1 Chronicles 11:20-22

²⁰^(A)Abishai the brother of Joab was chief of another ^[a]three. He had lifted up his spear against three hundred men, killed them, and won a name among these three. ²¹^(B)Of the three he was more honored than the other two men. Therefore he became their captain. However he did not attain to the first three.

²²Benaiah was the son of Jehoiada, the son of a valiant man from Kabzeel, who ^[b]had done many deeds. ^(C)He had killed two lion-like heroes of Moab. He also had gone down and killed a lion in the midst of a pit on a snowy day.

²²Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, the son of a valiant man of Kabzeel, who had done many acts; he slew two lionlike men of Moab: also he went down and slew a lion in a pit in a snowy day.

²⁰As for ^[a]Abshai the brother of Joab, he was chief of the ^[b]thirty, and he wielded his spear against three hundred ^[c]and killed them; and he had a name ^[d]as well as the ^[e]thirty. ²¹Of the three in the second rank he was the most honored, and he became their commander; however, he did not attain the reputation of the first three.

²²^(A)Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, the son of a warrior of Kabzeel, mighty in deeds, struck and killed the ^[f]two sons of Ariel of Moab. He also went down and struck and killed a lion inside a pit on a snowy day.
