16 Or io vi raccomando Febe, nostra sorella, che è diaconessa della chiesa che è in Cencrea,
2 affinché l'accogliate nel Signore, come si conviene ai santi, assistendola in qualunque cosa avrà bisogno di voi, perché ella ha prestato assistenza a molti e anche a me stesso.
3 Salutate Priscilla ed Aquila miei compagni d'opera in Cristo Gesú,
4 i quali hanno rischiato la loro testa per la mia vita; a loro non solo io, ma anche tutte le chiese dei gentili rendono grazie.
5 Salutate anche la chiesa che è in casa loro; salutate il mio caro Epeneto il quale è la primizia dell'Acaia in Cristo.
6 Salutate Maria, la quale si è molto affaticata per noi.
7 Salutate Andronico e Giunia, miei parenti e compagni di prigione, i quali sono segnalati fra gli apostoli, e anche sono stati in Cristo prima di me.
8 Salutate Amplia, mio diletto nel Signore.
9 Salutate Urbano, nostro compagno d'opera in Cristo, e il mio caro Stachi.
10 Salutate Apelle, che è approvato in Cristo. Salutate quelli della casa di Aristobulo.
11 Salutate Erodione, mio parente. Salutate quelli della casa di Narcisso che sono nel Signore.
12 Salutate Trifena e Trifosa, che si affaticano nel Signore. Salutate la cara Perside, che si è molto affaticata nel Signore.
13 Salutate Rufo, che è eletto nel Signore, e sua madre che è pure mia.
14 Salutate Asincrito, Flegonte, Erma Patroba, Erme e i fratelli che sono con loro.
15 Salutate Filologo, Giulia, Nereo e sua sorella Olimpa, e tutti i santi che sono con loro.
16 Salutatevi gli uni gli altri con un santo bacio; le chiese di Cristo vi salutano.
17 Or io vi esorto, fratelli, a guardarvi da quelli che fomentano le divisioni e gli scandali contro la dottrina che avete appreso, e ritiratevi da loro;
18 costoro infatti non servono il nostro Signore Gesú Cristo ma il proprio ventre, e con dolce e lusinghevole parlare seducono i cuori dei semplici.
19 La vostra ubbidienza infatti si è divulgata fra tutti; io mi rallegro quindi per voi; or io desidero che siate savi nel bene e semplici nel male.
20 Ora il Dio della pace schiaccerà presto Satana sotto i vostri piedi. La grazia del Signore nostro Gesú Cristo sia con voi. Amen.
21 Timoteo, mio compagno d'opera, Lucio, Giasone e Sosipatro, miei parenti, vi salutano.
22 Io, Terzio, che ho scritto questa epistola, vi saluto nel Signore.
23 Gaio, che ospita me e tutta la chiesa, vi saluta. Erasto, il tesoriere della città e il fratello Quarto vi salutano.
24 La grazia del Signor nostro Gesú Cristo sia con tutti voi. Amen.
25 Or a colui che vi può raffermare secondo il mio evangelo e la predicazione di Gesú Cristo, secondo la rivelazione del mistero celato per molti secoli addietro,
26 e ora manifestato e rivelato fra tutte le genti mediante le Scritture profetiche, secondo il comandamento dell'eterno Dio, per indurli all'ubbidienza della fede.
27 a Dio, unico sapiente, sia la gloria in eterno, per mezzo di Gesú Cristo. Amen.

2 ινα προσδεξησθε αυτην εν κυριω αξιως των αγιων και παραστητε αυτη εν ω αν υμων χρηζη πραγματι και γαρ αυτη προστατις πολλων εγενηθη και εμου αυτου
3 ασπασασθε πρισκαν και ακυλαν τους συνεργους μου εν χριστω ιησου
4 οιτινες υπερ της ψυχης μου τον εαυτων τραχηλον υπεθηκαν οις ουκ εγω μονος ευχαριστω αλλα και πασαι αι εκκλησιαι των εθνων
5 και την κατ οικον αυτων εκκλησιαν ασπασασθε επαινετον τον αγαπητον μου ος εστιν απαρχη της ασιας εις χριστον
6 ασπασασθε μαριαν ητις πολλα εκοπιασεν εις υμας
7 ασπασασθε ανδρονικον και ιουνιαν τους συγγενεις μου και συναιχμαλωτους μου οιτινες εισιν επισημοι εν τοις αποστολοις οι και προ εμου γεγοναν εν χριστω

14 ασπασασθε ασυγκριτον φλεγοντα ερμην πατροβαν ερμαν και τους συν αυτοις αδελφους
15 ασπασασθε φιλολογον και ιουλιαν νηρεα και την αδελφην αυτου και ολυμπαν και τους συν αυτοις παντας αγιους
16 ασπασασθε αλληλους εν φιληματι αγιω ασπαζονται υμας αι εκκλησιαι πασαι του χριστου
17 παρακαλω δε υμας αδελφοι σκοπειν τους τας διχοστασιας και τα σκανδαλα παρα την διδαχην ην υμεις εμαθετε ποιουντας και εκκλινετε απ αυτων
18 οι γαρ τοιουτοι τω κυριω ημων χριστω ου δουλευουσιν αλλα τη εαυτων κοιλια και δια της χρηστολογιας και ευλογιας εξαπατωσιν τας καρδιας των ακακων
19 η γαρ υμων υπακοη εις παντας αφικετο εφ υμιν ουν χαιρω θελω δε υμας σοφους [μεν] ειναι εις το αγαθον ακεραιους δε εις το κακον
20 ο δε θεος της ειρηνης συντριψει τον σαταναν υπο τους ποδας υμων εν ταχει η χαρις του κυριου ημων ιησου μεθ υμων
21 ασπαζεται υμας τιμοθεος ο συνεργος [μου] και λουκιος και ιασων και σωσιπατρος οι συγγενεις μου
22 ασπαζομαι υμας εγω τερτιος ο γραψας την επιστολην εν κυριω
23 ασπαζεται υμας γαιος ο ξενος μου και ολης της εκκλησιας ασπαζεται υμας εραστος ο οικονομος της πολεως και κουαρτος ο αδελφος
24 25 τω δε δυναμενω υμας στηριξαι κατα το ευαγγελιον μου και το κηρυγμα ιησου χριστου κατα αποκαλυψιν μυστηριου χρονοις αιωνιοις σεσιγημενου

16 I commend unto you Phebe our sister, which is a servant of the church which is at Cenchrea:
2 That ye receive her in the Lord, as becometh saints, and that ye assist her in whatsoever business she hath need of you: for she hath been a succourer of many, and of myself also.
3 Greet Priscilla and Aquila my helpers in Christ Jesus:
4 Who have for my life laid down their own necks: unto whom not only I give thanks, but also all the churches of the Gentiles.
5 Likewise greet the church that is in their house. Salute my well-beloved Epaenetus, who is the firstfruits of Achaia unto Christ.
6 Greet Mary, who bestowed much labour on us.
7 Salute Andronicus and Junia, my kinsmen, and my fellow-prisoners, who are of note among the apostles, who also were in Christ before me.
8 Greet Amplias my beloved in the Lord.
9 Salute Urbane, our helper in Christ, and Stachys my beloved.
10 Salute Apelles approved in Christ. Salute them which are of Aristobulus' household.
11 Salute Herodion my kinsman. Greet them that be of the household of Narcissus, which are in the Lord.
12 Salute Tryphena and Tryphosa, who labour in the Lord. Salute the beloved Persis, which laboured much in the Lord.
13 Salute Rufus chosen in the Lord, and his mother and mine.
14 Salute Asyncritus, Phlegon, Hermas, Patrobas, Hermes, and the brethren which are with them.
15 Salute Philologus, and Julia, Nereus, and his sister, and Olympas, and all the saints which are with them.
16 Salute one another with an holy kiss. The churches of Christ salute you.
17 Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them.
18 For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple.
19 For your obedience is come abroad unto all men. I am glad therefore on your behalf: but yet I would have you wise unto that which is good, and simple concerning evil.
20 And the God of peace shall bruise Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen.
21 Timotheus my workfellow, and Lucius, and Jason, and Sosipater, my kinsmen, salute you.
22 I Tertius, who wrote this epistle, salute you in the Lord.
23 Gaius mine host, and of the whole church, saluteth you. Erastus the chamberlain of the city saluteth you, and Quartus a brother.

25 Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began,

Avoid Divisive Persons
17 Now I urge you, brethren, note those (K)who cause divisions and offenses, contrary to the doctrine which you learned, and (L)avoid them. 18 For those who are such do not serve our Lord [d]Jesus Christ, but (M)their own belly, and (N)by smooth words and flattering speech deceive the hearts of the simple. 19 For (O)your obedience has become known to all. Therefore I am glad on your behalf; but I want you to be (P)wise in what is good, and [e]simple concerning evil. 20 And (Q)the God of peace (R)will crush Satan under your feet shortly.
