươi trúng Giê-hê-kên,
17 thăm thứ hai mươi mốt trúng Gia-kin,
thăm thứ hai mươi hai trúng Gia-mun,
18 thăm thứ hai mươi ba trúng Ðê-la-gia,
thăm thứ hai mươi bốn trúng Ma-a-xi-a.
19 Ðó là thứ tự của họ để được vào phục vụ trong nhà Chúa theo như quy luật do A-rôn tổ phụ của họ đã định cho họ, mà Chúa, Ðức Chúa Trời của I-sơ-ra-ên, đã truyền cho ông.

23 Trong các con của Hếp-rôn có Giê-ri-a làm thủ lãnh,[a] A-ma-ri-a thứ nhì, Gia-ha-xi-ên thứ ba, Giê-ca-mê-am thứ tư.
24 Trong các con của U-xi-ên có Mi-ca; trong các con của Mi-ca có Sa-mia. 25 Trong dòng họ của Mi-ca có I-si-a; trong các con của I-si-a có Xa-cha-ri-a.
26 Trong các con của Mê-ra-ri có Ma-li và Mu-si.
Trong các con của Gia-a-xi-a có Bê-nô.[b]
27 Trong các con của Mê-ra-ri có Gia-a-xi-a, Bê-nô,[c] Sô-ham, Xác-cua, và Íp-ri.
28 Về dòng dõi của Ma-hi có Ê-lê-a-xa, ông không có con trai kế tự.
29 Về dòng dõi Kích: trong các con của Kích có Giê-ra-mê-ên.
30 Trong các con của Mu-si có Ma-hi, Ê-đe, và Giê-ri-mốt. Ðó là các con cháu của người Lê-vi, theo gia phả trong gia tộc họ.

24 Now these are the divisions of the sons of Aaron. The sons of Aaron; Nadab, and Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar.
2 But Nadab and Abihu died before their father, and had no children: therefore Eleazar and Ithamar executed the priest's office.
3 And David distributed them, both Zadok of the sons of Eleazar, and Ahimelech of the sons of Ithamar, according to their offices in their service.
4 And there were more chief men found of the sons of Eleazar than of the sons of Ithamar, and thus were they divided. Among the sons of Eleazar there were sixteen chief men of the house of their fathers, and eight among the sons of Ithamar according to the house of their fathers.
5 Thus were they divided by lot, one sort with another; for the governors of the sanctuary, and governors of the house of God, were of the sons of Eleazar, and of the sons of Ithamar.
6 And Shemaiah the son of Nethaneel the scribe, one of the Levites, wrote them before the king, and the princes, and Zadok the priest, and Ahimelech the son of Abiathar, and before the chief of the fathers of the priests and Levites: one principal household being taken for Eleazar, and one taken for Ithamar.

24 These were the divisions(A) of the descendants of Aaron:(B)
The sons of Aaron were Nadab, Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar.(C) 2 But Nadab and Abihu died before their father did,(D) and they had no sons; so Eleazar and Ithamar served as the priests. 3 With the help of Zadok(E) a descendant of Eleazar and Ahimelek a descendant of Ithamar, David separated them into divisions for their appointed order of ministering. 4 A larger number of leaders were found among Eleazar’s descendants than among Ithamar’s, and they were divided accordingly: sixteen heads of families from Eleazar’s descendants and eight heads of families from Ithamar’s descendants. 5 They divided them impartially by casting lots,(F) for there were officials of the sanctuary and officials of God among the descendants of both Eleazar and Ithamar.
6 The scribe Shemaiah son of Nethanel, a Levite, recorded their names in the presence of the king and of the officials: Zadok the priest, Ahimelek(G) son of Abiathar and the heads of families of the priests and of the Levites—one family being taken from Eleazar and then one from Ithamar.

from Jaaziah: Beno, Shoham, Zakkur and Ibri.
28 From Mahli: Eleazar, who had no sons.
29 From Kish: the son of Kish:
Jerahmeel.
30 And the sons of Mushi: Mahli, Eder and Jerimoth.
These were the Levites, according to their families. 31 They also cast lots,(Q) just as their relatives the descendants of Aaron did, in the presence of King David and of Zadok, Ahimelek, and the heads of families of the priests and of the Levites. The families of the oldest brother were treated the same as those of the youngest.
