رِسَالَةُ المَسِيحِ المَصلُوب
2 فَحِينَ جِئتُكُمْ أيُّهَا الإخْوَةُ، لَمْ آتِ مُذِيعًا عَلَيْكُمْ سِرَّ اللهِ بِكَلَامِ البَلَاغَةِ أوْ بِالحِكْمَةِ البَشَرِيَّةِ. 2 فَإنَّنِي صَمَّمتُ ألَّا أعرِفَ شَيْئًا وَأنَا بَيْنَكُمْ إلَّا يَسُوعَ المَسِيحَ وَمَوْتَهُ عَلَى الصَّلِيبِ. 3 فَجِئتُكُمْ فِي ضَعفٍ وَخَوفٍ وَارتِعَابٍ شَدِيدٍ. 4 وَلَمْ أُقَدِّمْ كَلَامِي وَرِسَالَتِي بِكَلِمَاتٍ مُقنِعَةٍ مِنَ الحِكْمَةِ البَشَرِيَّةِ، بَلْ بِبُرهَانِ الرُّوحِ وَقُوَّتِهِ. 5 وَذَلِكَ لِكَي لَا يَعْتَمِدَ إيمَانُكُمْ عَلَى حِكْمَةِ البَشَرِ، بَلْ عَلَى قُوَّةِ اللهِ.
حِكمَةُ الله
6 يُعلِنُ كلَامُنَا حِكْمَةً بَيْنَ النَّاضِجِينَ، لَكِنَّهَا لَيْسَتْ حِكمَةَ هَذَا العَالَمِ، وَلَا هِيَ مِنْ حُكَّامِ هَذَا العَالَمِ الزَّائِلِينَ. 7 لَكِنَّنَا نَتَكَلَّمُ عَنْ سِرِّ حِكمَةِ اللهِ الَّتِي كَانَتْ مَخفِيَّةً عَنِ النَّاسِ، لَكِنَّ اللهَ حَدَّدَهَا مُسْبَقًا قَبْلَ بَدءِ الزَّمَانِ مِنْ أجْلِ مَجْدِنَا. 8 وَهِيَ حِكمَةٌ لَمْ يَعْرِفْهَا أيٌّ مِنْ حُكَّامِ هَذَا العَالَمِ. فَلَو عَرَفُوهَا، لَمَا صَلَبُوا الرَّبَّ المَجِيدَ. 9 لَكِنْ كَمَا يَقُولُ الكِتَابُ:
«مَا لَمْ تُبصِرْهُ عَينٌ،
وَلَا سَمِعَتْ بِهِ أُذُنٌ،
وَلَا تَخَيَّلَهُ فِكرُ بَشَرٍ،
مَا أعَدَّهُ اللهُ لِلَّذينَ يُحِبُّونَهُ.»[a]
10 لَكِنَّ اللهَ أعلَنَهُ لَنَا بِالرَّوحِ القُدُسِ. فَالرُّوحُ يَكْشِفُ كُلَّ شَيءٍ، حَتَّى أعمَاقَ اللهِ.
11 فَلَا أحَدَ يَعْرِفُ أفكَارَ الإنْسَانِ إلَّا رُوحُ الإنْسَانِ الَّتِي فِيهِ، كَذَلِكَ لَا أحَدَ يَعْرِفُ أفكَارَ اللهِ إلَّا رُوحُ اللهِ. 12 لَكِنَّنَا لَمْ نَنَلْ رُوحَ العَالَمِ، بَلِ الرُّوحَ الَّذِي يَأتِي مِنَ اللهِ، لِكَي نَعْرِفَ الأشْيَاءَ الَّتِي وَهَبَنَا إيَّاهَا اللهُ. 13 وَهِيَ الأشْيَاءُ الَّتِي نَتَكَلَّمُ بِهَا وَلَمْ نَتَعَلَّمْهَا مِنْ بَشَرٍ، وَإنَّمَا هِيَ كَلِمَاتٌ يُعَلِّمُهَا لَنَا الرُّوحُ القُدُسُ، فَنُفَسِّرُ الحَقَائِقَ الرُّوحِيَّةَ بِكَلِمَاتٍ رُوحِيَّةٍ. 14 فَالشَّخصُ الَّذِي لَيْسَ فِيهِ رُوحُ اللهِ لَا يَقْبَلُ الحَقَائِقَ الَّتِي يُعلِنُهَا رُوحُ اللهِ، لِأنَّهُ يَعْتَبِرُهَا حَمَاقَةً، وَلَا يَسْتَطِيعُ أنْ يَفْهَمَهَا، لِأنَّهَا تُقَاسُ بِمِقيَاسٍ رُوحِيٍّ. 15 أمَّا الشَّخصُ الرُّوحِيُّ فَيَسْتَطِيعُ أنْ يَقِيسَ كُلَّ الأُمُورِ، لَكِنْ لَا يُمْكِنُ لِلآخَرِينَ أنْ يَقِيسُوهُ. 16 فَكَمَا هُوَ مَكْتُوبٌ:
«مَنْ ذَا الَّذِي يَعْرِفُ فِكرَ الرَّبِّ،
مَنْ يَسْتَطيعُ أنْ يُعَلِّمَ الرَّبَّ؟»[b]
أمَّا نَحْنُ فَلَنَا فِكرُ المَسِيحِ.

ב אחים יקרים, כאשר באתי לספר לכם בפעם הראשונה את בשורת אלוהים, לא השתמשתי במילים יפות ונשגבות, ולא העליתי רעיון גאוני כלשהו, 2 שכן החלטתי לספר לכם רק על אודות ישוע המשיח ומותו על הצלב. 3 באתי אליכם בחולשה, בפחד וברעדה, 4 ודברי היו ברורים למדי. לא ניסיתי לפתות אתכם בלשון חלקה, אבל רוח הקודש חיזק את דברי והוכיח לכל השומעים שאכן אלה הם דברי אלוהים. 5 עשיתי זאת משום שלא רציתי שאמונתכם תהיה מבוססת על חכמת בני-אדם, אלא על כוחו של אלוהים.
6 אך בהימצאי בין המבוגרים יותר באמונה, אני משתמש במילים בעלות משמעות עמוקה יותר – במילות חוכמה, לא חכמת העולם הזה, ולא חכמה המקובלת אצל גדולי העולם הזה שדינם נגזר לאבדון. 7 אלה הן מילות חכמה הניתנות על-ידי אלוהים, והמספרות על תוכניתו הנפלאה של אלוהים להביאנו למרומי השמים. עד לפני זמן-מה הייתה תוכניתו זאת בגדר סוד, אף כי תוכננה למעננו ונועדה לנו עוד לפני בריאת העולם. 8 אבל "חכמי העולם" לא הבינו זאת, כי אילו הבינו, לא היו צולבים את אדון הכבוד.
9 לכך התכוון הפסוק בישעיהו[a]: "עין לא ראתה, ואוזן לא שמעה, ולא עלה על לב אדם את אשר הכין האלוהים לאוהביו".
10 אבל אנחנו יודעים מה הם הדברים הנפלאים האלה, כי אלוהים שלח את רוחו לגלות לנו, והרוח חוקר, מברר הכול ומגלה לנו את סודותיו הכמוסים והנפלאים של אלוהים. 11 איש אינו יודע מה חושב אדם אחר, מלבד רוח האדם שבו עצמו; ואיש אינו יכול לדעת מה חושב אלוהים, מלבד רוח הקודש. 12 ואלוהים לא נתן לנו את רוח העולם, כי אם את רוחו שלו – את רוח הקודש, כדי שיגלה לנו מהן המתנות הנפלאות שהעניק לנו ה' ברוב חסדו, ובאילו ברכות ברך אותנו. 13 איננו מספרים לכם על כך במילים שלנו, אלא במילים של רוח הקודש, כלומר, אנו משתמשים במילים מרוח הקודש כדי להסביר דברים רוחניים. 14 אולם מי שאינו מאמין במשיח, אינו מסוגל להבין את דברי רוח הקודש, והם נשמעים לו מטופשים למדי, כי רק מי ששוכן בו רוח ה' מסוגל להבין דברים רוחניים. 15 ואילו האדם הרוחני – זה שרוח הקודש שוכן בו – בוחן וחוקר כל דבר, בעוד שהוא עצמו אינו נבחן ואינו נידון על-ידי איש. הוא יכול להבין את המשמעות של כל דבר, אולם איש אינו יכול לאמוד ולשפוט אותו. 16 ודאי תשאלו: איך יכול המאמין להבין הכול, הרי אין הוא מסוגל לקרוא את מחשבותיו של אלוהים או לשוחח איתו על כך? התשובה היא: אנחנו, המאמינים, יודעים את מחשבותיו של אלוהים, מפני שרוח המשיח שוכן בנו.

2 And so it was with me, brothers and sisters. When I came to you, I did not come with eloquence or human wisdom(A) as I proclaimed to you the testimony about God.[a] 2 For I resolved to know nothing while I was with you except Jesus Christ and him crucified.(B) 3 I came to you(C) in weakness(D) with great fear and trembling.(E) 4 My message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words,(F) but with a demonstration of the Spirit’s power,(G) 5 so that your faith might not rest on human wisdom, but on God’s power.(H)
God’s Wisdom Revealed by the Spirit
6 We do, however, speak a message of wisdom among the mature,(I) but not the wisdom of this age(J) or of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing.(K) 7 No, we declare God’s wisdom, a mystery(L) that has been hidden(M) and that God destined for our glory before time began. 8 None of the rulers of this age(N) understood it, for if they had, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.(O) 9 However, as it is written:
“What no eye has seen,
what no ear has heard,
and what no human mind has conceived”[b]—
the things God has prepared for those who love him—(P)
10 these are the things God has revealed(Q) to us by his Spirit.(R)
The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God. 11 For who knows a person’s thoughts(S) except their own spirit(T) within them? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. 12 What we have received is not the spirit(U) of the world,(V) but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may understand what God has freely given us. 13 This is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom(W) but in words taught by the Spirit, explaining spiritual realities with Spirit-taught words.[c] 14 The person without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God(X) but considers them foolishness,(Y) and cannot understand them because they are discerned only through the Spirit. 15 The person with the Spirit(Z) makes judgments about all things, but such a person is not subject to merely human judgments, 16 for,
But we have the mind of Christ.(AB)
