¹¹King David also dedicated these to the Lord, with the silver and the gold which he had carried away from all the nations: from Edom, Moab, the sons of Ammon, the Philistines, and from Amalek.

¹²Moreover, Abishai the son of Zeruiah ^[a]defeated eighteen thousand Edomites in the Valley of Salt. ¹³Then he put garrisons in Edom, and all the Edomites became servants to David. And the Lord helped David wherever he went.

¹¹Them also king David dedicated unto the Lord, with the silver and the gold that he brought from all these nations; from Edom, and from Moab, and from the children of Ammon, and from the Philistines, and from Amalek.

¹¹King David dedicated these articles to the Lord, as he had done with the silver and gold he had taken from all these nations: Edom^(A) and Moab, the Ammonites and the Philistines, and Amalek.^(B)

¹²Abishai son of Zeruiah struck down eighteen thousand Edomites^(C) in the Valley of Salt. ¹³He put garrisons in Edom, and all the Edomites became subject to David. The Lord gave David victory wherever he went.
