2 فَإِنِّي أُرِيدُ أَنْ تَعْلَمُوا مِقْدَارَ جِهَادِي لأَجْلِكُمْ وَلأَجْلِ الَّذِينَ فِي مَدِينَةِ لاوُدِكِيَّةَ، وَلأَجْلِ جَمِيعِ الَّذِينَ لَا يَعْرِفُونَنِي بِالْوَجْهِ، 2 بِغَرَضِ أَنْ تَتَشَجَّعَ قُلُوبُهُمْ وَتَكُونَ كُلُّهَا مُتَّحِدَةً فِي الْمَحَبَّةِ، لِبُلُوغِ الإِدْرَاكِ التَّامِّ بِكُلِّ غِنَاهُ، لِمَعْرِفَةِ سِرِّ اللهِ، أَيِ الْمَسِيحِ، 3 الْمَخْزُونَةِ فِيهِ كُنُوزُ الْحِكْمَةِ وَالْمَعْرِفَةِ كُلُّهَا.

4 أَقُولُ هَذَا حَتَّى لَا يُضَلِّلَكُمْ أَحَدٌ بِكَلامٍ خَدَّاعٍ. 5 فَمَعَ أَنِّي فِي الْجَسَدِ غَائِبٌ، إِلّا أَنِّي فِي الرُّوحِ حَاضِرٌ مَعَكُمْ، أَفْرَحُ إِذْ أُشَاهِدُ تَرْتِيبَكُمْ وَثَبَاتَكُمْ فِي الإِيمَانِ بِالْمَسِيحِ.

الحرية في المسيح

6 فَمِثْلَمَا قَبِلْتُمُ الْمَسِيحَ يَسُوعَ الرَّبَّ، فَفِيهِ اسْلُكُوا 7 وَأَنْتُمْ مُتَأَصِّلُونَ وَمَبْنِيُّونَ فِيهِ وَرَاسِخُونَ فِي الإِيمَانِ الْمُوَافِقِ لِمَا تَعَلَّمْتُمْ وَفَائِضُونَ بِالشُّكْرِ. 8 احْذَرُوا أَنْ يُوقِعَكُمْ أَحَدٌ فَرِيسَةً بِالْفَلْسَفَةِ وَالْغُرُورِ الْبَاطِلِ، عَمَلاً بِتَقَالِيدِ النَّاسِ وَأَرْكَانِ الْعَالَمِ؛ مِمَّا لَا يُوَافِقُ الْمَسِيحَ. 9 فَفِيهِ، جَسَدِيًّا، يَحِلُّ اللهُ بِكُلِّ مِلْئِهِ، 10 وَأَنْتُمْ مُكَمَّلُونَ فِيهِ. فَهُوَ رَأْسُ كُلِّ رَئَاسَةٍ وَسُلْطَةٍ؛ 11 وَفِيهِ أَيْضاً خُتِنْتُمْ أَنْتُمْ خِتَاناً لَمْ تُجْرِهِ الأَيْدِي، إِذْ نُزِعَ عَنْكُمْ جَسَدُ الْخَطَايَا الْبَشَرِيُّ وَهَذَا هُوَ خِتَانُ الْمَسِيحِ: 12 فَقَدْ دُفِنْتُمْ مَعَهُ فِي الْمَعْمُودِيَّةِ، وَفِيهَا أَيْضاً أُقِمْتُمْ مَعَهُ، عَنْ طَرِيقِ إِيمَانِكُمْ بِقُدْرَةِ اللهِ الَّذِي أَقَامَهُ مِنْ بَيْنِ الأَمْوَاتِ. 13 فَأَنْتُمْ، إِذْ كُنْتُمْ أَمْوَاتاً فِي الْخَطَايَا وَعَدَمِ خِتَانِكُمُ الْجَسَدِيِّ، أَحْيَاكُمْ جَمِيعاً مَعَهُ؛ مُسَامِحاً لَنَا جَمِيعاً بِالْخَطَايَا كُلِّهَا. 14 إِذْ قَدْ مَحَا صَكَّ الْفَرَائِضِ الْمَكْتُوبَ عَلَيْنَا وَالْمُنَاقِضَ لِمَصْلَحَتِنَا، بَلْ إِنَّهُ قَدْ أَزَالَهُ مِنَ الْوَسَطِ، مُسَمِّراً إِيَّاهُ عَلَى الصَّلِيبِ. 15 وَإِذْ نَزَعَ سِلاحَ الرِّئَاسَاتِ وَالسُّلُطَاتِ، فَضَحَهُمْ جَهَاراً فِيهِ، وَسَاقَهُمْ فِي مَوْكِبِهِ ظَافِراً عَلَيْهِمْ.

الحرية من قوانين البشر

16 فَلا يَحْكُمْ عَلَيْكُمْ أَحَدٌ فِي قَضِيَّةِ الأَكْلِ وَالشُّرْبِ، أَوْ فِي الْقَضَايَا الْمُتَعَلِّقَةِ بِالأَعْيَادِ وَرُؤُوسِ الشُّهُورِ وَالسُّبُوتِ؛ 17 فَهَذِهِ كَانَتْ ظِلالاً لِمَا سَيَأْتِي، أَيْ لِلْحَقِيقَةِ الَّتِي هِيَ الْمَسِيحُ. 18 لَا يَحْرِمْكُمْ أَحَدٌ مِنْ جَائِزَتِكُمْ، بِحَمْلِكُمْ عَلَى مَا يَرْغَبُ فِيهِ مِنْ إِظْهَارِ التَّوَاضُعِ وَالتَّعَبُّدِ لِلْمَلائِكَةِ، دَاخِلاً فِي رُؤى يَتَوَهَّمُهَا، وَقَدْ نَفَخَهُ بَاطِلاً ذِهْنُهُ الْجَسَدِيُّ، 19 وَهُوَ غَيْرُ مُمْسِكٍ بِالرَّأْسِ الَّذِي مِنْهُ يَتَلَقَّى الْجَسَدُ كُلُّهُ غِذَاءَهُ وَتَمَاسُكَهُ بِالْمَفَاصِلِ وَالأَوْصَالِ، فَيَنْمُو النُّمُوَّ الَّذِي يَمْنَحُهُ اللهُ.

20 فَمَادُمْتُمْ قَدْ مُتُّمْ مَعَ الْمَسِيحِ بِالنِّسْبَةِ لأَرْكَانِ الْعَالَمِ، فَلِمَاذَا، كَمَا لَوْ كُنْتُمْ عَائِشِينَ فِي الْعَالَمِ، تُخْضِعُونَ أَنْفُسَكُمْ لِفَرَائِضَ مِثْلِ هذِهِ: 21 لَا تُمْسِكْ، لَا تَذُقْ، لَا تَلْمَسْ 22 وَهذِهِ أَشْيَاءُ تُسْتَهْلَكُ وَتَزُولُ. فَتِلْكَ الْفَرَائِضُ هِيَ وَصَايَا الْبَشَرِ وَتَعَالِيمُهُمْ. 23 لَهَا مَظَاهِرُ الْحِكْمَةِ لِمَا فِيهَا مِنْ إِفْرَاطٍ فِي الْعِبَادَةِ الْمُصْطَنَعَةِ، وَإِذْلالٍ لِلذَّاتِ، وَقَهْرٍ لِلْجَسَدِ؛ أُمُورٌ لَا قِيمَةَ لَهَا، وَمَا هِيَ إِلّا لإِرْضَاءِ الْمُيُولِ الْبَشَرِيَّةِ.

2 Voglio infatti che sappiate quanto grande sia il combattimento che sostengo per voi, per quelli che sono a Laodicea e per tutti quelli che non hanno visto la mia faccia di persona,

2 affinché i loro cuori siano consolati, essendo essi uniti insieme nell'amore, ed ottengano tutte le ricchezze della piena certezza d'intelligenza per la conoscenza del mistero di Dio e Padre e di Cristo,

3 in cui sono nascosti tutti i tesori della sapienza e della conoscenza.

4 Or questo dico, affinché nessuno vi inganni con parole convincenti,

5 perché, quantunque sia assente da voi col corpo, pure sono con voi con lo spirito e mi rallegro vedendo il vostro ordine e la fermezza della vostra fede in Cristo.

6 Come dunque avete ricevuto Cristo Gesú, il Signore, cosí camminate in lui

7 essendo radicati ed edificati in lui, e confermati nella fede come vi è stato insegnato, abbondando in essa con ringraziamento.

8 Guardate che nessuno vi faccia sua preda con la filosofia e con vano inganno, secondo la tradizione degli uomini, secondo gli elementi del mondo e non secondo Cristo,

9 poiché in lui abita corporalmente tutta la pienezza della Deità.

10 E voi avete ricevuto la pienezza in lui, essendo egli il capo di ogni principato e potestà,

11 nel quale siete anche stati circoncisi di una circoncisione, fatta senza mano d'uomo, ma della circoncisione di Cristo, mediante lo spogliamento del corpo dei peccati della carne:

12 essendo stati sepolti con lui nel battesimo, in lui siete anche stati insieme risuscitati, mediante la fede nella potenza di Dio che lo ha risuscitato dai morti.

13 E con lui Dio ha vivificato voi, che eravate morti nei peccati e nell'incirconcisione della carne, perdonandovi tutti i peccati.

14 Egli ha annientato il documento fatto di ordinamenti, che era contro di noi e che ci era nemico, e l'ha tolto di mezzo inchiodandolo alla croce;

15 avendo quindi spogliato le potestà e i principati, ne ha fatto un pubblico spettacolo, trionfando su di loro in lui.

16 Nessuno dunque vi giudichi per cibi o bevande, o rispetto a feste, a noviluni o ai sabati;

17 queste cose sono ombra di quelle che devono venire; ma il corpo è di Cristo.

18 Nessuno vi derubi del premio con un pretesto di umiltà e di culto degli angeli, fondandosi su cose che non ha visto, essendo temerariamente gonfio a motivo della sua mente carnale

19 e non attenendosi al capo, da cui tutto il corpo, ben nutrito e tenuto insieme mediante le giunture e le articolazioni cresce con l'accrescimento che viene da Dio.

20 Se dunque siete morti con Cristo agli elementi del mondo, perché vi sottoponete a dei precetti come se viveste nel mondo, quali:

21 «Non toccare, non assaggiare, non maneggiare»,

22 tutte cose che periscono con l'uso, secondo i comandamenti e le dottrine degli uomini?

23 Queste cose hanno sí qualche apparenza di sapienza nella religiosità volontariamente scelta, nella falsa umiltà e nel trattamento duro del corpo, ma non hanno alcun valore contro le intemperanze carnali.

2 فَأنَا أُرِيدُكُمْ أنْ تَعْلَمُوا أنِّي أُكَافِحُ مِنْ أجْلِكُمْ، وَمِنْ أجْلِ المُؤمِنِينَ فِي لَاوُدِكِيَّةَ، وَحَتَّى مِنْ أجْلِ جَمِيعِ الَّذِينَ لَمْ يُقَابِلُونِي. 2 أقُولُ هَذَا حَتَّى يَتَشَجَّعُوا وَيَتَّحِدُوا مَعًا فِي المَحَبَّةِ. عِنْدَئِذٍ سَتَكُونُ عُقُولُهُمْ وَاثِقَةً بِفَضْلِ فَهمِهَا الكَامِلِ لِلمَسِيحِ، الَّذِي هُوَ سِرُّ اللهِ العَمِيقِ. 3 فَكُلُّ كُنُوزِ الحِكْمَةِ وَالمَعْرِفَةِ مَخزُونَةٌ فِي المَسِيحِ. 4 أقُولُ هَذَا لِئَلَّا يَخْدَعَكُمْ أحَدٌ بِحُجَجٍ زَائِفَةٍ تَبدُو مَقبُولَةً فِي ظَاهِرِهَا. 5 فَمَعَ أنِّي غَائِبٌ عَنْكُمْ فِي الجَسَدِ، إلَّا أنِّي حَاضِرٌ بَيْنَكُمْ بِرُوحِي. وَأفرَحُ إذْ أرَى التَّرتِيبَ فِي حَيَاتِكُمْ، وَصَلَابَةَ إيمَانِكُمْ بِالمَسِيحِ.

الحَيَاةُ فِي المَسِيح

6 فَمَا دُمتُمْ قَبِلْتُمُ المَسِيحَ يَسُوعَ الرَّبَّ، عِيشُوا حَيَاتَكُمْ فِيهِ. 7 فَثَبِّتُوا فِيهِ جُذُورَكُمْ، وَاجعَلُوهُ أسَاسَ حَيَاتِكُمْ، وَتَقَوُّوا فِي إيمَانِكُمْ فِيهِ كَمَا تَعَلَّمتُمْ، وَلْتَفِضْ حَيَاتُكُمْ بِالشُّكرِ للهِ.

8 انتَبِهُوا لِئَلَّا يُضَلِّلَكُمْ أحَدٌ بِالفَلسَفَةِ وَبِتَعَالِيمَ خَادِعَةٍ فَارِغَةٍ هِيَ مِنْ تَقَالِيدِ النَّاسِ، وَمِنَ القُوَى المُسَيطِرَةِ عَلَى هَذَا العَالَمِ. فَهَذَا لَا يَتَّفِقُ مَعَ المَسِيحِ وَتَعَالِيمِهِ. 9 فَفِي المَسِيحِ يَحِلُّ اللهُ بِكُلِّ أُلوهِيَّتِهِ. 10 وَأنْتُمْ صِرتُمْ كَامِلِينَ فِي المَسِيحِ الَّذِي هُوَ فَوْقَ كُلِّ قُوَّةٍ وَسُلطَانٍ. 11 لَقَدْ خُتِنْتُمْ فِي المَسِيحِ خِتَانًا غَيْرَ جَسَدِيٍّ عِنْدَمَا حَرَّرَكُمْ مِنْ قُوَّةِ الطَّبِيعَةِ الجَسَدِيَّةِ، فَهَذَا هُوَ الخِتَانُ الَّذِي يُجرِيهِ المَسِيحُ. 12 فَقَدْ دُفِنتُمْ مَعَهُ فِي المَعمُودِيَّةِ، وَقُمتُمْ أيْضًا مَعَهُ، إذْ آمَنتُمْ بِقُدرَةِ اللهِ الَّذِي أقَامَ المَسِيحَ مِنَ المَوْتِ.

13 كُنْتُمْ فِيمَا مَضَى أمْوَاتًا فِي خَطَايَاكُمْ، وَلَمْ تَكُونُوا قَدْ تَطَهَّرْتُمْ بَعْدُ، لَكِنَّهُ أحيَاكُمْ مَعَ المَسِيحِ. فَقَدْ غَفَرَ لَنَا جَمِيعَ خَطَايَانَا، 14 وَألغَى وَثِيقَةَ الدَّينِ الَّتِي كَانَتْ ضِدَّنَا، فَأزَالَهَا مِنْ طَرِيقِنَا بِتَسْمِيرِهَا عَلَى الصَّلِيبِ، 15 إذْ جَرَّدَ ذَوِي القُوَّةِ وَالسُلطَةِ فِي العَالَمِ الرُّوحِيِّ مِنْ أسلِحَتِهِمْ، وَأظْهَرَ هَزيمَتَهُمْ أمَامَ العَالَمِ، مُنتَصِرًا عَلَيْهِمْ بِالصَّلِيبِ.

فَرَائضُ النَّاس

16 فَلَا تَسْمَحُوا لِأحَدٍ بِأنْ يُجبِرَكُمْ عَلَى شَيءٍ فِي مَا يَتَعَلَّقُ بِطَعَامٍ أوْ شَرَابٍ أوْ عِيدٍ أوْ هِلَالٍ[a] أوْ سَبْتٍ. 17 فَمَا كَانَتْ هَذِهِ إلَّا ظِلًّا لِمَا سَيَأْتِي، أمَّا الأصلُ فَهُوَ المَسِيحُ. 18 فَلَا تَسْمَحُوا لأحَدٍ بِحِرمَانِكُمْ مِنَ مُكَافَأتِكُمْ، بِسَبَبِ رَغْبَتِهِ بِالتَّذَلُّلِ وعِبَادَةِ المَلَائِكَةِ. يَتَحَدَّثُّ عَنْ رُؤَىً رَآهَا، بَيْنَمَا يَنْتَفِخُ بِغَبَاءٍ بِأفكَارِهِ الجَسَدِيَّةِ، 19 غَيْرَ مُتَمَسِّكٍ بِالمَسِيحِ الَّذِي هُوَ الرَّأسُ الَّذِي بِهِ يَتَدَعَّمُ الجَسَدُ وَيَتَمَاسَكُ بِالمَفَاصِلِ وَالأوْصَالِ، وَيَنْمُو نُمُوًّا مِنَ اللهِ.

20 لَقَدْ مِتُّمْ مَعَ المَسِيحِ، وَتَحَرَّرْتُمْ مِنَ القُوَى المُسَيطِرَةِ عَلَى هَذَا العَالَمِ. فَلِمَاذَا تَتَصَرَّفُونَ كَأنَّكُمْ مَا زِلتُمْ تَنْتَمُونَ إلَى العَالَمِ؟ فَأنْتُمْ تَخْضَعُونَ لِفَرَائِضَ مِثْلِ: 21 «لَا تُمسِكْ بِهَذَا!» أوْ «لَا تَذُقْ ذَاكَ!» أوْ «لَا تَلْمِسْ ذَاكَ!» 22 وَهِيَ أشيَاءُ سَتَفْسُدُ جَمِيعًا بِالِاسْتِعْمَالِ. وَأنْتُمْ تَخْضَعُونَ بِذَلِكَ لِقَوَانِينَ وَتَعَالِيمَ بَشَرِيَّةٍ، 23 لَهَا مَظهَرُ الحِكْمَةِ كَالتَّدَيُّنِ وَإذلَالِ النَّفْسِ وَتَعْذِيبِ الجَسَدِ. لَكِنَّ هَذِهِ الأشْيَاءَ لَا قِيمَةَ لَهَا فِي مُواجَهَةِ مَلَذَّاتِ الطَّبِيعَةِ الجَسَدِيَّةِ.

Preoccupazione di Paolo per la fede dei Colossesi

2 Voglio infatti che sappiate quale dura lotta io devo sostenere per voi, per quelli di Laodicèa e per tutti coloro che non mi hanno mai visto di persona, 2 perché i loro cuori vengano consolati e così, strettamente congiunti nell'amore, essi acquistino in tutta la sua ricchezza la piena intelligenza, e giungano a penetrare nella perfetta conoscenza del mistero di Dio, cioè Cristo, 3 nel quale sono nascosti tutti i tesori della sapienza e della scienza. 4 Dico questo perché nessuno vi inganni con argomenti seducenti, 5 perché, anche se sono lontano con il corpo, sono tra voi con lo spirito e gioisco al vedere la vostra condotta ordinata e la saldezza della vostra fede in Cristo.

II. FARE ATTENZIONE AGLI ERRORI

Vivere secondo la fede nel Cristo

6 Camminate dunque nel Signore Gesù Cristo, come l'avete ricevuto, 7 ben radicati e fondati in lui, saldi nella fede come vi è stato insegnato, abbondando nell'azione di grazie. 8 Badate che nessuno vi inganni con la sua filosofia e con vuoti raggiri ispirati alla tradizione umana, secondo gli elementi del mondo e non secondo Cristo.

Il Cristo, unico vero capo degli uomini e degli angeli

9 E' in Cristo che abita corporalmente tutta la pienezza della divinità, 10 e voi avete in lui parte alla sua pienezza, di lui cioè che è il capo di ogni Principato e di ogni Potestà. 11 In lui voi siete stati anche circoncisi, di una circoncisione però non fatta da mano di uomo, mediante la spogliazione del nostro corpo di carne, ma della vera circoncisione di Cristo. 12 Con lui infatti siete stati sepolti insieme nel battesimo, in lui anche siete stati insieme risuscitati per la fede nella potenza di Dio, che lo ha risuscitato dai morti. 13 Con lui Dio ha dato vita anche a voi, che eravate morti per i vostri peccati e per l'incirconcisione della vostra carne, perdonandoci tutti i peccati, 14 annullando il documento scritto del nostro debito, le cui condizioni ci erano sfavorevoli. Egli lo ha tolto di mezzo inchiodandolo alla croce; 15 avendo privato della loro forza i Principati e le Potestà ne ha fatto pubblico spettacolo dietro al corteo trionfale di Cristo.

Contro la falsa ascesi, secondo gli "elementi del mondo"

16 Nessuno dunque vi condanni più in fatto di cibo o di bevanda, o riguardo a feste, a noviluni e a sabati: 17 tutte cose queste che sono ombra delle future; ma la realtà invece è Cristo! 18 Nessuno v'impedisca di conseguire il premio, compiacendosi in pratiche di poco conto e nella venerazione degli angeli, seguendo le proprie pretese visioni, gonfio di vano orgoglio nella sua mente carnale, 19 senza essere stretto invece al capo, dal quale tutto il corpo riceve sostentamento e coesione per mezzo di giunture e legami, realizzando così la crescita secondo il volere di Dio.

20 Se pertanto siete morti con Cristo agli elementi del mondo, perché lasciarvi imporre, come se viveste ancora nel mondo, dei precetti quali 21 «Non prendere, non gustare, non toccare»? 22 Tutte cose destinate a scomparire con l'uso: sono infatti prescrizioni e insegnamenti di uomini! 23 Queste cose hanno una parvenza di sapienza, con la loro affettata religiosità e umiltà e austerità riguardo al corpo, ma in realtà non servono che per soddisfare la carne.

2 I want you to know how hard I am contending(A) for you and for those at Laodicea,(B) and for all who have not met me personally. 2 My goal is that they may be encouraged in heart(C) and united in love, so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery(D) of God, namely, Christ, 3 in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.(E) 4 I tell you this so that no one may deceive you by fine-sounding arguments.(F) 5 For though I am absent from you in body, I am present with you in spirit(G) and delight to see how disciplined(H) you are and how firm(I) your faith in Christ(J) is.

Spiritual Fullness in Christ

6 So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord,(K) continue to live your lives in him, 7 rooted(L) and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught,(M) and overflowing with thankfulness.

8 See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy,(N) which depends on human tradition and the elemental spiritual forces[a] of this world(O) rather than on Christ.

9 For in Christ all the fullness(P) of the Deity lives in bodily form, 10 and in Christ you have been brought to fullness. He is the head(Q) over every power and authority.(R) 11 In him you were also circumcised(S) with a circumcision not performed by human hands. Your whole self ruled by the flesh[b](T) was put off when you were circumcised by[c] Christ, 12 having been buried with him in baptism,(U) in which you were also raised with him(V) through your faith in the working of God, who raised him from the dead.(W)

13 When you were dead in your sins(X) and in the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made you[d] alive(Y) with Christ. He forgave us all our sins,(Z) 14 having canceled the charge of our legal indebtedness,(AA) which stood against us and condemned us; he has taken it away, nailing it to the cross.(AB) 15 And having disarmed the powers and authorities,(AC) he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them(AD) by the cross.[e]

Freedom From Human Rules

16 Therefore do not let anyone judge you(AE) by what you eat or drink,(AF) or with regard to a religious festival,(AG) a New Moon celebration(AH) or a Sabbath day.(AI) 17 These are a shadow of the things that were to come;(AJ) the reality, however, is found in Christ. 18 Do not let anyone who delights in false humility(AK) and the worship of angels disqualify you.(AL) Such a person also goes into great detail about what they have seen; they are puffed up with idle notions by their unspiritual mind. 19 They have lost connection with the head,(AM) from whom the whole body,(AN) supported and held together by its ligaments and sinews, grows as God causes it to grow.(AO)

20 Since you died with Christ(AP) to the elemental spiritual forces of this world,(AQ) why, as though you still belonged to the world, do you submit to its rules:(AR) 21 “Do not handle! Do not taste!
