6 Ако някой от вас има спор с друг човек, защо се осмелява да се обръща към съда на грешниците вместо към Божиите святи хора? 2 Или не знаете, че Божиите святи хора ще съдят света? А след като вие ще съдите света, нима не сте достойни да отсъдите относно най-незначителни въпроси? 3 Не знаете ли, че ще съдим дори и ангелите? А какво остава за обикновените житейски неща! 4 Затова, когато имате обикновени житейски спорове, не давайте правосъдието в ръцете на хора, които нямат думата в църквата. 5 Казвам това, за да се засрамите. Нима няма сред вас някой мъдър човек, който да разреши споровете между двама братя, 6 та става така, че един брат се съди с друг, и то пред невярващи?
7 Всъщност вече сте победени, щом се съдите един друг. Защо вместо това не оставите да извършат неправда към вас? Защо не оставите да ви ограбят? 8 Напротив: самите вие вършите неправди и ограбвате, и при това своите братя и сестри в Христос!
9 Нима не знаете, че хората, които вършат зло, няма да наследят Божието царство? Не се заблуждавайте! Няма да го наследят нито онези, които вършат сексуални грехове, нито идолопоклонниците, нито прелюбодейците, нито мъжете, които позволяват да бъдат използвани за хомосексуални връзки, нито мъжете, които практикуват хомосексуализъм, 10 нито крадците, нито алчните, нито пияниците, нито клеветниците, нито измамниците. 11 А такива бяха някои от вас, но бяхте очистени, бяхте отделени за служба на Бога и станахте праведни в името на Господ Исус Христос и чрез Духа на нашия Бог.
Прославете Бога с телата си
12 „Всичко ми е позволено“, но не всичко е полезно. Да, „всичко ми е позволено“, но няма да позволя на нищо да ме владее. 13 „Храната е за стомаха и стомахът е за храната“ — това е вярно, но Бог ще сложи край и на едното, и на другото. Нашите тела не са за сексуални грехове, а за да служим на Господа, и Господ е за телата ни. 14 Бог не само възкреси Господа, но чрез своята власт ще възкреси и нас. 15 Не знаете ли, че телата ви са части на Христос? Нима ще взема това, което е част на Христос, и ще го свържа с проститутка? В никакъв случай! 16 Или не знаете, че този, който се свързва физически с проститутка, става едно цяло с нея? Писанието казва: „Двамата ще станат едно цяло.“(A) 17 А този, който се свързва с Господа, се слива в един дух с него.
18 Бягайте от сексуалния грях. 6 Kapag ang sinuman sa inyo ay may reklamo laban sa isang kapatid, mangangahas ba siyang magsakdal sa harapan ng mga masasama at hindi sa harapan ng mga banal?
2 Hindi ba ninyo nalalaman na ang mga banal ay hahatol sa sanlibutan? At kung ang sanlibutan ay hahatulan ninyo, wala ba kayong kakayahang humatol sa napakaliliit na bagay?
3 Hindi ba ninyo nalalaman na ating hahatulan ang mga anghel? Gaano pa kaya ang mga bagay na may kinalaman sa buhay na ito?
4 Kung kayo nga'y mayroong usapin tungkol sa mga bagay ng buhay na ito, itinatalaga ba ninyong hukom ang mga taong maliit lamang ang pagkilala ng iglesya?
5 Sinasabi ko ito upang mapahiya kayo. Wala bang kahit isa mang tao sa inyo na marunong na may kakayahang magpasiya sa kanyang mga kapatid,
6 kundi ang isang kapatid na nagdedemanda laban sa kapatid, at ito'y sa harapan ng mga hindi mananampalataya?
7 Sa katunayan, ang magkaroon kayo ng usapin laban sa isa't-isa ay isa nang pagkatalo para sa inyo. Bakit hindi ninyo hayaan na lamang na kayo'y gawan ng masama? Bakit hindi na lamang kayo padaya?
8 Ngunit kayo mismo ang gumagawa ng masama at nandaraya at ito'y sa inyong mga kapatid.
9 Hindi ba ninyo nalalaman na ang mga masasamang tao ay hindi magmamana ng kaharian ng Diyos? Huwag kayong padaya! Ang mga mapakiapid, mga sumasamba sa diyus-diyosan, mga mangangalunya, mga binabae, mga nakikiapid sa kapwa lalaki,
10 mga magnanakaw, masasakim, mga maglalasing, mga mapagmura, o ang mga manggagantso ay hindi magmamana ng kaharian ng Diyos.
11 At ganyan ang mga ilan sa inyo noon. Subalit nahugasan na kayo, ginawa na kayong banal, at inaring-ganap na kayo sa pangalan ng Panginoong Jesu-Cristo, at sa Espiritu ng ating Diyos.
12 “Ang(A) lahat ng mga bagay para sa akin ay matuwid;” ngunit hindi lahat ng mga bagay ay makakatulong. “Ang lahat ng mga bagay para sa akin ay matuwid,” ngunit hindi ako paaalipin sa anuman.
13 “Ang pagkain ay para sa tiyan, at ang tiyan ay para sa pagkain,” ngunit ito at ang mga iyon ay wawasakin ng Diyos. Gayunman ang katawan ay hindi para sa pakikiapid, kundi para sa Panginoon, at ang Panginoon ay para sa katawan.
14 At binuhay ng Diyos ang Panginoon at bubuhayin din tayo sa pamamagitan ng kanyang kapangyarihan.
15 Hindi ba ninyo nalalaman na ang inyong mga katawan ay mga sangkap ni Cristo? Kukunin ko ba ang mga sangkap ni Cristo at gagawin kong mga sangkap ng isang masamang babae? Huwag nawang mangyari.
16 Hindi(B) ba ninyo nalalaman na ang nakikisama sa masamang babae ay nagiging iisang katawan na kasama niya? Sapagkat sinasabi, “Ang dalawa ay magiging isang laman.”
17 Ngunit siya na nakikisama sa Panginoon ay nagiging iisang espiritu na kasama niya.
18 Umiwas kayo sa pakikiapid. Bawat kasalanang maaaring gawin ng tao ay nasa labas ng katawan; ngunit ang gumagawa ng pakikiapid ay nagkakasala laban sa kanyang sariling katawan.
19 O(C) hindi ba ninyo nalalaman na ang inyong katawan ay templo ng Espiritu Santo na nasa inyo, na tinanggap ninyo mula sa Diyos, at kayo ay hindi sa inyong sarili?
20 Sapagkat kayo'y binili sa isang halaga, kaya't luwalhatiin ninyo ng inyong katawan ang Diyos.

Going to Court Against Christians
6 Why do you go to court when you have something against another Christian? You are asking people who are not Christians to judge who is guilty. You should go to those who belong to Christ and ask them. 2 Did you not know that those who belong to Christ will someday judge this world? If you judge the people of the world as guilty, are you not able to do this in small things? 3 Did you not know that we are to judge angels? So you should be able to take care of your problem here in this world without any trouble.
4 When you have things to decide about this life, why do you go to men in courts who are not even Christians? 5 You should be ashamed! Is it true that there is not one person wise enough in your church to decide who is right when people argue? 6 Instead, one Christian takes another Christian to court. And that court is made up of people who are not Christians! 7 This shows you are wrong when you have to go to court against each other. Would it not be better to let someone do something against you that is wrong? Would it not be better to let them rob you? 8 Instead, you rob and do wrong to other Christians.
The Body Is to Be Holy
9 Do you not know that sinful men will have no place in the holy nation of God? Do not be fooled. A person who does sex sins, or who worships false gods, or who is not faithful in marriage, or men who act like women, or people who do sex sins with their own sex, will have no place in the holy nation of God. 10 Also those who steal, or those who always want to get more of everything, or who get drunk, or who say bad things about others, or take things that are not theirs, will have no place in the holy nation of God. 11 Some of you were like that. But now your sins are washed away. You were set apart for God-like living to do His work. You were made right with God through our Lord Jesus Christ by the Spirit of our God.
12 I am allowed to do all things, but not everything is good for me to do! Even if I am free to do all things, I will not do them if I think it would be hard for me to stop when I know I should. 13 Food was meant for the stomach. The stomach needs food, but God will bring to an end both food and the stomach. The body was not meant for sex sins. It was meant to work for the Lord. The Lord is for our body. 14 God raised the Lord from death. He will raise us from death by His power also.
The Body Belongs to the Lord
15 Do you not know that your bodies are a part of Christ Himself? Am I to take a part of Christ and make it a part of a woman who sells the use of her body? No! Never! 16 Do you not know that a man who joins himself to a woman who sells the use of her body becomes a part of her? The Holy Writings say, “The two will become one.” 17 But if you join yourself to the Lord, you are one with Him in spirit.
18 Have nothing to do with sex sins! Any other sin that a man does, does not hurt his own body. But the man who does a sex sin sins against his own body. 19 Do you not know that your body is a house of God where the Holy Spirit lives? God gave you His Holy Spirit. Now you belong to God. You do not belong to yourselves. 20 God bought you with a great price. So honor God with your body. You belong to Him.

Lawsuits Among Believers
6 If any of you has a dispute with another, do you dare to take it before the ungodly for judgment instead of before the Lord’s people?(A) 2 Or do you not know that the Lord’s people will judge the world?(B) And if you are to judge the world, are you not competent to judge trivial cases? 3 Do you not know that we will judge angels? How much more the things of this life! 4 Therefore, if you have disputes about such matters, do you ask for a ruling from those whose way of life is scorned in the church? 5 I say this to shame you.(C) Is it possible that there is nobody among you wise enough to judge a dispute between believers?(D) 6 But instead, one brother(E) takes another to court—and this in front of unbelievers!(F)
7 The very fact that you have lawsuits among you means you have been completely defeated already. Why not rather be wronged? Why not rather be cheated?(G) 8 Instead, you yourselves cheat and do wrong, and you do this to your brothers and sisters.(H) 9 Or do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God?(I) Do not be deceived:(J) Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers(K) nor men who have sex with men[a](L) 10 nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers(M) will inherit the kingdom of God. 11 And that is what some of you were.(N) But you were washed,(O) you were sanctified,(P) you were justified(Q) in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.
Sexual Immorality
12 “I have the right to do anything,” you say—but not everything is beneficial.(R) “I have the right to do anything”—but I will not be mastered by anything. 13 You say, “Food for the stomach and the stomach for food, and God will destroy them both.”(S) The body, however, is not meant for sexual immorality but for the Lord,(T) and the Lord for the body. 14 By his power God raised the Lord from the dead,(U) and he will raise us also.(V) 15 Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ himself?(W) Shall I then take the members of Christ and unite them with a prostitute? Never! 16 Do you not know that he who unites himself with a prostitute is one with her in body? For it is said, “The two will become one flesh.”[b](X) 17 But whoever is united with the Lord is one with him in spirit.[c](Y)
18 Flee from sexual immorality.(Z) All other sins a person commits are outside the body, but whoever sins sexually, sins against their own body.(AA) 19 Do you not know that your bodies are temples(AB) of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own;(AC) 20 you were bought at a price.(AD) Therefore honor God with your bodies.(AE)
