5 και ηλθον εις το περαν της θαλασσης εις την χωραν των γερασηνων
2 και εξελθοντος αυτου εκ του πλοιου [ευθυς] υπηντησεν αυτω εκ των μνημειων ανθρωπος εν πνευματι ακαθαρτω
3 ος την κατοικησιν ειχεν εν τοις μνημασιν και ουδε αλυσει ουκετι ουδεις εδυνατο αυτον δησαι
4 δια το αυτον πολλακις πεδαις και αλυσεσιν δεδεσθαι και διεσπασθαι υπ αυτου τας αλυσεις και τας πεδας συντετριφθαι και ουδεις ισχυεν αυτον δαμασαι
5 και δια παντος νυκτος και ημερας εν τοις μνημασιν και εν τοις ορεσιν ην κραζων και κατακοπτων εαυτον λιθοις
6 και ιδων τον ιησουν απο μακροθεν εδραμεν και προσεκυνησεν αυτον
7 και κραξας φωνη μεγαλη λεγει τι εμοι και σοι ιησου υιε του θεου του υψιστου ορκιζω σε τον θεον μη με βασανισης
8 ελεγεν γαρ αυτω εξελθε το πνευμα το ακαθαρτον εκ του ανθρωπου
9 και επηρωτα αυτον τι ονομα σοι και λεγει αυτω λεγιων ονομα μοι οτι πολλοι εσμεν
10 και παρεκαλει αυτον πολλα ινα μη αυτα αποστειλη εξω της χωρας
11 ην δε εκει προς τω ορει αγελη χοιρων μεγαλη βοσκομενη
12 και παρεκαλεσαν αυτον λεγοντες πεμψον ημας εις τους χοιρους ινα εις αυτους εισελθωμεν
13 και επετρεψεν αυτοις και εξελθοντα τα πνευματα τα ακαθαρτα εισηλθον εις τους χοιρους και ωρμησεν η αγελη κατα του κρημνου εις την θαλασσαν ως δισχιλιοι και επνιγοντο εν τη θαλασση
14 και οι βοσκοντες αυτους εφυγον και απηγγειλαν εις την πολιν και εις τους αγρους και ηλθον ιδειν τι εστιν το γεγονος
15 και ερχονται προς τον ιησουν και θεωρουσιν τον δαιμονιζομενον καθημενον ιματισμενον και σωφρονουντα τον εσχηκοτα τον λεγιωνα και εφοβηθησαν
16 και διηγησαντο αυτοις οι ιδοντες πως εγενετο τω δαιμονιζομενω και περι των χοιρων
17 και ηρξαντο παρακαλειν αυτον απελθειν απο των οριων αυτων
18 και εμβαινοντος αυτου εις το πλοιον παρεκαλει αυτον ο δαιμονισθεις ινα μετ αυτου η
19 και ουκ αφηκεν αυτον αλλα λεγει αυτω υπαγε εις τον οικον σου προς τους σους και απαγγειλον αυτοις οσα ο κυριος σοι πεποιηκεν και ηλεησεν σε
20 και απηλθεν και ηρξατο κηρυσσειν εν τη δεκαπολει οσα εποιησεν αυτω ο ιησους και παντες εθαυμαζον
21 και διαπερασαντος του ιησου εν τω πλοιω παλιν εις το περαν συνηχθη οχλος πολυς επ αυτον και ην παρα την θαλασσαν
22 και ερχεται εις των αρχισυναγωγων ονοματι ιαιρος και ιδων αυτον πιπτει προς τους ποδας αυτου
23 και παρακαλει αυτον πολλα λεγων οτι το θυγατριον μου εσχατως εχει ινα ελθων επιθης τας χειρας αυτη ινα σωθη και ζηση
24 και απηλθεν μετ αυτου και ηκολουθει αυτω οχλος πολυς και συνεθλιβον αυτον
25 και γυνη ουσα εν ρυσει αιματος δωδεκα ετη
26 και πολλα παθουσα υπο πολλων ιατρων και δαπανησασα τα παρ αυτης παντα και μηδεν ωφεληθεισα αλλα μαλλον εις το χειρον ελθουσα
27 ακουσασα τα περι του ιησου ελθουσα εν τω οχλω οπισθεν ηψατο του ιματιου αυτου
28 ελεγεν γαρ οτι εαν αψωμαι καν των ιματιων αυτου σωθησομαι
29 και ευθυς εξηρανθη η πηγη του αιματος αυτης και εγνω τω σωματι οτι ιαται απο της μαστιγος
30 και ευθυς ο ιησους επιγνους εν εαυτω την εξ αυτου δυναμιν εξελθουσαν επιστραφεις εν τω οχλω ελεγεν τις μου ηψατο των ιματιων
31 και ελεγον αυτω οι μαθηται αυτου βλεπεις τον οχλον συνθλιβοντα σε και λεγεις τις μου ηψατο
32 και περιεβλεπετο ιδειν την τουτο ποιησασαν
33 η δε γυνη φοβηθεισα και τρεμουσα ειδυια ο γεγονεν αυτη ηλθεν και προσεπεσεν αυτω και ειπεν αυτω πασαν την αληθειαν
34 ο δε ειπεν αυτη θυγατηρ η πιστις σου σεσωκεν σε υπαγε εις ειρηνην και ισθι υγιης απο της μαστιγος σου
35 ετι αυτου λαλουντος ερχονται απο του αρχισυναγωγου λεγοντες οτι η θυγατηρ σου απεθανεν τι ετι σκυλλεις τον διδασκαλον
36 ο δε ιησους παρακουσας τον λογον λαλουμενον λεγει τω αρχισυναγωγω μη φοβου μονον πιστευε
37 και ουκ αφηκεν ουδενα μετ αυτου συνακολουθησαι ει μη τον πετρον και ιακωβον και ιωαννην τον αδελφον ιακωβου
38 και ερχονται εις τον οικον του αρχισυναγωγου και θεωρει θορυβον και κλαιοντας και αλαλαζοντας πολλα
39 και εισελθων λεγει αυτοις τι θορυβεισθε και κλαιετε το παιδιον ουκ απεθανεν αλλα καθευδει
40 και κατεγελων αυτου αυτος δε εκβαλων παντας παραλαμβανει τον πατερα του παιδιου και την μητερα και τους μετ αυτου και εισπορευεται οπου ην το παιδιον
41 και κρατησας της χειρος του παιδιου λεγει αυτη ταλιθα κουμ ο εστιν μεθερμηνευομενον το κορασιον σοι λεγω εγειρε
42 και ευθυς ανεστη το κορασιον και περιεπατει ην γαρ ετων δωδεκα και εξεστησαν ευθυς εκστασει μεγαλη

5 Они переправились на другую сторону озера, к земле герасинцев. 2 Как только Иисус вышел из лодки, навстречу Ему из гробниц выскочил человек, одержимый нечистым духом.
3 Человек этот жил в гробницах, и никто не мог связать его даже цепями: 4 его уже много раз сковывали по рукам и ногам, но он всегда разрывал цепи и разбивал кандалы на ногах. Никто не мог усмирить его. 5 Днем и ночью он бродил среди могил и по горам и с диким криком бил себя камнями. 6 Увидев Иисуса издалека, он подбежал к Нему, поклонился 7 и закричал во весь голос:
– Что Ты от меня хочешь, Иисус, Сын Всевышнего Бога? Заклинаю Тебя Богом, не мучь меня! – 8 потому что Иисус говорил ему: «Выйди, нечистый дух, из этого человека».
9 Иисус спросил его:
– Как тебя зовут?
– Меня зовут Легион[a], – ответил тот, – потому что нас много.
10 И он настойчиво умолял Иисуса не выгонять их из тех мест. 11 А там у горы в это время паслось большое стадо свиней, 12 и нечистые духи попросили Иисуса:
– Позволь нам войти в этих свиней.
13 Иисус позволил, и нечистые духи, выйдя из человека, вошли в свиней. Все стадо, около двух тысяч голов, тут же ринулось с обрыва в озеро и утонуло в нем. 14 А свинопасы побежали и рассказали о случившемся в городе и в окрестностях. Сбежался народ посмотреть, что произошло. 15 Подойдя к Иисусу, они увидели, что бывший одержимый, в котором был легион демонов, сидит одетый и в здравом уме, и они испугались. 16 Очевидцы же рассказали им, как все произошло с одержимым и со свиньями. 17 Тогда местные жители стали просить Иисуса покинуть их края. 18 Когда Иисус садился в лодку, то человек, который был одержим демонами, стал просить, чтобы Он взял его с Собой, 19 но Иисус отказал ему.
– Ступай домой к своим родным, – сказал Он, – и расскажи им, что сделал для тебя Господь, и какую милость Он к тебе проявил.
20 Тот пошел и стал рассказывать в Десятиградии о том, что сделал для него Иисус. Его рассказ приводил всех в изумление.

21 Когда Иисус переправился в лодке обратно на другую сторону озера, вокруг Него на берегу собралась большая толпа. 22 Тут пришел Иаир, один из начальников синагоги. Он, увидев Иисуса, пал к Его ногам 23 и стал умолять:
– Моя маленькая дочь умирает, приди и возложи на нее руки, чтобы она исцелилась и осталась жива.
24 Иисус пошел с ним, а за Иисусом следовала большая толпа и теснила Его со всех сторон. 25 Там была женщина, двенадцать лет страдавшая кровотечением. 26 Она натерпелась от многих врачей, истратила на лечение все, что у нее было, но не получила никакой помощи, напротив, ей становилось все хуже. 27 Она слышала об Иисусе, и поэтому она подошла сзади к Нему сквозь толпу и прикоснулась к Его одежде. 28 «Если я хоть к одежде Его прикоснусь, то исцелюсь», – говорила она себе. 29 Ее кровотечение сразу же остановилось, и она почувствовала, что исцелена. 30 А Иисус мгновенно почувствовал, что из Него вышла сила. Он обернулся в толпе и спросил:
– Кто прикоснулся к Моей одежде?
31 Ученики ответили Ему:
– Ты же видишь, что толпа теснит Тебя со всех сторон. Что же Ты спрашиваешь, кто к Тебе прикоснулся?
32 Но Иисус обводил толпу взглядом, чтобы увидеть ту, которая это сделала. 33 Женщина, дрожа от страха и зная, что с ней произошло, подошла, упала к Его ногам и рассказала всю правду. 34 Тогда Иисус сказал ей:
– Дочь Моя, твоя вера исцелила тебя! Иди с миром и будь здорова от своего недуга.
35 Пока Иисус еще говорил, пришли люди из дома начальника синагоги и передали:
– Твоя дочь умерла, зачем еще беспокоить Учителя?
36 Но Иисус, не обращая внимания на их слова, сказал начальнику синагоги:
– Не бойся, только верь!
37 Он не позволил идти с Ним никому, кроме Петра, Иакова и Иоанна, брата Иакова. 38 Когда они подошли к дому начальника, Он увидел смятение. Люди плакали и причитали. 39 Иисус вошел в дом и спросил их:
– Почему вы так скорбите и плачете? Девочка не умерла, она спит.
40 Над Ним начали смеяться. Но Иисус велел всем выйти, а Сам с отцом и матерью девочки и своими спутниками вошел в комнату, где она лежала. 41 Взяв ее за руку, Иисус сказал:
– Талита, кум!
(Что значит: «Девочка, говорю тебе: встань!»)
42 Девочка сразу встала и начала ходить (ей было лет двенадцать). Все были сильно удивлены. 43 Но Иисус строго наказал им, чтобы никто не узнал о случившемся, а девочку велел покормить.

Jesus Restores a Demon-Possessed Man(A)(B)
5 They went across the lake to the region of the Gerasenes.[a] 2 When Jesus got out of the boat,(C) a man with an impure spirit(D) came from the tombs to meet him. 3 This man lived in the tombs, and no one could bind him anymore, not even with a chain. 4 For he had often been chained hand and foot, but he tore the chains apart and broke the irons on his feet. No one was strong enough to subdue him. 5 Night and day among the tombs and in the hills he would cry out and cut himself with stones.
6 When he saw Jesus from a distance, he ran and fell on his knees in front of him. 7 He shouted at the top of his voice, “What do you want with me,(E) Jesus, Son of the Most High God?(F) In God’s name don’t torture me!” 8 For Jesus had said to him, “Come out of this man, you impure spirit!”
9 Then Jesus asked him, “What is your name?”
“My name is Legion,”(G) he replied, “for we are many.” 10 And he begged Jesus again and again not to send them out of the area.
11 A large herd of pigs was feeding on the nearby hillside. 12 The demons begged Jesus, “Send us among the pigs; allow us to go into them.” 13 He gave them permission, and the impure spirits came out and went into the pigs. The herd, about two thousand in number, rushed down the steep bank into the lake and were drowned.
14 Those tending the pigs ran off and reported this in the town and countryside, and the people went out to see what had happened. 15 When they came to Jesus, they saw the man who had been possessed by the legion(H) of demons,(I) sitting there, dressed and in his right mind; and they were afraid. 16 Those who had seen it told the people what had happened to the demon-possessed man—and told about the pigs as well. 17 Then the people began to plead with Jesus to leave their region.
18 As Jesus was getting into the boat, the man who had been demon-possessed begged to go with him. 19 Jesus did not let him, but said, “Go home to your own people and tell them(J) how much the Lord has done for you, and how he has had mercy on you.” 20 So the man went away and began to tell in the Decapolis[b](K) how much Jesus had done for him. And all the people were amazed.
Jesus Raises a Dead Girl and Heals a Sick Woman(L)
21 When Jesus had again crossed over by boat to the other side of the lake,(M) a large crowd gathered around him while he was by the lake.(N) 22 Then one of the synagogue leaders,(O) named Jairus, came, and when he saw Jesus, he fell at his feet. 23 He pleaded earnestly with him, “My little daughter is dying. Please come and put your hands on(P) her so that she will be healed and live.” 24 So Jesus went with him.
A large crowd followed and pressed around him. 25 And a woman was there who had been subject to bleeding(Q) for twelve years. 26 She had suffered a great deal under the care of many doctors and had spent all she had, yet instead of getting better she grew worse. 27 When she heard about Jesus, she came up behind him in the crowd and touched his cloak, 28 because she thought, “If I just touch his clothes,(R) I will be healed.” 29 Immediately her bleeding stopped and she felt in her body that she was freed from her suffering.(S)
30 At once Jesus realized that power(T) had gone out from him. He turned around in the crowd and asked, “Who touched my clothes?”
31 “You see the people crowding against you,” his disciples answered, “and yet you can ask, ‘Who touched me?’ ”
32 But Jesus kept looking around to see who had done it. 33 Then the woman, knowing what had happened to her, came and fell at his feet and, trembling with fear, told him the whole truth. 34 He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has healed you.(U) Go in peace(V) and be freed from your suffering.”
35 While Jesus was still speaking, some people came from the house of Jairus, the synagogue leader.(W) “Your daughter is dead,” they said. “Why bother the teacher anymore?”
36 Overhearing[c] what they said, Jesus told him, “Don’t be afraid; just believe.”
37 He did not let anyone follow him except Peter, James and John the brother of James.(X) 38 When they came to the home of the synagogue leader,(Y) Jesus saw a commotion, with people crying and wailing loudly. 39 He went in and said to them, “Why all this commotion and wailing? The child is not dead but asleep.”(Z) 40 But they laughed at him.
After he put them all out, he took the child’s father and mother and the disciples who were with him, and went in where the child was. 41 He took her by the hand(AA) and said to her, “Talitha koum!” (which means “Little girl, I say to you, get up!”).(AB) 42 Immediately the girl stood up and began to walk around (she was twelve years old). At this they were completely astonished. 43 He gave strict orders not to let anyone know about this,(AC) and told them to give her something to eat.

2 And when he was come out of the ship, immediately there met him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit,
3 Who had his dwelling among the tombs; and no man could bind him, no, not with chains:
4 Because that he had been often bound with fetters and chains, and the chains had been plucked asunder by him, and the fetters broken in pieces: neither could any man tame him.
5 And always, night and day, he was in the mountains, and in the tombs, crying, and cutting himself with stones.
6 But when he saw Jesus afar off, he ran and worshipped him,
7 And cried with a loud voice, and said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of the most high God? I adjure thee by God, that thou torment me not.
8 For he said unto him, Come out of the man, thou unclean spirit.
9 And he asked him, What is thy name? And he answered, saying, My name is Legion: for we are many.
10 And he besought him much that he would not send them away out of the country.
11 Now there was there nigh unto the mountains a great herd of swine feeding.
12 And all the devils besought him, saying, Send us into the swine, that we may enter into them.
13 And forthwith Jesus gave them leave. And the unclean spirits went out, and entered into the swine: and the herd ran violently down a steep place into the sea, (they were about two thousand;) and were choked in the sea.
14 And they that fed the swine fled, and told it in the city, and in the country. And they went out to see what it was that was done.
15 And they come to Jesus, and see him that was possessed with the devil, and had the legion, sitting, and clothed, and in his right mind: and they were afraid.
16 And they that saw it told them how it befell to him that was possessed with the devil, and also concerning the swine.
17 And they began to pray him to depart out of their coasts.
18 And when he was come into the ship, he that had been possessed with the devil prayed him that he might be with him.
19 Howbeit Jesus suffered him not, but saith unto him, Go home to thy friends, and tell them how great things the Lord hath done for thee, and hath had compassion on thee.
20 And he departed, and began to publish in Decapolis how great things Jesus had done for him: and all men did marvel.
21 And when Jesus was passed over again by ship unto the other side, much people gathered unto him: and he was nigh unto the sea.
22 And, behold, there cometh one of the rulers of the synagogue, Jairus by name; and when he saw him, he fell at his feet,
23 And besought him greatly, saying, My little daughter lieth at the point of death: I pray thee, come and lay thy hands on her, that she may be healed; and she shall live.
24 And Jesus went with him; and much people followed him, and thronged him.
25 And a certain woman, which had an issue of blood twelve years,
26 And had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse,
27 When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment.
28 For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole.
29 And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague.
30 And Jesus, immediately knowing in himself that virtue had gone out of him, turned him about in the press, and said, Who touched my clothes?
31 And his disciples said unto him, Thou seest the multitude thronging thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me?
32 And he looked round about to see her that had done this thing.
33 But the woman fearing and trembling, knowing what was done in her, came and fell down before him, and told him all the truth.
34 And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague.
35 While he yet spake, there came from the ruler of the synagogue's house certain which said, Thy daughter is dead: why troublest thou the Master any further?
36 As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, he saith unto the ruler of the synagogue, Be not afraid, only believe.
37 And he suffered no man to follow him, save Peter, and James, and John the brother of James.
38 And he cometh to the house of the ruler of the synagogue, and seeth the tumult, and them that wept and wailed greatly.
39 And when he was come in, he saith unto them, Why make ye this ado, and weep? the damsel is not dead, but sleepeth.
40 And they laughed him to scorn. But when he had put them all out, he taketh the father and the mother of the damsel, and them that were with him, and entereth in where the damsel was lying.
41 And he took the damsel by the hand, and said unto her, Talitha cumi; which is, being interpreted, Damsel, I say unto thee, arise.
42 And straightway the damsel arose, and walked; for she was of the age of twelve years. And they were astonished with a great astonishment.
43 And he charged them straitly that no man should know it; and commanded that something should be given her to eat.
